Welcome.
This is a meditation on the value of kindness,
The value of kindness.
So I'd like you to begin by letting your body settle,
By arranging your body in a way that feels comfortable for you.
Because you're taking this time,
You are taking this time out to align with yourself,
Align with your heart.
This is dedicated time to tend to kindness.
So take a nice,
Generous breath.
And as you let it go,
Just see where your body might be ready to release,
Relax,
And let go.
Very often we hold tension,
And we're not even aware of it.
And this is a chance for you to breathe,
To relax,
And to cultivate kindness,
To cultivate kindness.
Perhaps you can allow your eyeballs to settle into their sockets,
Allowing the eyeballs to rest into their sockets.
And the lids can close and become even heavier.
And as the eyes soften,
So too can the rest of the body soften and let go.
And as you let go,
Softening and pausing are acts of kindness.
Doing this practice is an act of kindness and offering to yourself.
Because when we are loving and kind with ourselves,
So too do we practice kindness,
Appreciation,
And acknowledgement with the people in our life.
So I'd like you to imagine someone in your life,
Someone in your life who challenges you,
Who tests you,
Who'd be a partner,
A co-worker,
A child,
A pet.
It doesn't really matter.
And once you can see or sense that being in your mind's eye,
I'd like you to take a breath and place your hand on your heart,
Taking a moment to land in your heart,
In the loving,
Generous,
Kind space of your heart.
Every beat of your heart is an invitation to kindness.
And in this moment where you're connected to the innate kindness of your own good heart,
I invite you to see that person,
That being in your mind.
And imagine making an offer,
Offering something to them,
Something kind,
A word of appreciation,
A warm smile of acknowledgement.
Maybe a pat on the back or a squeeze of the shoulder to let them know that you appreciate them.
And let this offering be infused with the deep,
Warm kindness of your own heart.
So right now,
Taking a breath into your heart and send this kindness,
This kind gesture to them,
Sending this kindness out to them,
Just like that.
Breathing and noticing in your own body how it feels to offer kindness.
Kindness is a two-way street.
When we're kind to others,
We're also being kind to ourselves.
We're putting out loving vibrations into the world,
And we're drinking in these loving vibrations.
So just feel this.
Loving presence of kindness and how good it can feel to be kind,
Letting this register in your body and your being.
Because it can feel so good,
So good to be kind,
To value this kindness,
Starting with ourselves.
So you can do this practice with yourself,
Put your hand on your heart and send the energy of kindness,
Of loving kindness to yourself.
And feel what it feels like in your body,
In your awareness.
And from here,
It's simple to let this overflow,
Overflow to the people in your world,
Generously.
Because you are valuing kindness more and more,
Recognizing the value of kindness.
And you might even find that nine times out of ten,
You're moving from kindness,
Kindness rather than something else,
Kindness rather than the old habit patterns.
And if you're already a deeply kind being,
Doing this practice will only make you more so.
You can trust in the innate goodness of your own heart,
Taking a deep breath,
Letting in everything that's been said and heard,
Feeling relaxed,
Refreshed,
At ease.
So that in just a little bit,
When you open your eyes and enter into your world,
You are doing so,
Full of kindness,
Feeling full of kindness.
Thank you so much for your attention.
Thank you so much.
