Welcome to this guided meditation.

This meditation is here to aid you to bring you back to a place of stillness and connection to yourself.

I invite you to settle into a comfortable position so you can totally relax and give yourself the space to be undisturbed.

Now close your eyes gently,

Place your hand on your heart and focus just on your breath.

Breathing in and breathing out,

Allowing your breath to create space in your mind,

Body and spirit as you breathe in and out.

By doing this you are starting the journey inward,

Stilling your mind and calling yourself back home.

Observe any sensations,

Thoughts or feelings that may arise,

But don't judge them.

If the mind begins to wander,

That's okay.

Just draw your attention back to your breath and the beating of your heart.

Breathe in and out.

Energy follows intention.

So now as you breathe in,

You call to you calm,

Centeredness and peace.

On your out breath you release tension and heaviness wherever it presents itself.

Breathing in,

Calling in peace,

Centeredness and stillness.

Breathing out,

You release any heaviness,

Tension and overstimuli.

Now let's bring your awareness to your senses,

Really using your imagination,

Starting with the sense of sight.

Imagine yourself standing in a beautiful,

Serene landscape,

A place in nature that you love.

Take in the vibrance of this place,

The colors,

The depth.

Allow your eyes to relax and take in the beauty that surrounds you.

As you breathe in and out,

Take time to absorb this beauty.

Next,

Bring your attention to your sense of hearing.

Open your deeper hearing.

Can you hear nature's songs?

A gentle stream nearby.

The sounds of birds or the wind moving through the trees.

Let these sounds calm your mind and take in the sound of nature's music.

Breathing in and out.

Now bring your attention to your sense of touch.

Imagine yourself running your hands through a bed of soft grass or feel the warmth of the sun on your skin.

Allow yourself to feel this sensation of warmth and softness and allow your whole being to relax even deeper.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing this in and out,

Feel the tension ease and the stillness within you increase.

Bring your attention to your sense of smell.

Imagine yourself standing in a field of flowers or near a pine forest.

Connect to that smell that you love.

Take in the fragrance of nature and let this bring a sense of peace to your mind.

Breathing in and out.

Creating that space within you for yourself.

Now bring your awareness to your sense of taste and imagine drinking a cool glass of water on a hot summer's day.

Feel how refreshing the water is and how it re-energizes you.

Now once again bring your hand to your heart and feel your magnificent heartbeat and connect to your inner knowing,

That deep wisdom that houses within you.

Bring your focus to your breath once more.

Gently notice the space that you have created in your body and that you can continue to create merely by taking time out for yourself,

Aligning yourself with your life force and calling yourself back home.

As you come to the end of this meditation,

Take one more deep cleansing breath in and exhale it slowly.

Give yourself a squeeze,

Connecting you to your physical body and offer gratitude for all that is well right now.

Then gently open your eyes and take a moment to let your senses adjust and get back into the here and the now and it is done.

Wonderful reset after overstimulation. Love the gentle birdsong in the background. Thank you!
