Hi,
My name is Jessie and today I am going to teach you a meditation that can help you be more grounded.
To begin,
You want to find a comfortable seated position and you can do this by sitting in a chair or a cushion.
Just for a little visualization,
We are going to imagine that we have a bowl.
Now this bowl does not have to look like this,
This is just a visual representation.
We are going to imagine this bowl at three different parts of our body.
We can imagine it at our solar plexus,
Which is right above our belly button,
Our heart,
And the crown of our head.
So to begin,
We just want to close our eyes as always and connect with our breathing.
Just inhaling through the nose,
Filling the stomach,
Diaphragm,
And the chest,
And exhaling through the nose.
Inhaling nice and deeply and exhaling as well.
Begin to fill up all three parts of the lungs filling the stomach,
The diaphragm,
And the chest.
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the nose.
Whenever the attention wanders off,
Just gently but firmly call the awareness back to the breath over and over again.
Just staying with it,
Staying with the breath,
Keeping the eyes closed,
Blocking out anything that is happening.
And we can do this simply by acknowledging it and then just letting it go.
Any sounds in the background,
Inside or outside,
Just acknowledge it and let it go.
Breathing comfortably and naturally.
Staying with our breath.
And now we want to bring our full awareness to that point right above our belly button,
The solar plexus.
And we are simply going to imagine a cup.
There a small bowl.
And this bowl can look like anything that you want.
Anything that resonates with you.
Perhaps it's yellow in color.
That is the color of the solar plexus chakra,
So bear that in mind.
Bringing the awareness back to the bowl over and over again.
Whenever the mic wanders off,
Getting a really good visual representation of it in your mind's eye.
And just imagine that small bowl filling with a beautiful shimmery liquid that is going to fill that small bowl and it's going to overflow it.
Your cup overfloweth now and it will go all the way out of that bowl,
All the way down your legs,
All the way down to the ground,
Pouring into the ground,
Helping you to feel more connected with the earth.
Just going right out the bottoms of your feet,
Just imagining this.
Staying with the breath,
Envisioning this bowl,
Maybe it's made of citrine,
Beautiful yellow stone.
Then after a time,
This bowl,
It becomes like a fountain and it is shooting this beautiful shimmery liquid up,
Up,
Up,
All the way to the heart center.
Maybe placing your hand over your heart.
Now imagining a small bowl here,
It is facing upward and it is being filled by the bowl that is around your solar plexus.
Now your heart chakra is green,
So maybe imagining a green bowl here,
Perhaps it's made out of jade.
It can look any way that you want that.
And imagine this bowl is filling up to the brim and overflowing.
And as it overflows,
It fills up the cup that's down at your solar plexus,
The first cup that we had,
Which is still overflowing all the way down your legs,
All the way down to your feet and into the ground,
Helping us feel connected.
If it is helpful,
Perhaps you can take your fingers and trace the path of this wonderful shimmery viscous liquid that is helping you to become more grounded in your body,
More grounded with the earth.
And then just imagining that this liquid is shooting up from the heart center,
Going to the crown of your head.
Now most people,
Their bowl is pointed down,
But we're going to imagine ours pointing up.
Now the crown chakra is a deep purple color,
So we can imagine a bowl at the crown of our head.
And this bowl is being filled by the one that is at our heart chakra.
It has turned into a beautiful fountain just shooting up to fill the bowl at the very top of the head.
And this bowl is filling up with this beautiful shimmery liquid and it's overflowing.
And it is flowing all the way down your head,
Down your neck,
All the way back into the bowl at your heart center,
Going down your arms,
Down your fingertips,
And then flowing,
Flowing into the very first bowl,
Flowing down to the earth,
All the way down your legs,
Down your feet,
Through your heels and into the ground.
Really working to imagine all of these bowls working together as a beautiful fountain in your body,
Allowing the energy to move through your body in a complete cycle.
Maybe you can feel it happening,
Maybe not.
It's okay.
And returning to the breath.
Just observing the breath as you breathe in through your nose and out through the nose.
Really observing your breath,
Breathing in and out,
Staying with the breath,
Just letting things go.
If anything comes to the forefront of your mind,
Any thoughts or emotions,
Just simply observing them and then letting them go.
We're not attached to these thoughts,
We're not attached to these emotions.
They just start.
It's okay.
Just staying with your breath for another moment or two.
And whenever you're ready,
You can just slowly open your eyes.
