Transcript

Let's begin our meditation by grounding in the body.

Letting awareness descend to the base of the body,

Where your seat meets the cushion,

Or if you're in a chair,

The soles of the feet on the ground.

Letting the body's weight and natural groundedness settle the restless mind.

Letting the body's weight and natural groundedness settle the restless mind.

Letting awareness descend to the base of the body,

Where your seat meets the cushion,

Or if you're in a chair,

The soles of the feet on the ground.

Letting the body's weight and natural groundedness settle the restless mind.

Then letting attention float up to the feeling of the breath as you inhale and exhale.

Breath,

Breathing,

You.

Now letting the eyes open just a little,

With the gaze soft,

Not focusing on any one thing.

Taking in the visual field with equanimity.

Soft gaze.

Letting go of the urge to follow after the past.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Arrive in this present moment,

Lucid,

Open,

Aware.

Not blocking anything.

And not following after anything.

Allow thoughts to arise,

Abide,

And dissolve on their own in the space of natural mind.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Observing these thoughts,

These feelings,

These appearances with affection.

Like a mother watching her children play.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

These thoughts,

When we cease to grasp at their content,

Liberate themselves.

They are the mind's natural display.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Turn your attention to a thought as it arises.

When it arises,

Where does it come from?

Whatever you find or don't find,

Rest in that.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Notice a thought that is fully formed in the mind.

This thought,

When it is in the middle of its life,

Where does it dwell?

Whatever you find or don't find,

Rest in that.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Now follow a thought from its existence into its dissolution.

When a thought dissolves,

Where does it go?

Whatever you find or don't find,

Rest in that.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

Letting go of anticipating the future.

And may I pay forward the fruits of this practice for all beings everywhere.

Smooth and patient voice, powerful returning back with semi-opened eye. Tracking thought clouds as a meteorologist. Thanks 🌄❤️
