Welcome in,

Welcome in.

Welcome to this session that's intended as a practice for you to cultivate and embody a felt sense of trust.

Some of the questions you might ask yourself as you're moving into this practice is,

In what ways is lack of trust keeping me from living my most authentic life?

You might ask yourself,

How can I trust the timing and pace of my life's unfolding?

So having a sense of what trust is for you,

Having faith that you can take life as it is,

That you can be with whatever comes,

And that what is happening is happening for you.

Just bringing to mind how you feel when you're in a state of trust,

What does trust feel like for you energetically and body?

Does it feel playful,

Light,

Steady,

At ease,

Centered or grounded?

What does it feel like viscerally in your body?

So we'll explore this as we move through the practice.

Just begin to tune in and notice what's happening in the body and in the mind as you open yourself to this experience of trust.

Just taking a moment to tune into the rhythm of your heartbeat,

Just for a few moments.

Just allowing the rhythm of your heartbeat to bring you into this present moment,

To open and expand you,

To bring you into oneness with the rhythm of your body.

Beginning to notice that the body is breathing and noticing the quality of the breath now.

There's nothing to do,

No shaping or controlling,

Just noticing how the body is breathing.

So we'll begin with a soothing self-touch somatic body scan,

Just using your intuition to feel into what kind of touch your body wants right now.

Noticing this as an opportunity to build trust with your body by using compassionate and intuitive self-touch.

So touching your head and your face,

Noticing what kind of touch feels good here.

Just being really gentle and tender with yourself if that's what you need.

Just noticing your temples,

Letting every touch be a blessing and an offering of gratitude.

The back of your head,

Your ears.

You can play with the difference in touch,

Noting which part of your body likes which type of touch.

Your shoulders might be soft,

Firm,

You might like tapping and squeezing,

So see what kind of touch your neck and shoulders like.

Your upper arms,

Your wrists,

Your hands and your fingers,

Maybe a little massage or a circular rubbing motion,

Perhaps just holding.

Stretch the fingers and open and close the hands,

Thanking them for all they do for you each and every day.

Taking your hands now and touching any part of your back that you can reach,

Embracing a posture of dignity,

Whatever that means for you,

Appreciating your spine for holding you always.

So touching the side body however you like,

Swaying from side to side,

Noticing how each side feels,

And notice how it feels to come back to center.

Moving from your hips,

Swaying back and forth,

Noticing how that feels and then back to center.

Now taking a moment to be in the heart space,

Tuning in,

Listening for what kind of embrace your heart wants.

Tune in to the rhythm of your heartbeat and listen deeply.

Your heart knows things before the mind does.

So hold yourself at your heart and enjoy being held.

Now move to your belly and tune into this area to connect with your intuition and listen deeply.

Reconnecting back with the breath now,

Watching the breath flow in and out of you with ease,

Without any effort.

Noticing the ease with which you receive the breath and offer your gratitude in whatever way feels good.

Maybe a smile,

Maybe a verbal thank you or a gentle touch.

Maybe you bless the breath as you receive and as you let go.

Bringing your attention to the support your body is always providing is one way of accessing trust within.

Of stabilizing your emotions,

Your mood,

Your energy.

The soul speaks through the body so silently or out loud saying,

I am safe.

With one hand on your heart and one hand on the support beneath you,

I trust that I am safe.

Feeling the vibrations,

The sensations,

The feeling tone that this creates in the body as you speak these words,

This truth out loud.

The embodiment of safety.

As you feel into the rhythm of your whole body,

Welcome all parts of you here to this moment and notice how it feels in your body as all parts of you arrive,

As you invite them closer.

Maybe some heavy,

Chaotic,

Confusing feelings.

Maybe some pressure.

Maybe some comfort,

Familiar or safe feelings or sensations.

Just making space for all of your parts to arrive.

The forgotten parts,

The vulnerable parts,

The angry,

Scared,

Jealous parts,

The defensive,

Proud and protective parts.

Just notice as you create space for all of your parts to arrive just as they are.

Some will take more time than others.

Others will remain in hiding so you are patient and curious,

Open and willing,

Welcoming them home.

Just notice if there's any fearful parts making themselves known or coming up for you right now.

Just listen into what that fearful part is saying,

Is communicating.

Moving toward this part,

Just notice how it feels in your body to move toward a part of you that's fearful,

To a part of you that's signaling what you are fearful of.

Take the time to get to know this part,

Connecting to the truth of the situation.

So what truth lies beneath the fear that this part is communicating to you?

What truth is there to see now?

Knowing that this fearful part is most likely trying to protect you,

So moving with gratitude,

And appreciation for all of the ways that your body protects you,

The ways that your body communicates.

Thinking about ways or times you didn't trust yourself or maybe you ignored your intuition.

Are there choices or decisions you've made that have created distrust?

Are there habits or patterns that you continue that are no longer aligned,

Maybe numbed or ignored or didn't have the time?

So without any judgment,

Just acknowledging,

Dishonoring,

Noticing if you're still clinging to beliefs that you've outgrown.

Where might you need to forgive yourself and accept yourself fully so that you can build the trust that you desire?

The awareness creates the space and opportunity for forgiveness.

The awareness creates space for newness so that you can be trusting and trustworthy with yourself first and foremost.

So feel into the energy of forgiveness and send it to whatever part of you that needs it.

Fully heartfelt,

Acknowledging,

Accepting,

Compassionate,

And loving that version or part of yourself.

So noticing how you feel in relation to this part,

How you feel toward it,

If it feels familiar or distant based on who you are now.

Noticing the space between you and it as the observer,

As the watcher,

As the one who is aware.

Being with your fearful part with compassion and clarity,

You might say,

I see you,

I hear you,

I get you,

I got you.

Notice if the feeling of fear shifts.

Notice any feelings or sensations of relief as you and your part let go of anything lingering that no longer has a purpose and no longer fits,

And you smile,

Allowing this part to be integrated back into you now.

This emotional and somatic work is cleansing,

It's clearing out the clutter.

Sometimes getting messy is a part of deep cleaning,

And so are you holding on to stuff that is ready to be let go?

Are you clinging?

Just take a few moments to clear out anything that is no longer serving you.

So bringing your attention back to the physical body,

Embracing yourself,

Giving yourself a soothing self hug,

And offering gratitude to yourself for clearing space to access trust within.

Here's a poem by Rumi to close out the practice today.

You were born with potential.

You were born with goodness and trust.

You were born with ideals and dreams.

You were born with greatness.

You were born with wings.

You are not meant for crawling,

So don't.

You have wings.

Learn to use them and fly.

I thank you for your practice and for activating your inner magic with me today.

Be well.
