A warm welcome to you.
My name is Fleur Chambers and as always it's my pleasure to be here with you.
This is a gentle meditation that will allow you to access the sacredness of the present moment.
There's no guidance or bell at the end so you can also use it at night.
Enjoy.
And in your own time allowing yourself to get comfortable.
Closing down your eyes if you like.
And offering yourself the gift of three deep and intentional breaths.
And now exploring your breath as a four-part cycle beginning with the in-breath,
The pause at the top of the in-breath,
The out-breath and the pause at the bottom of the out-breath.
As you breathe in this way allowing yourself to be held in the energy of curiosity.
As best you can resting in the fullness at the end of the inhale.
Allowing this moment to feel satisfying.
As you're filled with life with fresh oxygen.
Can you rest also in the emptiness after the exhale?
Can you access a sense of stillness after the exhale?
Can you relax into the sense of fullness?
Can you soften into the sense of emptiness?
And if your mind becomes distracted we come back time and time again to this four-part breath cycle.
Breathing in I know that I am breathing in.
Breathing out I know that I am breathing out.
And acknowledging how our breath is a metaphor for life.
Always changing,
Filled with beginnings and endings.
Peppered by the moments of fullness and emptiness in between.
As you connect more intimately with your breath you're also connecting more deeply with life in its true essence.
Always changing.
Here in this moment can you soften into this idea of impermanence?
Can you loosen your grip?
Can you surrender just a little more into the unknown?
Using the present moment to hold you.
Always returning to your breath.
And as you inhale counting to four.
And as you exhale counting to six.
Doing this in your own time and in your own way.
Inhaling for four.
Inhaling for six.
With the aid of your out breath a real letting go.
We begin by letting go of physical tension.
We let go of the ideas we have about ourselves.
The ideas about how life should be.
Here in this safe place we're safe to let go of mistakes,
Regrets,
Disappointments from your past.
What if just for this moment you could let go of the worries,
Fears and sensitivities you hold for your future.
With each breath a letting go of mind,
Body and heart.
As you allow the sacred present moment to hold you.
As you realise in this moment that you are enough.
At your core you are enough.
A gentle smile landing across your lips.
A warming of your inner world.
A quiet sense of peace or relief settling over you like dappled light at dusk.
Can you allow this radical act of enoughness to feel joyful?
Bouncing into your heart beating within your chest.
Your heart's electromagnetic field holding you and radiating outwards into your meditation space.
Perhaps it has a colour,
A pulse,
A texture.
Inviting creativity and imagination into your meditation practice here.
Really sensing into how you are held by the energy of your heart.
Radiates out.
This heart that can be both fragile and strong.
This heart that can hold sadness and unbridled love.
This heart of yours that is wise,
Intelligent.
And can you ask your heart what would you have me know?
And as you receive the wisdom from your heart,
Can you allow this to be a moment of vitality?
A moment when you realise that you are alive.
Can you feel your heart beating all the way into the tips of your fingers and toes?
A gentle sense of vitality.
Life pulsating through you.
Be relaxed,
Heart open,
Alive to the beauty of this moment.
When we rest in meditation,
When we sit back in the present moment,
We expand.
We're able to see things in new ways.
To let go of burdens,
Of limiting beliefs.
And so in this moment,
Just noticing what's resting at the edges of your awareness.
Is there an idea,
A feeling,
A possibility that you can grab with both hands?
Existing in your ability to access this wisdom that sits at the outskirts of your awareness.
As you ask yourself,
What am I no longer willing to carry?
Who would I be if I wasn't afraid?
If I allowed love to hold me,
What actions would I take?
Resting in this expanded state,
In this state of possibilities for as long as you like.
