Let me make some love.

Thank yourself for tuning in today and carving space for this practice,

For this time to be with you.

When you're ready you find a comfortable seat or lie down shutting down your eyes and land in this space.

Today's practice is designed around being open and inviting to change.

As humans we are creatures of comfort,

We enjoy the safety of living habitually.

Stepping out of your comfort zone can be foreign and uncomfortable and when diagnosed with diabetes it's encouraged for us to formulate regular insulin timing,

Doses and eating routines to find some stability.

This brings comfort,

It brings safety and a feeling of control and then we experience the volatility of life and the reality that we are never in control.

And this is where we can choose to resist the natural flowing of life,

Living by fear and control,

Becoming stuck and stagnant in our routines.

This is where we can disservice oneself by disregarding diabetes as it doesn't feel possible to live in flow.

This can be traumatic for us,

We can lose a sense of trust with ourself that we have the ability to self-care and to keep ourselves safe.

The antidote being we must learn to be adaptable to our ever-changing external realities,

To embrace change intentionally,

To use our breath as a tool to connect to this moving moment,

A comfort while we embrace change.

Burana is something that flows from somewhere inside of us,

Filling us and keeping us alive,

It's our vitality.

When we are troubled,

Stressed or worrying,

Energy blocks are created in our body and prana flows outside of us,

Outside of our body.

When our prana is greatly outside of our body,

This is where we feel stuck,

This is where we lack motivation for change.

Just directing your attention inward,

Can you notice the quality of your breath?

Is it short,

Shallow and rising only to the top of your chest or is it deep and full with your belly rising and falling?

You don't need to change the breath,

Just simply observe the natural process,

The breath moving in,

Circulating out.

Can you start to intentionally deepen this breath,

Tracing the air as it enters through your nose to your collarbones,

Expanding your rib cage to your diaphragm.

As you exhale,

The belly deflates,

The air moving up,

Opening up your mouth and audibly sighing it all out.

Just continuing to follow this breath,

Watching it.

Wherever you are,

Just exhaling gently,

We're going to inhale through the nose for the count of four,

Three,

Two,

One and retain the breath for four,

Opening up your mouth and exhaling for four,

Just letting your breath return to its normal rhythmic rate.

Can you feel the change within your state of being,

The prana that has entered your body and a sense of calmness washed over you?

Every moment is changing,

One constant is your breath.

Embracing change makes you adaptable in life to show up capable and confident to live with your diabetes.

When you're ready,

Cracking open your eyes,

Thank you for sharing this moment with me and I hope you can carry on with your day,

Using your breath to hold you in the ever-changing moments of life.
