Welcome,
Mamas,
To this replenishing and restful practice that will help you feel rejuvenated for the rest of your day.
Find a space in your home that lets you feel relaxed and at ease.
Spend a few moments,
If needed,
To know that you and your children are safe,
So you can fully let go in the practice.
If you need to pause for a moment to create this feeling,
Feel free to do so now.
You can do this practice seated or laying down.
Feel free to add support under your head,
Your knees,
Or to even lift your legs to allow the spine to find its neutral position.
Here in this moment,
Find your breath.
Notice your breath effortlessly fill your chest.
This breath that gives you life and helps you release the residue from moments before.
As mothers,
We often feel like there's no time for rest.
We feel like there's always so much to do,
So many needs to be met.
But the truth is,
By taking time to rest,
We replenish the love,
Energy,
And patience needed as mothers.
Take a moment now to repeat this affirmation.
When I rest and nurture myself,
I have more to give.
When I rest and nurture myself,
I have more to give.
Moving into the body,
Notice the support under your body.
Notice how it holds you.
Notice how you can completely surrender to its strength.
Notice how it connects you to the space and to this moment.
Feel the weight of your head,
Your shoulders,
Your hands,
Your hips,
And your feet sink into the support.
Allow any and all tension in your body to release,
Melting,
Sinking,
Letting go.
If you could make yourself 5% more comfortable,
Take time now to find that 5% more.
Notice the sounds around you.
Notice the temperature of the air.
Can you feel the air move?
Notice if you're reaching to find these and try to resist the urge to search.
Just let them come.
Notice any smells,
Any taste left on your tongue.
Allow your eyebrows,
Your cheeks,
Your chin to soften.
Allow your eyes to sink into their cradles.
Allow your tongue to peel away from the roof of your mouth.
Allow your mouth to feel relaxed.
Let your jaw feel soft.
Allow your neck to soften,
Your throat to soften,
Your collarbones to soften.
Allow this softening sensation to seep into your right shoulder,
Into your right upper arm,
Your right elbow,
And into your forearm.
Allow your right wrist,
Hand,
And fingers to feel soft.
Notice the soft sensation throughout your right arm.
Allow the softening sensation to seep into your left shoulder,
Your upper arm,
Your left elbow,
And into your forearm.
Let your left wrist,
Hand,
And fingers to feel soft.
Notice the soft sensation throughout your left arm.
Allow the softening sensation to seep into your chest.
Let your chest be softened.
Into your belly.
Let your belly soften.
Into your hips.
Let your hips soften.
Allow the softening sensation to seep into your left upper leg,
Your left knee,
And into your shin.
Into your left foot,
And into each toe.
Notice the soft sensation throughout your left leg.
Allow the softening sensation to seep into your right upper leg,
Your right knee,
And into your shin.
Into your right foot,
And into each toe.
Notice the softening sensation throughout your right leg.
Take a few moments to feel the softening sensation throughout your whole body.
Let your whole body feel relaxed.
Notice how your whole body feels soft,
Rested,
And at ease.
Notice how rest and relaxation allows you to feel rejuvenated.
Let your body feel relaxed.
When I rest and nurture myself,
I have more to give.
When I rest and nurture myself,
I have more to give.
When I rest and nurture myself,
I have more to give.
When I rest and nurture myself,
I have more to give.
When I rest and nurture myself,
I have more to give.
When I rest and nurture myself,
I have more to give.
When I rest and nurture myself,
I have more to give.
When I rest and nurture myself,
I have more to give.
When I rest and nurture myself,
I have more to give.
Be aware of your breath.
Feel its natural rhythm and depth.
Now allow for a deeper breath in and an easeful exhale and another.
Letting the breath be natural,
Easy,
And full.
In your own time,
Start to wiggle your fingers,
Your toes.
Let an awakening come to your limbs.
Feel free to move in a way that feels good to you and allow yourself to keep that sensation we just brought into your body,
Soft,
Relaxed,
Replenished.
Allow your eyes to blink open and re-equate yourself with your space.
Wishing you the best of the rest of your day,
Mama.
Thank you.
