This guided meditation gently leads you into the present moment by tuning into the subtle details of your breath and bodily sensations. Inspired by the teachings of Jon Kabat-Zinn, the practice cultivates mindfulness by encouraging awareness of the smallest experiences and sounds, fostering a sense of calm and grounding. It serves as a simple yet powerful way to deepen your connection to the here and now, promoting clarity and inner peace. Music by Chris Collins

Transcript

Sit comfortably and gently close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,

Allow your body to settle.

Bring your attention to the sensation of your breath.

Notice the coolness as the air enters your nose and the warmth as it leaves.

Begin to focus on the small details.

What do you notice?

Perhaps it's the gentle rise and fall of your chest or the subtle movement of your shoulders as you breathe.

Maybe it's the feeling of your clothes against your skin or the pressure of your body on the surface beneath you.

Mindfulness is about paying attention to the present moment.

As you continue to sit here,

Try to notice the tiniest sensations or sounds around you.

What do you hear?

The faint hum of the room,

Distant noises outside.

Can you notice the stillness that exists beneath it all?

Stay with this practice for several more rounds of breath.

Allow yourself to become deeply aware of the small,

Often unnoticed moments.

When you're ready,

Gently bring your awareness back to the room,

Feeling grounded and present in this moment.
