Let's begin by taking a moment to get comfortable wherever you're sitting or laying down right now and gently close your eyes.
Start to focus on your breath,
Feeling the air coming in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Noticing the sensation of the air coming in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Though it might be challenging right now,
Can you try to stay and focus on each breath.
Can you turn your attention now to your shoulders and notice how much tension you are holding here.
Let your shoulders drop.
Listen and focus on the sound of this tone,
Noticing any distracting thoughts coming into your mind and bringing your attention back to the tone.
Gently bring to mind the person,
Pet,
Or situation that is bringing up the feeling of grief inside you.
And as you start to feel into it,
Where do you feel the feeling of grief in your body?
In your heart,
Or your stomach,
Or your throat?
Can you breathe into the feeling of grief right now and allow yourself to try to be open to this feeling or experience of grief?
Pain,
The sadness,
The judgment,
The anger,
The helplessness.
However grief is showing up for you right now in this moment,
Can you try to allow yourself to be here and feel it?
There's nothing that you have to do or change right now,
Just to be with it and breathe,
Allowing whatever feelings are here to gently come forward.
And is it possible to see in this moment that your grief is truly a portal into your ability and capacity to love?
Breathe and feel into your heart right now and whatever you are experiencing,
I embrace the sadness and allow these waves of grief to move through me.

This is an opportunity to surrender more deeply to my heart and to love.
Breathe that in.
Know that you can take however long you need to grieve this loss.
Remember there is no set way to grieve and you can let your process unfold however it needs to.
