Vulnerability is core - essential - to who I am, it's not an obstacle/burden to be got rid of. When I lack the courage to be vulnerable, however, I'm left feeling lonely and insecure. Conversely, the more courageously I enter upon, embody and express my vulnerability, the more unbounded and interconnected my life is felt to be. For vulnerability is a portal through which tender, sensitive connection to the wholeness of life is made possible - through this connection, our lives can flow free...

Welcome.

Welcome to what is.

Here,

In this moment,

All there is,

Is this.

This freedom.

This free flowing aliveness that we call life.

This freedom is all there is.

And this is enough.

We don't actually need anything more or less than this.

For simply being this,

What is already is enough.

We can lay down the need to be or to get something else,

Something other than this.

Because right here,

There is so much richness just waiting to be explored.

We can begin our exploration with the breath.

Notice the quality,

The nature of our breath,

How soft it is,

How smooth it flows.

It has an almost light quality to it as it flows in and out of the body.

We can accentuate this exploration by taking deeper breaths,

Longer breaths,

Deep down into the belly,

Allowing the breath to fill up and expand our body.

Each exhalation is like a miniature release.

The body and the mind begin to rest more deeply into the breathing.

We can really let ourselves go in that exhalation,

Really let ourselves flow.

With each in-breath,

Our body fills and expands with the energy of the breath.

It's soft,

Luminous touch,

Awakening every cell,

Every fibre of our being.

And with each out-breath,

Our body can release,

Relax,

Unravel precipitatively,

As each time we begin to let go a little more.

The thoughts and the feelings that are present are no obstacle to this breathing.

They are no burden to breathing.

They are part and parcel of the breathing.

They are just another form that is being breathed in this open,

Soft,

Full body breathing.

As far as this breathing is concerned,

The thoughts and the feelings that arise here are no burden.

They are welcome here.

They are welcome to bathe in this breath energy.

They are welcome to arise and float on by.

You may notice how the thoughts and the feelings respond to this treatment,

To this welcoming,

To this soft,

Smooth,

Open breathing.

In being welcomed in this way,

In being breathed in this way,

The thoughts and the feelings begin to open up,

Begin to breathe themselves.

And with this opening,

They begin to flow.

No longer are they held tight.

Now they can breathe,

Open up and unravel in this open,

Full body breathing.

No longer are they held tight.

Whatever feelings may be present in your experience,

Whether they be worry or anger,

Concern or frustration,

Boredom,

Resistance,

Whatever it may be,

It's welcome here.

However uncomfortable it may feel,

It's welcome here in this open,

Soft breathing.

This full body breathing.

They too can begin to receive this breath.

They too can begin to breathe,

Begin to release,

Open and unravel in this softness,

In this flowing openness,

In this full body breathing.

If we tune into the nature of these feelings,

This discomfort,

If we feel into the essence of what these tense,

Compacted expressions are really like,

We can feel like there's some imperative,

Some pressure in their activity,

In their energy.

They want something.

They need something.

And if we check in and lean deeply into that energy,

We can begin to trace those needs back to something deeper,

Back to something more essential,

Core to who we are.

And we may begin to just feel the edges of that core feeling,

That core need.

We can feel that neediness,

That yearning,

Which may express itself as this or that emotion,

Which may proclaim itself as this or that thought.

But in its essence,

It's simply a need to connect,

To no longer feel compacted,

Contracted,

Alone.

And if we tune into that core sense of yearning,

Of seeking connection,

Seeking a sense of belonging,

We can begin to really understand where these feelings are coming from,

And really appreciate with compassion their genuine desire to simply be whole and complete.

And to aid us in this exploration,

We have travelling with us all this way,

The breath,

Soft,

Smooth,

Deep flowing breath,

Aiding us and supporting us on our journey.

We can breathe this core yearning.

We can breathe this desire for belonging.

We can breathe this tender,

Vulnerable,

Want to simply connect,

To simply belong,

To simply be whole and complete in this moment.

We can breathe it all with this tender breath,

This vulnerable breath.

And in breathing this vulnerability,

We let this vulnerability know that it's welcome.

In being this vulnerability,

Without question,

Without hesitation,

We can begin to be comfortable with our vulnerability.

We can begin to feel safe with being vulnerable.

And we can begin to realise and experience the power of what it is to be courageously vulnerable in this breath,

This deeply,

Heart achingly vulnerable breath.

Breathing our whole body.

Breathing our whole body.

And instead of insecurity,

We find the confidence to breathe this vulnerability.

Instead of anxiety,

We find the curiosity to breathe this vulnerability.

Instead of anger,

We find the strength to breathe this vulnerability.

Instead of lust,

We find the passion to breathe this vulnerability.

Instead of shutting down,

We find the freedom to breathe our vulnerable self,

Our vulnerable core,

Our vulnerable essential beingness.

This vulnerability is core to who we are.

It's not going away.

It's not to be got rid of or vanquished.

This vulnerability is the source of all our power.

And in being courageously vulnerable,

We discover the full extent of what it is to be passionately human,

To be fully alive in this moment.

This is full body breathing.

Continue in this way for as long as you feel delighted to do so.

And if you ever want to come back and start again,

You're always welcome.

You're always welcome.

For here is connection.

Here,

Right here,

Is belonging.

This already is whole and complete as it is.

And this is who you are.

And this is all there is.

This is more than enough.

Joy.

Joy.

Ah.

Ah.
