Hello,
Thank you for joining us today.
Find a place to just settle in,
Making yourself comfortable,
Bringing your awareness to your breath,
Just being with your breath,
With the inhalation in through the nose if that's comfortable,
And the exhalation out,
Really being right there,
Just allowing yourself to bring a curiosity of what is happening to your body as you're aware of your breath.
We're not looking to change anything,
Just starting to bring ourselves right back to our physical body,
To our being,
And as you notice your inhalation breathing in the new and the exhalation allowing a little bit of the releasing.
You may notice that your breathing is changing,
Is shifting a bit,
It may be slowing down.
Allow yourself as you're breathing to have your body settle in even more.
That may be your muscles relaxing,
Your shoulders drooping a bit.
Bring your awareness,
And as your shoulders relax,
You can even just imperceptibly roll them back a bit,
Opening up that heart area,
The sternum,
That heart chakra right there,
Just opening it up a bit,
And as you continue to breathe,
Bring your awareness to that trunk of your body.
Do you notice that the ribs are expanding,
That the belly is expanding?
Do you notice that maybe the exhalation is getting a little bit longer and deeper?
With your breathing,
Allow yourself to drop in even more,
Landing right there,
And become aware of your body being supported as you drop in,
Just being supported by the chair,
The sofa,
The floor,
Whatever it is that's holding you up,
And allow yourself to go beyond that support and just notice your connection,
Allowing the connection of your energy right into the earth,
Continuing with that inhalation in and the exhalation,
Bringing the awareness that your breath is helping your body,
And as you connect with the earth,
Your breath is connecting in with a deeper rhythm.
Envision that your energy is really being supported by the earth,
Allowing your energy to be connecting and going deeper into the earth,
Almost like roots,
Allowing an expansion,
Allowing a support system,
Knowing you are being held,
And also bringing the awareness of connecting the rhythm of your breath with the rhythm of the earth,
And as you bring in your inhalation,
Also expand your thoughts about bringing in the newness,
The fresh air,
The oxygen,
And for each exhalation,
Allow yourself to see that you can also release,
Release things that are weighing you down,
Release feelings that you don't like,
Allowing them to just flush out of you,
Right,
Right through the air and right through to Mother Earth,
But the earth is a great grounding.
It holds us,
It supports us,
It provides energy,
And it also receives anything that we want to release,
To slough off,
And the earth is really neutral,
It receives anything that we drop,
And like composting,
It sorts it,
It sifts it,
And it returns it to its original energy state,
It's very neutral,
There's no good,
Bad,
No judging,
Just a cycle of inhalation,
Exhalation,
And the earth recycling what needs to be.
So now I invite you,
As you continue with your breath,
To allow yourself the awareness of anchoring even more deeply,
And I invite you to bring forward something from within you that you are holding or carrying that you do not want to carry,
That is draining you,
That is leaving you tired,
And perhaps it might even be something that feels a bit foreign,
Gives you a bit of an unease,
And may not even be yours.
So as you're sitting here,
Being anchored and supported with the earth and with your breath,
Again,
Bringing something forward,
Anything that just doesn't feel right,
Imagine it out in front of you,
Almost like it's floating,
And just observe,
If you're feeling that you're connected with it,
Just gently,
Figuratively reach out and unconnect,
Disconnect those hooks,
And just observe.
That doesn't mean you won't feel,
It's okay to feel,
But don't connect with it,
Don't associate yourself with it,
Just look at it with a curiosity,
And then ask yourself,
Am I ready to release this?
And if you hear an,
Oh yeah,
Just allow it to go,
Whether you imagine it just dropping down through the air,
Or whether you imagine it leaving your body,
And just going right down into the earth,
Through the roots,
And being dissipated out like that.
And as you release,
I invite you to really bring in a larger inhale,
That new air,
That new breath,
That fresh,
Allowing an opening,
A replenishing,
An awakening,
A newness.
And continue with your breath,
And continue with the curiosity,
And the questions,
What else am I feeling?
Is there any unease?
Let me look at it.
And if you feel your light and everything's released,
Allow yourself to really bask and expand your extension of your energy body into the earth,
And that nurturing.
So as you release,
You're also recharging,
Like the roots that are drawing up that sustenance,
That nurturing.
Allow yourself to be right there.
And if that's where you are,
Also allow a smile to come across your face,
And just be bringing forward the gratitude,
The awareness of where you are at this exact moment.
And you can expand that and take a look at everything that's happened,
That has brought you right here at this very moment.
That which brings the smile,
That which brings the ease,
And that which also brings the unease.
It's all okay.
Give it the figurative nod,
Bring the awareness that this is just perfect,
And just continue with your breath.
And if there's anything else that is coming to you,
Perhaps an emotion that just appears,
Acknowledge it,
Give it a nod,
A figurative nod,
And scan and just figure out,
Hey,
What is this in my body?
And remember to continue your breath,
And just be curious,
Where am I feeling this in my body?
And when you locate it,
Or if you do,
Allow yourself to be a little more curious and figuratively move into that space,
And acknowledge the feeling,
Say,
Hey,
Why are you here?
What do you want me to know?
And it's okay if you hear answers in words,
It's okay if you don't.
For the mere act of being in your breath,
Being in your body,
Being with your energy,
That is already giving a permission for a shift and for a releasing.
And so I invite you to remember your breath,
Bring your awareness to that inhalation,
And to that exhalation.
And for the next inhalation,
I invite you to really make it larger and bigger,
And really have the awareness of the newness that you are bringing in.
And for that exhalation,
Each one,
Give yourself permission to really release that which no longer serves you,
And also to release that which has never been yours to carry,
But maybe somebody else's.
Or with that releasing,
You're also giving that other person or energy their own opportunity to carry what is theirs.
Next I invite you to start thinking about all the ways that you've been deeply connected into the earth,
And start drawing those aspects of yourself back up,
Closer in towards you,
Pulling your energy,
Your energetic roots right back in and up into yourself.
And I also invite you to give that energetic nod of appreciation and gratitude,
Thank you.
Thank you for the support to the earth.
And I invite you to bring that awareness back up into your legs,
Your seats,
Your trunk,
Bringing that awareness into your body,
Just scanning all the way up,
Up even to your neck,
Your head,
And allow that inhalation to be that newness and fresh,
And that exhalation to be really a little bit joyous.
And realizing that you give yourself permission to,
In the next couple of cycles of breath,
To come back and step right back into your world a little bit lighter,
A little bit freer.
So when you're ready,
Allow a little bit of movement,
And a smile,
And gratitude.
