Welcome.
My name is Karen Jones and I'm a retired OBGYN physician,
An energy healer,
And a mentor and embodiment coach for the feminine.
My joy is to lead meditations to help women to thrive and this series is specifically about helping us,
Us women,
Deeply connect to our feminine power.
The first of the meditations in this series was about connecting with our feminine so we can feel safe and the second was connecting to this feminine deep within to embody our confidence.
The next step is that of embodying pleasure and that is our focus today.
Imagine we're in a circle together sitting with our feet on the ground spine straight in a circle of women and we are here together to deeply embody our feminine power.
Allow yourself to close your eyes and put your awareness on your breath.
Notice as you breathe in your chest and your belly fill with air and how they empty as you release the breath.
As you breathe in you are breathing in all of your good,
The good the universe has for you and as you breathe out release any tension,
Any thoughts that are saying I can't,
Any burdens from the day.
Allow yourself to release them as you exhale.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Exhale through your mouth with a ha sound ha.
Another deep breath through your nose,
Exhaling through your mouth with a ha sound ha.
And one more time.
Ahh.
Letting your awareness drop further into your hips and pelvis,
Down your legs,
Your knees,
Your lower legs and feet and now dropping further deep into the center of the earth into the mother.
It is the earth and our connection to her that supports our physicality,
Our bodies.
Now bringing your awareness back to your hips and pelvis,
Breathing as if you're breathing in and out of your hips and pelvis.
Let your awareness spread out from your hips and pelvis to the edges of the room.
This allows your energy body to be like a pyramid,
Solidly rooted.
And with your awareness in your hips and pelvis,
Bring to mind a time when you were you at your most resourceful.
Whether you just finished a project brilliantly or were really there for someone who needed your compassionate presence or you created a meal for your family that was so welcoming and loving and nutritious.
This is you at your most capable,
Resourceful,
Wise,
Compassionate.
Now letting your awareness drop deep into your hips and pelvis,
Imagining,
Visualizing that you're connecting with your uterus,
Your tubes,
Your ovaries,
Your vagina,
This deep cave within you,
Source of creation,
Mystery and power,
And a deep source of pleasure.
Let us lean into pleasure,
Pleasure through our senses,
Keeping your awareness in your uterus.
Imagine yourself tasting something that is really pleasurable to you.
Maybe it's chocolate,
Maybe an avocado,
Raspberries,
Something that tastes so yummy,
So pleasurable that imagining it makes your mouth water.
Pretend,
Imagine,
Know you are tasting something so savory,
So yummy.
And if you need to stop this recording for a couple minutes to really imagine that,
Do so.
Taste.
Next,
Hearing.
Imagine you're hearing something that you just so love to hear.
Maybe it's the melody of wind chimes in a gentle breeze.
Maybe there's a song you particularly love to hear a dance to.
The sound of bells.
A loved one saying,
I love you.
Whatever it is,
Imagine it,
Pretend it,
Know it's there.
The sound of wind in the leaves.
Pleasurable hearing.
Sight,
Vision.
Imagine yourself looking at something that brings great pleasure.
Maybe it's the flowers in your yard.
The play of sun and clouds in the sky.
The face of someone you love.
Butterfly.
The pink of blossoms just coming out on the trees.
Looking at yourself in the mirror and loving how you look.
The pleasure of vision.
And now the pleasure of smell of scent.
The fragrance of flowers.
The smell of your healthy sweat after a good workout.
After you danced.
Maybe it's the smell of coffee roasting.
Or a fire that you can just smell.
The earliest memory of smell that you have.
The pleasure of smell.
And touch.
The pleasure of the sensation of touch.
The breeze on your face.
Your hair moving in the wind.
The warmth of the sun on your skin.
Clothes that feel the air.
Clothes that feel good on.
So pleasurable,
So luxurious.
Taking a flower and stroking your skin with it.
The hug of someone you love.
Closing your eyes and touching,
Stroking your hand right now.
How that feels.
Gentle touch.
Dancing.
The joy,
The pleasure of movement,
Dancing to drum beats.
To tango music,
Music that gets you in your body and moving in ways that is so pleasurable.
Let yourself imagine you're dancing to drum beats to the tango.
And now letting your awareness drop back into your hips and pelvis.
The pleasure of being in a body.
The pleasure of our senses.
Consider how much pleasure will you allow yourself today.
Listen to your uterus,
Your womb.
What is your womb telling you about your need for pleasure?
It may come as words,
Images,
A sensation,
A knowingness.
As you ask what is my need for pleasure in this body,
Asking your womb space.
You may get an answer or you may not get an answer today.
But I invite you to listen to this every day for a week or two.
To step into allowing yourself to experience more pleasure.
This sensory pleasure is the foundation of joy and play and bliss and of creativity.
Which is where we'll go next.
So wiggling your fingers and toes.
