Let's start by finding a comfortable position,
Either cross-legged on a cushion or sitting in a chair with feet flat on the floor,
Allowing room for the diaphragm and belly to expand and contract with each breath.
If preferred,
You might also practice lying down.
Take a moment to set an intention for today's practice.
Today's meditation will focus on a slow and measured breath,
Breathing gently and slowly.
As you inhale,
Notice the cool air of the nostrils.
As you exhale,
Notice a gentle warmth or perhaps nothing at all.
As the breath is consciously slowed,
There may be an impulse to inhale more quickly.
Notice this sensation.
Continue with a slow and gentle breath.
As your breath slows and becomes calmer,
Notice the mind and body also becoming calmer.
If distracting thoughts arise,
Simply bring focus back to the breath.
Breathe in love and exhale love,
Releasing any tensions or contractions.
The difference between love and fear is trust.
Trust the process if any difficult emotions arise.
Trust allows one to be in the present moment if worries about the future or regrets of the past arise.
Trust erases the need for identity.
Just being you,
Exactly as you are,
Is value.
Trust is relationship.
Trust enables connection.
Trust erases fear.
Trust eliminates worry.
