Welcome,
I'm Carolyn.
This is a meditation to help you appreciate the value of not doing anything.
Our tendencies are to be out there in the world busily accomplishing all of our daily tasks,
When more often than not,
Our nervous systems crave these moments of pause.
In order to find balance and ease and more clarity,
Stopping and just being as you are is beneficial.
Begin by taking a really big breath in and a cleansing exhale.
Just take inventory of how you're feeling right now and how your day went today.
Let yourself feel really supported where you're sitting or where you're lying.
Let go even more completely into the surfaces that your body is connected to.
Know that you are held.
It's okay to let go.
And in fact,
It's just as productive as all the goals that you have in your life and all the things that you try to achieve.
These moments of pause are just as worthy and valuable as the moments where you're out there exerting.
You are appreciated.
You are worthy.
Without even doing a thing.
Without trying.
In the state here of no effort,
You are appreciated.
You are worthy.
You don't have to look a certain way in this meditation.
There's no specific goal.
Just as you are is perfect.
The patterns of the mind run so deep and you might find an inner battle ensuing.
Or old voices of shame or doubt or fear.
Maybe not believing some of the words that are being offered to you right now.
Please just send all of those thoughts and emotions a bit of gentleness and maybe a couple of big breaths out whenever you need them.
Continue letting go in your physical body.
There's no need to harden against this practice.
Deep down when you stop,
When you let go,
You know that this is what's needed.
You know that your whole system is benefiting from this practice.
There is value in just being here.
You are worthy as you are.
You are worthy.
Observe if you're still connected to the physical body or are you caught up in racing thoughts?
No struggle is needed physically or mentally for you to be worthy.
You are worthy.
You are worthy.
You are worthy.
You are worthy.
You are worthy.
You are worthy.

Remember to ask.
Connect with your friends,
Connect with your people.
And above all,
Step back.
Be with yourself whenever you feel those habitual thoughts churning up again within you.
Pause and witness.
Thank yourself,
Thank all the teachers that you have in your life.
