Good evening,

Or welcome to a well-deserved break in your active day.

Lying on your back,

Legs and arms open,

Uncrossed,

Give up the weight of your body to the surface that is holding you.

Feel as if each place your body is touching the mat,

Couch or bed.

You are being cradled,

Held.

Breathe in,

Filling with energy,

As if you are a bellows.

Feel your chest rising,

Broadening.

Gently,

Just like a feather floats through the air,

Exhale slowly,

Smoothly,

Softly,

Bellows flattening.

Inhale again and feel those places that your body is being held and cradled.

At the heels,

Your calves,

Your buttocks,

Shoulders and the back of your skull.

Allow yourself to nestle into this surface,

To give the weight of your body through it,

To the floor,

To the earth.

Let the mother hold you.

With your next exhalation,

Release and sigh,

A deep audible sigh,

Let go.

Just imagine that waist down,

Your body is gently floating on a raft downstream,

Gently rocking,

Releasing tension.

This rocking action allows you to release that deep fatigue.

Imagine that waist up,

Your body is gently floating upstream,

Rocking,

Releasing tension at your shoulder blades,

The neck area,

The jaw,

Elongating your whole spinal column,

Opening you,

Allowing you to feel receptive to new qualities of energy.

So that as you inhale,

You feel like a sponge filling with energy.

Your whole body is receiving the tops of your feet,

The tops of your legs,

Abdomen,

Your heart,

Throat,

Forehead.

As you exhale,

Allow any tension to melt away,

Releasing empty the sponge.

Emphasize your exhale,

Just letting go.

As you inhale,

Feel yourself absorbing like a sponge,

Those feelings of comfort,

Ease,

Security,

Relaxation,

Rising up within you,

Within the well of your being,

Opening,

Guided by your essence.

Feel this energy restoring you,

Nurturing you,

Feeding you.

Allow yourself to receive this.

Allow yourself to be fed from the inside out.

Just simply by tuning into the breath,

By acknowledging yourself,

Giving yourself time to open,

To relax,

To let go,

You can,

You are able to feed yourself from your center.

Feel all the way into the center of your bones,

All the way into the center of your trunk,

All the way to the center of your eyes.

Feel yourself breathing all the way to your core,

And then from your core,

Exhaling and deeply letting go.

Feel that gentle rocking action,

Softening any places you hold or are tense.

Allow your spinal column to rest,

Each vertebra floating,

Rocking.

Allow your pelvic bowl to rest,

The contents of your abdomen to be held,

Cradled,

Releasing any tension that may reside there.

Allow your lungs and heart to rest within your rib cage,

Rib cage rocking,

Releasing.

Even allow the contents of your head to rest,

To be held,

So that your whole body,

Top to bottom,

Is translating,

Communicating,

Rejuvenating.

Feel the intelligence of your body circulating through you in a gentle,

Pervasive manner,

Circulating around your toes,

Through your ankles,

The inside of your knees,

Your whole pelvic bowl,

Your whole rib cage,

All the way through your forehead,

Eyes,

Jaw,

All the way through your back muscles,

Chest muscles,

So that as you breathe now,

You are breathing with your whole body,

Ingesting,

Opening in a calm,

Restful manner.

As you exhale,

You are letting go of the day,

Just releasing,

Just letting all those thoughts,

All those activities,

Just float downstream.

You can pull them up whenever you want to,

But just let them go now,

Release,

Be here in this moment.

If any thoughts or feelings from the day float up,

See them being cradled and rocked downstream,

Safe,

Moving away,

Release them.

Appreciate your body's need to rejuvenate,

To be nurtured.

Give this gift to yourself on a regular basis,

Appreciating the world of comfort,

Ease within you,

Appreciating your essence,

Your presence,

And honoring yourself by cradling yourself.

Really pull to mind the quality of energy you want to surround yourself with for the rest of the day,

That you want to take into your dream state.

Is it clarity,

Strength,

Compassion,

Self-forgiveness,

Acceptance,

Enthusiasm,

Gentleness,

Energizing energy?

Which is it as you breathe in,

Fill yourself with this quality of energy,

Fully breathing it in all the way in to your core.

Feel it.

Breathe it into each and every healthy cell.

Feel it resonating there,

Moving,

Intelligent,

Organized.

As you exhale,

You can let go of tension,

Tiredness,

Fear,

The need to always be on,

Productive,

Focused,

Open to the natural rhythm of activity and rest so that the intelligence of your body,

So that the clarity of your emotions can emerge,

Can guide you,

Lead you on this most perfect path of purpose that is your very own.

Feel that you are being bathed in this energy of choice.

Drop it all the way into the very center of your being.

Drink it in.

Nurture yourself with these thoughts,

These feelings of comfort,

Ease,

Relaxation.

Remember the escalator carrying you to each and every appropriate situation,

Contact,

Communication,

Opportunity,

Trust.

Feel yourself on that escalator even now,

No hurry,

No rush.

Feel guided by your essence,

Your presence.

Allow the tension,

Tiredness,

Fatigue to seep out of you.

Let it go.

Give it back.

Fill yourself instead with these qualities that you have chosen,

That you want to live in your awareness.

Be the author of your own state of mind,

Your own emotional climate,

Just simply by giving attention to those feelings,

Those thoughts of choice,

Those attitudes,

Those attributes,

Gentleness,

Self-forgiveness,

Acceptance,

Enthusiasm,

Clarity,

Strength,

Compassion.

With each inhalation,

We have an opportunity to open,

To activate,

To fill up,

To name these thoughts,

These attitudes with which we want to live.

Feel that whole pregnant void around you.

The pregnant void that holds your thoughts,

That you receive intuitions from,

That you speak into.

Notice what thoughts come to your mind.

Notice which thoughts you can just release.
