Transcript

This is Sylvia and this is a yoga nidra practice dedicated to the energy centers of the body.

In the yogic tradition,

The human energy system is vast and beautifully intricate.

The chakra system is a merging of the nadis,

The channels through which prana,

The vital energy,

Flows.

For the purpose of this yoga nidra practice,

We will focus on the seven primary chakras commonly known in the West,

Each representing a dimension of our being,

Facilitating movement and balance and harmony between them.

Through the power of the breath,

Prana and awareness of the centers,

This practice is an invitation to deepen and harmonize our connection to the subtle aspects of ourselves.

Let's begin.

You can lay down in shavasana,

Feet apart,

Allowing your neck to be long and supported.

You might want to place a pillow under the neck and under your knees,

Allowing your body to lay down comfortably and sink on the floor,

Adjusting your shoulders to settle your hips,

Making your body comfortable and cozy.

Prepare it to rest under a warm blanket.

Find your place of comfort and restoration for the next hour or so.

Dedicating this time to practice awareness of sensing and feeling,

Focusing on the sound of my voice,

Just allowing the floor to hold your body now as you start sensing the dark behind closed eyes,

Living the world of doing and organizing and acting and planning outside of this exploration,

Trusting that you can go back to the demands of the world with renewed intention and inspiration after the practice.

There's nothing for you here to do,

No place to go,

No roles to embody,

Just receiving the vibrations of sound.

Start to notice your natural breath,

Allow it to flow as it is without extra effort.

Breath coming in and going out.

Breath coming in and going out.

Every inhalation,

The breath becoming energized and enlivened by your attention,

Spreading the energy to the whole body.

And with each exhalation,

The breath releasing physical and mental resistances,

Enjoying each inhalation and each exhalation as a way to bringing you into the present moment.

The prana,

The breath,

Our entrance into the present moment.

Sensing the breath entering the lower belly,

Feeling up the lower part of the belly,

And the breath going out,

Releasing,

Emptying out the belly.

Exhaling out any residuals of tension.

Sensing the breath in your chest area,

Expanding the rib cage.

Exhaling out,

Dropping out the air,

Chest dropping down.

Sensing the air in the throat area,

Giving space to the throat cavity.

Exhaling out,

Leaving the neck empty,

Resting on the surface,

Inviting the air inside of your skull.

Washing with prana the container of the mind and exhaling out any residuals of tensions in the mind.

The muscle of the mind resting on the skull or the surface that you're in.

Allowing the temples to drop on the side,

Just giving the mind a break to rest and reset.

Sensing the senses starting to open as you're gifting your body a time of slowing down naturally with the ocean of air,

Releasing all effort from the body and the mind,

And your central nervous system beginning to settle down.

The body resting in stillness while the presence of the subtle body begins to arise.

And in this space,

You can allow your sankalpa for this practice to arise.

A truthful heart desire that you tend to consistently with care and attention.

And if you have a sankalpa that you're working on,

You can call it now.

Or you can gravitate around these words.

Life flows through me and I bask in its essence and glory.

Or I'm resting deeply in my divinity.

Or I shine in the glory of my energy.

Mentally repeating it three times now.

Trust in your gift of patience to allow the momentum of its manifestation.

And now we move into the rotation of consciousness throughout the body.

And while the body rests in stillness,

You can bring your awareness to the body part as you hear it mentioned.

Blending your awareness at the tip of the tongue,

Inside of your mouth,

The soft palate,

Your teeth and gums,

Upper lip,

Lower lip,

Tip of your nose,

The bridge of your nose,

Your eyes,

Your eyebrows,

Your ears,

Your jaw,

Hinges of the jaw,

Your throat,

Your clavicles,

Both shoulders,

Upper arms,

Your elbows,

Right and left,

Your wrists,

Palm of your hand,

Your thumbs,

Second fingers,

Third,

Little finger,

Both arms and hands together,

Both shoulders,

Your chest,

Your solar plexus,

Your pubic bone,

Your hips,

Your knees,

Your ankles,

Heels,

Toes,

Sole of both feet,

Big toes,

Second,

Third fingers,

Four,

And little fingers,

Top of the foot,

Shin,

Calf,

Your thighs,

Your cheeks,

Your sacrum,

Lumbar spine,

Middle of the spine,

Your upper back,

Your neck,

Center of the brain,

Top of the head,

Your whole body now,

Your whole body now,

Your whole body as a unified energetic field,

A feeling and sensations resting on the ground,

And you can land your awareness to the root chakra at the base of the spine,

And imagine you could breathe here,

Sending energy to the muladhara chakra,

Imagine the root of your entire chakra system getting energized by your breath,

Feeding this energetic center of stability,

Trust,

Grounding you in a sense of safety with each inhale and exhale.

Here you can foster the connection with the ever-present earth,

Below your body,

Just by inhaling and exhaling,

Feel the earth beneath your body,

Solid,

Stable,

The tangible foundation of the solid ground,

And welcoming its slow vibration of density,

Solidity,

Certainty,

Into this center through the presence of your breath,

Activating and resonating here at your core.

And you can breathe into this center,

The smell of the earth,

Exhaling out the gratitude for your senses,

Your connection to abundance,

Vitality at the base of your spine,

Where you feel balanced,

Happy in the present moment.

And now you can move your attention up the spine into the sacral area,

And around the bone of the sacrum,

The lower part of your abdomen,

And land your attention around the low belly area,

Inviting prana,

The breath,

To expand this area on the inhale,

Exhaling out,

Resting here.

Healing,

Vibrant energy,

Illuminating Svadhisthana Chakra,

Exhaling out,

Resting here.

This is the center of senses and pleasure,

Emotions,

As energy in motion.

Breathing in creativity,

Spontaneity,

Breathing out change and fluidity.

And here,

Like water,

You can allow your breath to wave in feelings,

Exhaling out constant shifting and flowing,

Allowing creativity and curiosity for the newness of life,

The constant ebbs and flows of fulfillment.

And breathe coming in,

Nourishing the waves of healthy emotions,

Breathing out trust in the abdomen,

Breathing out,

Breathing out trust and the abandonment of life and its constant pleasure.

Breathing in the possibility of love and support in your relationships,

Breathing out joy and fun in relating to yourself and others,

Joy and freedom,

Reclaiming your right to sense and feel pleasure,

Enlivening your life from within,

The taste of life the way you want to experience it.

Welcoming rest here,

The beauty of your relationships with life,

Your emotions,

A wellspring of joy for life and the constant evolving of its flow.

Now,

Allow your awareness to rise up the spine and you can land your attention in the area between the belly button and your diaphragm,

The area of your solar plexus,

Allowing your awareness to embrace Manipura chakra,

The pure city.

Breathe in and out through this powerhouse,

Breathe in light,

Breathe out energy,

Breathe in war,

Breathe out balance.

And here you can connect to your sense of power and strength,

Connecting to a sense of self-esteem,

Radiant willpower.

And here your ability to take illuminated actions that create empowered transformations.

Breathe in power to your sacred fire,

Breathe out momentum of clarity and focus.

Allow with your next inhalation to breathe in the power of the sun,

Sense its rays of glory,

Illuminating your beauty under its power,

The fire of life,

Growing with passion and purpose.

Breathe in this area,

Arising your zest for life,

Your golden sense of enthusiasm,

Birthing out your mission,

Golden rays of truth radiating out unencumbered and unleashed.

Rest here in this certainty,

In this power,

In this war.

Allow yourself to feel your ability to walk your path,

Coming up the spine into the sacred altar of your heart,

The central anahata,

The chakra that unify the body and the mind.

And breathe into your lungs and into the powerhouse of your heart.

Exhale any residuals of doubts to your own divinity.

Inhale the stability of compassion for yourself and any living beings.

And exhale your capacity to extend that sense of freedom and vulnerability to all living forms around you and beyond.

Inhale this living life force down from your chest,

To your arms.

Exhaling liquid love cascading into your hands and palms.

Inhaling into your palms,

Pulsating prana and peace into your buddha hands.

And exhaling out into everything around without judgment,

Without thinking,

Without fear.

Just pure possibilities of kindness from your being out.

And inhaling back up to your arms,

Breathing into this light,

Exhaling back into your heart,

Your compassionate heart,

Your powerhouse of kindness.

Allowing your heart chakra to breathe back in the love that you hold within.

Allowing yourself to be bathed by the gratitude and the possibility of acceptance to yourself.

Sensing the potentials of this experience.

Full acceptance of yourself for yourself,

Just as you are right here in this moment.

And if different feelings are arising,

Just allow yourself to breathe into them with honesty and vulnerability.

Allowing the intelligence of your heart chakra to freely express itself just as it is.

Trusting the resilience of its purity.

Resting in the sensations and feelings arising from loving your life.

Accepting your heart chakra as your personal healer.

Accepting the sovereignty of your internal land.

Allow your awareness to move in the space of your throat.

Sensing the area of your neck,

Your vocal cords,

Your jaw,

And start breathing into the whole channel of communication.

Exhale,

Feel the air leaving this space.

Breathe in,

Allowing you to soothe the vocal cords.

Exhaling out your voice,

Expressing clearly out the shooter chakra,

The chakra of expressing your truth,

Your ability to listen,

The power of impeccable communication.

Breathe in inspiring informations.

Breathe out compassion for others,

Express in and out.

As you breathe in,

You can imagine your full capacity to listen deeply.

Understanding,

Honoring other people's beliefs and idea,

As well as your own.

Breathe in and breathe out the power of your expression,

Illuminating the world around you.

With each breath,

Sense your ability to express your creativity with clarity and without judgment.

Breathe in creativity.

Breathe out expressing your dreams from the voice of the heart.

You can rest here in the light of your true feelings.

Trusting in this chakra to reveal honest compassion for your needs to be heard.

Soothe yourself in the light of this chakra presence.

Breathing in this space.

Sending energy to your throat area.

Absorb the feeling of joy that spread from this center.

Spreading from giving and receiving.

And now you can allow the grace of your attention to move to anya chakra,

The third eye.

Sensing the breath.

Inspiring your intuition here.

Your capacity to see beyond duality.

Receiving the gift of breath here.

And exhaling,

Giving out the blessing of breath.

To solve and in the perception of space and time.

Inhale the unleashed power of imagination.

Welcoming universal inspiration and guidance.

Exhaling your perception of heightened sensitivity.

And feel beyond the confines of the mind.

Inhaling the clear perception of the inside.

Exhaling the perception of the outside.

Inhaling the gratitude for your ability to see the bliss of this world.

Sensing how precious your eyes and visions are for your life.

And exhaling wisdom,

Radiating clear illumination to your dreams.

Opening out the energy of your brilliant mind.

And you can rest in this space of peace and understanding.

Where you perceive reality as it is.

Deeply resting as the unifying reasons of all separations of the good,

The bad,

And all the preconceived ideas and beliefs.

Allow yourself the gift of empathy.

Just embracing yourself.

Marrying the mind and the body.

Reasoning and intuition.

The conscious and the subconscious are merging realities through you.

And now you can allow yourself to land at the crown of your head.

Gently arriving with your awareness at the crown of your head.

Sensing yourself merging completely inside yourself.

Listen to the most pristine connection with your spirit.

Sahasrara chakra,

The crown chakra.

Breathe in tranquility and bliss.

Breathe out patience and compassion.

Breathe in reverence and devotions from the intelligence of the universe.

Breathe out witness consciousness into the vastness of the infinite space.

Breathe out awareness,

Rest into the eternal and infinite sea of undifferentiated consciousness.

Simply unfolding into being.

And in this deep stream of changing intelligent mass,

You can trust and immerse yourself in your sankalpa,

Your heart intention.

Allow it to arise from this deep stream of ever-changing intelligent life.

Let it speak for itself.

And you can mentally repeating your sankalpa,

Your heart's vow,

Three times now.

Merge into the gravitational pull of its essence.

Pure,

Vast awareness.

Resting as your true nature.

Eternal awareness,

Knowing itself through you.

Sensing your connection to all that is.

Star-sensing the spine,

Touching the ground,

Your sacrum bone,

Back of your neck,

Back of your skull.

Sense the curves of the spine,

Lower back,

Behind your neck,

And behind your knees.

Taper your toes.

And if it feels aligned with you,

You can stretch your toes.

You can touch the surfaces of your fingers.

Roll your neck from side to side.

And you can invite any movement the body wants to express in this moment to allow your body to gently waken up by itself.

Or you can rest in the simmering of this exploration.

Allowing the effects of this practice to inform the next momentum of your life.

You can also start sensing the sounds in the room where you're in.

The temperature of the room.

You might want to stretch and open your jaw.

And just star-sensing the world,

The forms around you.

Just allow yourself to wake up with the delicacy that you use to wake up a sleeping baby.

Without forcing.

Just naturally follow the unfolding of your movements.

You can rest in this position for as long as you want.

And again,

My name is Sylvia,

And it was a pleasure guiding you in this chakra exploration.

From the depth of my heart,

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank yourself.

Namaste.
