So as you come to settle in Shavasana,

Feel the support of the earth underneath you,

Just allowing yourself to adjust and shuffle and take up the length and the width and the space that your body is asking for,

This feeling of simply arriving here in Shavasana,

Moving more closely towards your meditative practice,

So receiving the breath,

Our Pranavayu.

How are we nourishing our Pranavayu?

In this space through movement,

Through breath,

Through awareness,

Through clear space we awaken this opportunity within us to become discerning about what we are taking in and through being discerning,

Understanding what is nourishing us and what is depleting us,

Finding that balance,

We can connect with this Pranavayu through this inhalation.

Think about that sweet joy of receiving,

The sweet joy of a much needed breath,

Sweet joy of a long glass of water when you're thirsty,

Sweet joy of a good meal when you're hungry,

Sweet joy of receiving touch when you feel alone,

Receiving friendship when somebody reaches out.

This is all nourishment to our energy body,

So as you receive the earth and its support and this breath that is breathing you,

Your awareness moves to your heart space and your heart space awakening that loving intention,

The I AM statement that you can receive like sweet nourishment for a need within you.

As you silently repeat your loving intention three times,

It awakens a felt sense like a pebble dropping into a pond,

It's ripples,

Rippling out through the cells of the being,

Lapping at the tips of the fingers and the tips of the toes and the crown of the head and then we carry the awareness around the body,

Moving a subtle space,

Clearing subtle space for loving intention to flow,

Beginning at the space between the eyebrows,

The middle of the mind,

Point in the spine behind the diaphragm,

Point in the spine behind the heart,

Point in the spine behind the throat,

Very centre of the head,

The middle of the mind,

And the whole body together in your awareness,

Each point in the body that your awareness has touched,

Together in your awareness,

Whole body together,

Now awareness resting with your breath as you feel this ebb and flow of natural breath,

Simply aware of natural breath,

And with every exhalation awakening feelings of giving,

The feeling of giving with every exhalation,

And with your inhalation as you become aware of your inhalation,

Awakening feelings of receiving,

Memory or imagination,

The feelings of receiving,

Giving on the exhalation,

Receiving on the inhalation,

This balance of giving and receiving,

Then moving your awareness to the space between the eyebrows as you look out beyond your closed eyelids,

Towards the space where you see dreams,

Looking into the inky darkness,

Having this sense of awareness for whatever visual information arises and falls away,

It's like a breath,

Something in awareness of what is there,

And then awakening from memory or imagination,

The images and symbols you hear name,

Inverted red triangle,

Feelings of connection,

Full moon,

The ocean at night,

Feeling how,

Sunflower in full bloom,

The warmth of midday sun,

Feeling passionate,

Candle burning in a dark room,

A welcome embrace from a loved one,

Feeling the heart full,

Raindrops on a windowpane,

Speaking your truth,

The sky at night,

The space between the stars,

The sound of om,

Being chanted all around you,

The sound of om,

Now remembering your loving intention,

As you silently repeat it again three times,

Invite every cell of your body to receive this loving intention,

And the space between the sound,

Receive and flow with loving intention,

Deep loving nourishment,

Soaking to the very marrow of your bones,

Becoming aware now of the weight of your physical body as it meets the earth,

Feeling of the shape and outline of your body held by earth,

Feeling of clothing and air as it meets the skin,

Feeling your whole body in the room that you're in,

As you take a deeper more audible breath now in through the nose,

Out through the mouth,

Awakening to the sound of your breath and the sounds of the room and the sounds that come from beyond the room,

This awakening of your body and awareness in the room that you're in,

With an invitation to gently slowly reawaken,

Maybe wiggling fingers,

Wiggling toes,

Let your body guide you in your reawakening,

You may feel you want to stretch or curl or twist and roll and turn,

Whatever is being asked for,

Let your body receive,

Slowly and when you're ready you might like to roll onto one side or find your way back to seated,

We will together close the practice from a seated position,

And in the seated position taking three breaths together,

So as you inhale reach the arms wide,

Connect palms and as you exhale hands through heart centre twice more,

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Breathing in and as you let your hands rest at heart centre,

Lower the head towards the heart,

Surrendering the stronghold of the mind to the wisdom of the heart and the body,

Let your loving intention carry you through the weekend.

Namaste.
