Welcome to this short practice,

The three-step breathing space.

An opportunity to pause,

To notice what's happening,

Ground yourself in the breath and then return to your daily activities.

So we're starting with a broad field of awareness and for this practice we can begin by just noticing what you can see,

Starting with eyes open,

Simply looking around,

Simply noticing what's present.

Then gently closing your eyes or lowering your gaze if that feels comfortable and safe.

Opening your awareness to sounds,

Noticing what you can hear.

Maybe noticing any fragrances in the air,

Beginning to feel just a little bit deeper.

Maybe becoming aware of what's happening in the mind,

Thoughts.

Maybe noticing emotional atmosphere,

Feelings,

Any sensations in the body.

Are we noticing this without needing to change anything,

Simply feeling what's present.

Open awareness of all of your experience as it is right now and are gathering your awareness on sensations of breathing,

Focusing your awareness on the sensations of the breath in a part of the body where you feel the breath most strongest and just staying with the breath.

And now beginning to expand your awareness again,

Feeling the body,

Opening awareness to sounds and just very gradually beginning to bring yourself back into your space,

Opening your eyes and just returning to your activities where you left them.
