
Be The Chief: Be Calm And Kind To Yourself
For me, healing is a form of initiation. It is the un-conditioning and re-uniting ourselves with who we really are. This guided inner journey is a great way to start and refresh that process and can help you steady your mind, forgive yourself and be the 'chief' of your tribe!
Transcript
Before we begin,
It's important that you are sat or laying somewhere safe and comfortable.
Somewhere you won't be disturbed for the next 10 to 15 minutes.
Now I'm assuming that this is so,
So let's begin.
Make yourself as comfortable as you can.
And take a little time just to make any minor adjustments that you need to make.
And I'd like you just to think about some of the self-criticism,
Some of the judgments you've been making about yourself,
The constant jibber jabbering,
All of that stuff.
The self-criticism,
Just think about that for a moment.
Think about honestly what has been your style of self-judgment,
Of self-criticism.
What has been your style?
How does it represent itself to you in your active experience?
I want you to really own this.
No running away here.
We face our creation.
I want you to face yours.
And as you hear that self-criticism,
I want you to notice where you feel the feelings,
The emotions in your body.
Just notice where you feel that and how it makes you feel honestly when you're doing that to yourself.
Become aware of how in the past you've criticised that internal voice in your mind giving you a hard time.
Sometimes we can call that the monkey mind,
For example.
And how you may have even spent your life trying to push that away,
Making it wrong,
Bad,
The bogeyman.
I'm now going to invite you to take a whole different perspective and viewpoint of this end of your internal voice.
I want you to imagine for a moment this internal voice is like a two to three year old child that doesn't know any different.
Just responding to its environment.
Imagine for a moment you have this two to three year old child in your arms.
Just can't be quiet.
Crying constantly,
Screaming,
Flailing,
Making you feel like you're in a different place.
How would you be towards that child?
Would you be angry at that child?
Would you berate?
Would you say horrible things to that child?
No.
You'd feel love,
Compassion,
And joy.
You'd feel love,
Compassion,
And joy.
You'd feel love,
Compassion,
And joy.
No.
You'd feel love,
Compassion,
And understanding.
Right?
And as you hold the child in your arms,
And you're being present with that child,
And you're making sounds like shh,
Shh.
It's okay.
Shh.
And as you imagine doing that,
Shh.
As you're hearing your internal dialogue,
Shh.
It's okay.
I'm here.
Shh.
And as you feel the child in your arms,
I want you to notice what's happening as you're making this sound.
Shh.
And you're saying,
It's okay.
I'm here.
I want you to be as loving as you can to your internal voice.
As you're saying this and making the sound,
Shh.
It's okay.
I'm here.
It's okay.
I hear you.
I hear you.
Shh.
And as the child becomes still in your arms,
Just notice what's different.
Notice what you have done that is different.
As you hear the internal chattering mind becoming more silent.
And imagine you hold this baby to your heart,
And notice how the baby is responding in your arms.
So in the presence of love and the consistency of that emotion or vibration,
Everything will yield.
Everything will yield in the presence of love.
There is nowhere to hide.
There is nowhere to run.
It will yield.
And so will your internal dialogue.
It will yield in the presence of your love to it.
Shh.
Shh.
I understand.
I'm here.
As you continue to repeat this over,
I'll give you more space for this process to continue now.
And so it is.
I understand.
I'm here.
I'm here.
Responding directly to your inner mind,
To the inner internal voice.
Shh.
I understand.
I'm here.
And notice if you want to change that language in any way,
However always use.
Shh.
I'd like you now to very gently place your left hand over your heart and your right hand on top,
Very gently.
And now focusing your attention on your heart area and your breathing naturally and easily,
Very softly,
Gently.
Acknowledging your internal voice.
Shh.
It's okay.
I'm here for you.
Shh.
Good.
Feeling the peace inside.
Good.
The growing peace and calmness inside.
Good.
And if you begin to move your attention deeper inside,
Going deep inside as if you are completely letting go,
And you can know that it's safe to completely let go now.
And so it is.
And as you let go even more,
I want you to imagine it's as if on the inside your eyes open now.
In the distance you see the most beautiful bright light shining.
Notice the colour of this radiant light.
And as you see the light over in the distance,
I want you to notice what happens as you move closer to the light.
And even closer and even closer and even closer and all the way into the light within you connected now.
And so it is.
And as you are in this expanded state,
Aware of your expanded consciousness,
I'd like now to invite you to set the most powerful intention in your life that you have ever set consciously or unconsciously.
This will be the most powerful intention you have ever set in your life as you focus on the sound of my voice and you see the light in this expanded place.
We will set this intention now.
It is my intention,
If you listen to my words and copy my words,
It is my intention that I will always remain the chief.
My tribe or my emotions.
My thoughts.
My internal dialogue.
The way I communicate with myself.
My physical body.
My thoughts about the past and the future.
These will remain my tribe.
I am the chief.
I am the chief and so it is.
And as this reality locks in place inside of you on the deepest,
Deepest level,
I want you to feel gratitude in this realisation that you are now the chief and so it is.
And as you feel this gratitude,
Feeling yourself as this divine,
Expanded being that is able to have a human experience and to experience a physical form,
To engage in emotion,
To engage in internal dialogue,
Internal voice to yourself that can engage in thoughts about a past and about a future.
That you can experience a stream of thoughts into your mind,
Into the experience of mind.
And as you remain this expanded being,
Reflecting upon this as an experience,
Feeling the gratitude,
Really feel the gratitude now and so it is.
In a moment I am going to ask you to begin to come back into your human experience.
However,
I'd like you to bring back the light with you.
It's as simple as setting an intention.
It is my intention to bring back this light with me into my human experience where I will remain connected at all times to my.
I am the chief now and so it is.
And as I count to five,
I'd like you to completely return back into your physical body,
Bringing the light with you.
One.
Two.
Returning back.
Bringing back the light with you.
Three.
Almost all the way back into your physical body.
Now.
Four.
You're inside of your physical body,
Feel your legs,
Your arms,
Your fingers,
Your toes,
Wiggle your toes,
Wiggle your fingers.
You're back inside of your physical body.
You can see the light and you are connected to the light now and always and so it is.
In a moment,
I'm going to ask you to open your eyes,
But before you do,
I want you to understand and know that you will remember every part of your experience,
That you are now more conscious of your divineness,
Of your expansiveness.
Like a chief,
You stand tall,
You're a tribe.
You know your tribe.
Five.
Open your eyes and welcome the chief within.
