Namaste and welcome to this meditation.

Today we'll be using the Sanskrit mantra,

So Hum.

Towards the end you'll hear me ring a soft bell,

Which means that it's time to let go of the mantra.

Just keep your eyes closed,

Rest and wait for my instructions.

Let's begin the meditation together.

Just sitting comfortably and closing your eyes.

And take a few deep breaths in through the nose and let it out through the mouth.

Once again in through the nose and out through the mouth.

One more time in through the nose.

And as you exhale through the mouth,

Just letting go of what no longer serves you.

Just maybe seeing if you can make yourself perhaps 5 or 10% more comfortable.

And with each inhalation and exhalation just allow yourself to become more relaxed,

More comfortable and more at peace.

Just putting aside anything that might be on your mind before you came into this space.

Now just bringing your attention and your awareness into your heart center and the center of your chest.

We're going to ask ourselves a few questions.

Just gently repeating each one silently to yourself.

And just listen to whatever answers come up without any judgement or evaluation.

Don't try to intellectualize it too much.

Just simply silently ask yourself these questions and just notice the responses that come to you without forcing anything.

Whatever happens is perfect.

Just simply ask the questions and rest in being.

So the first question we'll ask ourselves is who am I?

Who am I?

So you may not know the answer to this question.

This is a good time to start this dialogue with the universe.

Who am I?

The next question just asking yourself silently,

What do I want?

The answers may be material or perhaps spiritual or emotional.

Just anything you would like to see fulfilled,

What do I want?

Then the next question we ask is what is my dharma or my purpose in life?

How can I help?

How can I be of service?

So again just allowing the responses to come to you.

Just simply ask the question and pay attention.

Just notice what you notice.

What is my purpose?

And then lastly just ask yourself silently,

What am I grateful for?

Just by simply asking this question we change our physiology and as you cast your mind maybe back to the last 24 hours to something that made you feel grateful or thankful.

Perhaps it was a compliment from a friend or somebody did you a favor.

You may experience thoughts,

Feelings,

Images or sensations.

Just tune into those feelings of gratitude.

Or you may experience nothing at all and that's totally fine.

Just be open.

What am I grateful for?

Now just let go of all of those questions and answers.

Just release them back to the universe.

Just gently and effortlessly just bring your awareness to your breath.

Just simply observing the inflow and outflow without trying to control it in any way.

Just continue to easily and effortlessly observe your breath.

If you've noticed that your attention is drifting away to thoughts or noises in your environment then just smile and be grateful that you've noticed.

Just gently come back to observing your breath.

Just inhale and exhale.

So we're going to introduce our mantra.

So hum.

So just please begin by silently repeating the sound so hum.

So hum.

Just silently repeat the word so as you breathe in.

And hum as you breathe out.

So so with the inhalation.

And hum on the exhalation.

There's no need to focus or concentrate just have a simple awareness of the sound so as you inhale and hum as you exhale.

Your breath may get faster or slower it may get deeper or shallower.

However it changes just simply observe it innocently and just silently repeating so hum.

So on the inhale.

And hum on the exhale.

So don't look for any particular kind of experience or wait for something to happen.

Just simply and innocently just go with the flow.

And whenever your attention drifts to thoughts in your mind or sounds in your environment just gently return your breath to silently repeating so hum.

And I'll watch the time and I'll let you know when it's time to come back.

So so so so so so so so so please keep your eyes closed and release the mantra.

You can stop observing your breath and just rest comfortably.

Just rest for a moment in this space of pure awareness just rest in existence.

Take a deep breath in and exhale perhaps noticing any changes in the body.

Now in this space of pure awareness will plant our intentions together.

So just silently repeating in your mind.

Joyful energetic body.

Joyful energetic body.

Loving compassionate heart.

Alert and reflective mind.

Alert and reflective mind.

And a lightness of being.

Lightness of being.

Bringing your hands together at your heart center in the center of your chest just bowing gratitude to your soul the one who brought you here the one that is connected to all that is our hum.

But I must me.

And whenever you're ready.

Just softly opening your eyes and coming back to this present moment in this time and space together.

Namaste.
