Emotional baggage is heavily carrying past trauma,

Negative experiences,

Relationships,

Or even a career through our current life happening right now.

Emotions that aren't dealt with don't just go away.

They all carry an unbearable weight on us.

And the thing is,

It's so detrimental to our health,

Especially in the way we think about ourselves and how we act to stress.

Make sure you're in a comfortable position.

If you have not already done so,

Please close your eyes.

And as you do,

You notice a gentle web of relaxation sweeps over your entire body,

Your head to your toe,

Taking a few deep breaths.

And as you take these deep breaths,

Let yourself soften into the present moment.

Let go of whatever was challenging for you today and help yourself arrive more fully right here and now.

However you experience relaxation is perfectly fine if you can become aware of a slight tingling sensation in your fingers.

At first you may not feel anything at all or perhaps it is very strong the moment you place your attention on it.

Either way,

Experience how the more you think about this tingling in your hands,

The stronger it becomes.

Enjoy this feeling.

Observe it with a warm curiosity of a wide-eyed child.

Remembering we were all children once.

Perhaps you can draw on a single moment of pure innocence.

It could be as simple as getting that sparkling piece of candy in a candy store or the first beach trip where your little feet got its first sensation of a warm gentle wave.

Capture this moment and apply this childhood sense of the light towards the tingling in your hands.

The sensation is neither good or bad.

It just is and it's something that is so easily to attain.

It's a moment of 100% purity.

Something we have all experienced.

Right now is another one of those times.

This feeling in your hands can be referred to as energy,

Power,

Force,

Your inner wisdom or your true self.

Allow this feeling in your hands to be felt throughout your entire body simply by imagining it going to every cell in your body,

Through your heart,

Through your belly.

Allow this warmth to envelop you.

This feeling carries with it a gentle relaxation and a sense of flow and movement.

Experience this amazing sensation just for a few moments.

Just rest here for a little bit.

Listen to your body for a while.

Staying in your sensation.

Breathing.

Softening.

Now take this energy force and apply it to your mind and emotions.

The flowing movement and sense of non-judgment and slowly bring awareness to something that has recently concerned you which brought about some hurtful emotions.

Feel the troublesome emotion rising.

Sit with it as if you were just along for the ride or as if you were a child sliding down a slide.

You know how you feel about this certain thing.

During this state of relaxation along with the power that you generated first in your fingers you're about to let go of the attachment to this emotion.

Just letting it pass on by.

Just as all the sounds around you pass through your ears.

You don't need to pay attention to them.

They are just there.

It's a simple technique just to observe how your emotions call about different thoughts.

Each thought is begging for your attention.

There's so many to choose from and that's what this is all about.

All the while you've had the ultimate choice of what you choose to believe and what you choose to let go of.

What you choose to pay attention to and what you choose to let affect you.

You see we move on from emotions by processing it and all emotions are valid so they must be acknowledged.

Denying how you feel is what causes an emotion to be trapped.

Causing it to rise over and over again and only when you truly experience it does it release.

Feel yourself pushing past any fear as you now experience any lingering sadness that you have not dealt with.

Allow yourself to fully truly feel sad right now.

Here you are completely relaxed and safe.

Good.

Notice now how the sad feelings are dwindling and your body is returning to balance.

This is how it feels to move through an emotion the way that we were intended to.

Let's cultivate the feeling of joy and happiness right now by remembering a time when you were so very happy.

Allow this emotion to build in you and notice where in your body you experience delight.

Perhaps this is something recent that brought up the feeling of joy like a dinner with a dear friend or maybe it was long ago.

Either way immerse yourself in pure bliss.

Reliving this memory.

Just allowing it warmth,

Peace,

Calm.

That's good.

Noticing now how the happy feelings are subsiding and your body is gently returning to balance once again after fully experiencing this emotion.

Now fully become aware of what this neutral state feels like and your sad just here and now floating along time and through space.

Heightened emotions have come.

Your emotional state in this moment is that of harmony,

Bliss,

Peace,

And ease.

Allowing for emotional states to be fluid is a way to cultivate never-ending balance,

Complete harmony.

Before we finish with this meditation let's just check in with our breath and take three full deep breaths just to seal the practice.

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Now we're going to come back to the present moment bringing back a new ability to truly honor our emotions which allow them to balance out on their own.

Taking time now to be grateful to yourself for knowing how to nourish your mind and your body.

Allowing space for your emotions to be healed.

Bringing you back to a normal state of flow.

Be well and be peaceful.
