Namaste.

Welcome.

This is Kristen and this is a short non-sleep deep rest practice.

A 10 minute experience that you can weave in anytime,

Any place where you just need to take a deep breath and hit that reset button.

To relax behind the healing essence of closed eyes because sometimes there's no place I'd rather be than behind closed eyes,

Opening the doors to the self and who you really are.

When things become overwhelming or when the grip of the external world becomes too much,

I hope you can use this practice and add it into your toolkit anytime you need it,

Any place.

Take a moment here to get the body completely comfortable.

Maybe on your bed,

Your yoga mat,

The couch.

You might reach for a blanket or an eye pillow.

Ensure that you are warm,

Comfortable,

Supported,

Nestled in to your little cocoon,

A sanctuary,

A place where you can rest even just for a moment.

Know that there's nothing that you need to do.

Know where that you need to be.

Find comfort in knowing that you are here.

Take a deep breath in and release.

Letting go of tension.

So we start to weave in the physiological side.

On your next inhale,

Invite in two sips of air through the nose.

One long,

Smooth,

Slow breath out.

And do that two more times.

Two sips in.

One breath out.

Letting go.

One more.

Two more.

Allowing tension to dissolve away from the physical body.

Relaxing now into simply just listening.

Give yourself permission to rest as you allow the ears to open,

Not only hearing,

But intimately listening.

Begin to welcome all of the sounds that are present in the space around you.

The sounds of this recording.

The sound of your own breath.

Now it is time to rest.

We'll weave in a sankopa.

I am resting deeply to give my body,

Mind,

And spirit the time that it needs to reset.

Calling in your sankopa three times.

Affirming it.

Can you feel it?

With each breath,

Continue to welcome in a set of sounds.

With each breath,

Continue to welcome in a sense of letting go.

Soften,

Melting into stillness,

Into the quietude of rest.

Allow all of your awareness to settle at the center of the forehead.

Relaxing the eyes behind the eyelids.

The eyes becoming heavy.

Relax the jaw.

Sensing the tip of the tongue.

The root of the tongue.

The right ear.

Outer ear.

And inner ear.

Listening.

The left ear.

Outer ear.

Inner ear.

Listening.

Awareness resting in the space between the ears for a moment.

The center of the chest.

Heart center.

The center.

Dividing your attention into both shoulders.

Upper arms.

Elbows.

Forearms.

Wrists.

Palms of the hands.

And backs of the hands.

All ten fingers.

And the tips of the fingers.

Even the spaces between the fingers.

Sensing both hands and both arms simultaneously.

Awareness filling both arms.

And the volume of the arms.

Center of the chest.

Solar plexus.

Naval center.

And the low belly.

Attention dividing into both hips.

Upper legs.

Front and back.

Knees.

And backs of the knees.

Lower legs.

Ankles.

Heels.

Soles of the feet.

And tops of the feet.

All ten toes.

The tips of the toes.

And the spaces between the toes.

Awareness like a wave.

Feeling the volume of both legs simultaneously.

Like a wave of awareness.

Down both legs.

Sensing the whole body resting.

Allow the whole body to rest.

Healing,

Regenerative rest.

Allow your awareness to fill the whole right hemisphere of the body.

The right arm sends light.

Right side of the torso.

Awareness moving across the midline of the body to the left hemisphere.

Sensing the left arm.

Leg.

Left side of the torso.

The whole left side.

Sensing both hemispheres of the body as one radiant being.

Begin to notice the breath within the lungs.

The natural flow of breath.

Notice the body not only being breathed.

But the breath breathing the body.

Expansion.

Contraction.

Filling up.

Emptying out.

Tuning into the body's natural rhythms.

Within the stillness.

Now with each breath.

Imagine the body sinking.

One inch deeper down into the support beneath you.

Each exhale.

Letting go.

Letting go.

Letting go.

Wrapped in a safe,

Warm cocoon.

A healing embrace.

A momentary rest.

Begin to welcome back in your sankalpa.

I am resting deeply.

To give my body,

Mind,

And spirit the time that it needs to reset.

Calling in your sankalpa three times.

Welcoming in a sense of the earth beneath you.

The sky above you.

The walls around you.

Noticing sounds within your space.

Fragrance.

Beginning to bring your awareness back into the body.

And back home to the breath.

Taking a deep breath in.

And a deeper breath out.

You are welcome to stay as long as you need.

I hope that you feel rested.

Recharged.

Reset.

Knowing that you can come back to this practice anytime,

Any day.

Love her voice. Very gentle and soothing. The only thing I wish were different is that the sound of the waves were further back in the mix. They kept rolling in at a much faster pace than her voice and it was distracting for me. Or next one using waves should have โ€œslower wavesโ€ rolling in. Otherwise, amazing! Following this teacher now.

I have used this so many times and I am doing it on my own as well when I can't listen. I haven't listened for a bit and it's even more effective than I remembered!
