Welcome to this heart energy meditation.
It is safe to be in your body.
Sometimes we can feel unsafe just being in our bodies.
If we feel a jolt of fear,
Panic or physical pain,
Dissociation from events going on or memories stirring inside of ourselves.
I found that returning to heart energy within can be a really helpful way to just reground,
Refocus and re-center yourself.
It can feel like the last thing that maybe you want to do,
But it really is a self-soothing practice.
I feel like we all naturally know how to do and I feel like we used to do it a lot more naturally when we were younger and then just kind of got lost or discouraged along the way.
It can also help with reducing pain or physical symptoms that you might be experiencing,
Emotional pain,
All those connections.
Just allowing the body to return to a natural,
Relaxed,
Healing and peaceful state,
Which is the best place you can be or keep returning to whatever it is you're going through.
So allowing yourself to feel all the symptoms or emotions,
Whatever it is that's coming up or going on in your world,
But then knowing that also you can return to your heart,
You can rebalance and feel safe.
That will help you and help others around you and just help everything.
It's a really great practice to keep returning to,
Even if you need to remind yourself to do it.
Something that's helped me a lot and continues to help me a lot.
I personally want to keep integrating it even more.
So this session will simply be a feeling into your body,
Which can feel scary at times because we suppress and numb so much.
And then we will be allowing our heart energy to expand,
Going into a state of heart coherence and allowing our heart energy to just gently unfold.
So just taking a few deep breaths,
Breathing into the belly each time,
Breathing in through your nose.
And out through your mouth.
Breathing in through your nose.
And out through your mouth.
Breathing in through your nose.
And out through your mouth.
Keeping the shoulders relaxed as you breathe as much as you can.
No judgement,
Just noticing.
And now just continue to breathe naturally and gently in your nose.
And you can breathe out of your mouth if that feels like you need to release something with a particular breath or just in and out of your nose.
But always breathing into the belly.
Relaxing your jaw.
Softening your body.
Softening your shoulders and around the top of your neck.
Feel your spine beginning to relax.
And feel the very centre of your back softening.
Even just a little.
And you might feel some waves of emotion as you do this.
Just welcome it,
That's okay.
You don't need to give this emotion a story or a name or a history of why.
You don't need to understand.
You can just allow it.
And feel your face begin to relax,
Your hips begin to relax,
Just breathing.
Your hands beginning to relax.
Your belly softening and relaxing,
Taking in all of that breath.
Like the whole trunk of your body is breathing.
And now allow your feet and your ankles to relax.
And any emotions that you begin to feel now,
That pop up,
Just allow them.
Just notice them.
Don't worry,
It's okay.
It's safe for you to have these emotions.
It's safe for you to feel them.
And I will keep reminding you.
When we begin to relax,
Sometimes it's like a big release of resistance,
Like a wall you've had up.
If you can imagine the emotion,
Like water,
It can finally move and flow like it's designed to.
But it can bring up a lot of feelings,
Even physical sensations too.
So that's what we will do here,
Is just begin to soften and allow feelings to flow within our body,
Flow through our body.
Knowing that we are safe to do this.
It's safe for us to feel.
Breathing into any pain or discomfort that you have in your body.
And it becomes a skill where you can feel these sensations and soften and relax and breathe at the same time.
But rather than this being difficult,
It's remembering,
Oh,
This is quite a natural state for my body to be in,
And it will become more comfortable.
Breathing into the belly and releasing out.
And you know your body better than anyone else.
You've been through your whole life with your body.
And just trusting that your body isn't going to overwhelm you.
It will only begin now to release the perfect amount of this energy and these emotions for you today.
Whatever you feel is okay.
It's important that we allow ourselves to feel.
We release any tears or emotions that we need to.
Holding a space for ourselves.
Maybe like no one else has ever done for us.
Maybe like you have never done for yourself before.
Your body wants to protect you.
It's not fighting you.
It wants to help you.
So in recognizing this,
We can begin healing our relationship with self.
Again,
Just noticing any pain or stiffness or discomfort that you feel in your body today.
Without attaching any stories and practicing non-judgment.
Just allowing and breathing.
Softening.
Beginning to feel more safe with yourself.
Beginning to feel more safe with all of the sensations of your body.
Noticing what happens when you begin to soften.
Just noticing.
Can you feel an energy begin to move?
Maybe it's fast or slow.
Warm or cool.
Tingly.
Maybe there are colors.
However this energy feels for you today is unique to you.
And you can't do it wrong.
You're doing great.
And just be here for a moment.
Knowing I'm here too.
And it's safe for us to just allow all of these powerful energies that make up you to move and flow like they want to.
Reducing resistance.
Just feeling and allowing.
Resistance can delay our healing and our growth and expansion.
It can cause discomfort,
Pain,
Confusion.
So instead we will just practice allowing.
Allowing our whole body to feel and flow.
However new or intimidating this feels,
Just remembering it's totally natural for us to do this.
Communication with our own body,
Our own being.
So just practice feeling safe to relax and see what happens.
Just be here for a moment now.
Just be here for a moment now.
And now gently shift your focus to your heart center,
Your heart area,
The center of your chest.
And begin to feel an energy here.
It might only be a tiny,
Tiny glimmer.
But there will be a spark here.
Maybe if you're very numb at the moment you won't be able to feel it,
But I know it's there.
And we're going to allow this energy to grow and expand now.
And you can help this energy to grow by thinking of someone or something which you feel great love for.
It can be maybe a pet or a memory.
A memory of a beautiful moment when you felt so safe and so loved,
Maybe you were out in nature.
A moment where you felt this pure heart wonder.
And allow this warm feeling to grow.
It's safe for this energy to expand out from your heart.
Like it's spiraling out with each breath,
Seeping through your whole body.
Maybe it's a light that expands.
Maybe it has a texture.
With every breath you can feel this energy in your heart.
Feeling safe to allow this heart energy and essence to expand.
It's not forced,
It's very natural,
Like an organic return to your true power.
And how beneath all of the layers of self,
Who we think we are,
Who we appear to be,
This energy is the real you.
The heart of you.
Your truth.
Place a hand on your heart if you like,
Or even give yourself a hug.
Place your hands anywhere in your body that feels natural.
Trust yourself.
You can say silently or out loud,
I trust myself.
I trust my heart.
It's safe for me to feel.
It's safe for me to heal.
It's safe for me to connect with my heart.
I listen to my heart.
I allow my heart energy to expand.
I allow my heart energy to flow.
And just stay with this heart energy growing and flowing with your breath.
Not obstructing it or instructing it,
Letting it do whatever it wants to.
Knowing you have nowhere to go,
Nowhere to be,
Nothing to do,
No one to please.
You can say silently or out loud,
I trust myself.
You can say silently or out loud,
I trust myself.
You can say silently or out loud,
I trust myself.
You can say silently or out loud,
I trust myself.
And when you feel ready,
You can take a deep breath in through your nose.
And release out from your mouth.
And bring your awareness back to the here and now.
And you can return to this meditation or do this practice on your own whenever you need to.
And I will keep building on the techniques like this in the future.
Thank you.
