So,

Welcome to this meditation and we're going to be grounding our bodies,

Relaxing any tension,

Allowing ourselves to be present with our bodies,

Our minds,

Our surroundings and each other.

We're going to be connecting to our heart space and just creating a restorative practice and hopefully a feeling of safety and love and support that you can tap into or connect with whenever you feel that that is necessary.

So,

Just settling into the space around you,

Gently closing the eyes if that's available to you,

Feeling your body in the seat and feeling your feet on the ground,

Maybe wiggling your toes a little bit,

Just feeling into your little toes and then relaxing them and noticing any sensations that arise and then breathing into your stomach,

Inhaling and exhaling and just allowing any tension within your body to sink down and release into the ground through your feet and into the earth.

Just inhaling warm light into your body and allowing it to warm your insides,

Allowing it to ease any tension,

Any tight spots,

Any raw emotion that you might be carrying and just exhaling down into the earth through your feet.

And we're going to connect to our head,

Feeling into the space around the head,

Feeling into the forehead and any tightness or tension that is holding on in this space.

Seeing with your breath whether you can bring an awareness of release to this space,

Whether you can bring lightness to this space.

And then we'll move to the eyes.

The eyes carry a lot,

You can feel into the sockets of your eyes and any tension that's behind the eyeball or on the eyelid.

And just with your inhale breathing in loving light into this area and exhaling any tension.

And then coming to the ears,

Noticing any sounds around you and not needing to judge or react or respond to anything,

But just coming at what you hear with a sense of acceptance,

Awareness,

Stillness.

And then coming to your cheeks,

Is there any tension in your cheeks that can relax a little bit more?

Just bringing awareness to the cheekbone and whether this section can gently soften,

They surrender.

And then we'll move to the jaw,

Jaw and the mouth,

The areas of communication,

Allowing any tension in this area to soften and release it to the ground,

Knowing that we don't need to store tension,

We can release it and move with relaxation and ease.

And coming to the nose,

Feeling into the bridge of the nose,

The nostrils,

Feeling the breath going in and out,

Noticing the subtleties,

The simplistic sensations of just being alive that can so often be overlooked.

Yet coming back to this simplicity can allow for expansion,

Greater awareness,

Greater capacity.

And then coming into the neck,

Feeling any tension or tightness in the neck,

The upper back,

The shoulders,

These areas tend to be quite tough for holding tension.

How can we breathe into them and allow them to release?

Just allowing your inhale to wash over your throat,

Shoulders,

Upper back,

Bringing waves of relaxation.

And then coming to the arms,

Just feeling into how your arms feel,

Are you holding anywhere?

Can you release a little bit more?

How do your fingers feel?

Is there a difference between the feeling in your pinky finger and your thumb?

Can you feel each finger separately?

Can you feel your palm?

And can you feel the top of your hand and your wrist?

We do so much with our hands all the time,

And just allowing them this time to just feel themselves,

To be with them in a different way.

Then coming to the heart,

The centre of love,

The centre of creation,

And creativity and inspiration,

Just feeling into your heart.

Can you feel your heart beat?

Can you breathe into your heart?

Can you release tension from your heart?

To live within the heart is to be open to all,

All the sadness,

The pain,

The loss,

The fear,

The shame.

Being open to all of our human emotions and feelings and situations.

And bringing love,

Bringing light to all of these feelings,

Knowing that they are valid,

Knowing that they are supported from within this heart space.

Through dropping down into our heart,

We can drop the narrative and feel the feeling.

What feeling is present for you today?

It may be a combination of feelings,

Some high,

Some low,

Some strong,

Some less strong,

But just bringing awareness to whatever feeling you might feel in your heart space at the moment.

And then moving into the stomach,

Perhaps taking some deeper breaths into this area,

Expanding,

Creating space,

Allowing new energy to flow into your body,

Bringing oxygen in.

And once again just imagining inhaling this golden light in through your nose,

Down in your throat,

Past your heart and into your belly.

And then on your exhale just allowing any darkness or anything that doesn't serve you,

Just gently allowing that to release on the exhale,

Release out your nose,

Down to the earth where it can be restored.

Just feeling into your whole body now,

Feeling into the toes again,

The fingertips,

Top of the head.

Just noticing how each part of your body has different sensations,

Different ways of communicating and responding or reacting to things.

And just allowing ourselves this time to just be with that,

Feel into it,

Check in with our own experience,

Check in with our own heart and allowing whatever resonates to resonate with you.

And being grateful to yourself for allowing this time with your body.

Taking some deep breaths again and putting your hand on your heart if you feel called to do so.

And being open to trusting your heart,

Open to listening to your heart,

Open to others hearts.

How can we communicate with our hearts,

With each other and with our surroundings?

What does the world look like from looking at it from a place of connectedness with your heart?

Do the colours seem brighter?

Does the wind seem fresher?

Does the ground seem more supportive?

And we'll just end on a little mantra that I came up with the other day.

I am love in my heart.

I am strong in my body.

I am supported by the earth and I am safe with the heavens.

And just allowing yourself to come back into the space.

Just taking your time.

Maybe gently regaling your toes and fingertips,

Moving your head.

And when you're ready opening your eyes.

Thank you for joining me with this meditation.

I hope you found it useful and sending you lots of love.
