You are listening to the Motherhood Unstressed podcast and I'm your host Liz Carlisle.

Thank you so much for tuning into another guided meditation.

I'm so glad that you're here and that you are taking this time for yourself.

Now you can do this meditation lying flat on your back on a yoga mat or even in bed or you can do it like I do and sit cross-legged with your hands gently resting on your knees with your palms facing the ceiling.

The point as always is to be relaxed but alert.

Focus now on the gentle rhythmic breathing noticing the sensation of the air as it goes into your nose down your esophagus filling your lungs and then making its outward path through your nose.

So often in life we're rushing,

Pushing,

Always behind.

So when you take the time to focus on the simple act of breathing you give yourself a chance to catch up,

To make clear what is really important in life,

To understand that you are alive and you are worthy.

So keep breathing and with every breath feel the tension melt from your body.

With every breath imagine white golden light traveling to where it needs to go.

Maybe you hold tension in your jaw,

Release.

Maybe you hold tension in your shoulders,

Release.

Maybe you hold tension in your hips,

Release and so on.

Imagine the white golden light of your breath traveling into the mitochondria of your cells,

Detoxifying,

Cleansing,

Rejuvenating from within.

You have the power to do this and it only takes a few moments of attention and intention.

So keep breathing now.

Visualize the light,

Visualize the tension leaving your body breath by breath by breath.

Take your attention now to your heart and with everything that's been going on in our country and around the world if you're tuning in from somewhere outside of America,

I want you to focus on cracking open your heart if it's become hardened.

Visualize your light peeking out through the cracks and with every breath the cracks get bigger and bigger until the outside shell of your heart and heart breaks away into a pile of dust.

And when you breathe out,

You breathe out the dust,

The calcification of fear and anger.

And now all you have is your beautiful,

Vulnerable light of heart shining out from your chest to the rest of the world,

A well of love and caring,

Empathy and truth.

You are a source of light and now you're no longer encumbered by fear or negativity.

Notice how different you feel already.

Be grateful that you know how to do this,

That you want to do this.

Keep breathing,

Feel your heart beating,

Sending out love to your family,

To your friends,

To those you don't even know but who need your love.

Find it out further and further and further across the ocean.

With our remaining time together,

Bring your energy back,

Back over the ocean,

Closer to your body,

Hovering above your body now and coming back inside,

Back home.

You can wiggle your fingers and toes,

Flutter your eyes,

Do some shoulder rolls,

Some wrist rolls,

Some neck rolls,

Whatever you need in this moment,

Tap in and give yourself that gift of movement.

Let's take one more deep breath in together and let it all go.

Thank you again so much for joining me,

For coming back week after week and if this is your first time here,

Welcome.

I'm glad you're here and I'm grateful for your consciousness,

Your soul in the world.

Namaste.
