In the following program, I offer you a powerful technique for entering the state of deep relaxation, a state of mind very similar to that which is reached during meditation, self-hypnosis, and prayer. After finding your deeply relaxed state you will learn ways to use guided imagery to visualize the empowerment of the cells of your immune system and to prepare them to block, weaken, and kill any viral particles that should enter your body.

The show you're about to hear is a recording from Dr.

Miller's webinar series titled Life Meditations.

He began this series in response to the pandemic,

And his goal has been to provide wisdom,

Practical tools,

And comfort to people during these stressful times.

Stop for a moment,

And right now,

Let your body rest in a comfortable position.

Take a deep breath in,

And as you let it out,

Let yourself be aware of the fact that right now,

There's nowhere that you have to go.

There's nothing that you have to do,

And there's no problem that you have to solve at this moment.

Therefore,

You can give yourself permission to relax and concentrate your awareness within.

To relax,

Focus on the life force within,

And empower the natural defenses of your body.

Take another deep breath in,

And as you let it out,

Say the word relax silently to yourself in your mind,

And really begin to feel your body releasing unnecessary tension.

Allow your eyelids to close.

And now,

Let the air do the breathing for you.

Good.

And letting your eyes roll gently upward behind your closed eyelids,

As you gaze peacefully at the back of your forehead,

Imagine you can see the word relax written there.

Or perhaps you will choose to imagine a flower,

A beautiful sunny beach,

A candle flame,

Or any image that is relaxing,

And lets you know that at this moment in time,

You're in a safe place,

And can allow yourself to empty your mind of unnecessary thoughts and distractions.

Release all unnecessary tension from your body,

And let the muscles of your eyelids relax all the way down to the point they just don't want to open at all.

And when you can feel that relaxation in your eyelids,

Gently test them.

Feel their drowsy,

Heavy feeling of relaxation.

And as you test them,

And feel they just don't want to move at all,

Let that peaceful feeling of relaxation and comfort flow from your eyelids,

Throughout all the rest of your body,

Through your forehead and scalp,

Through all the muscles of your face.

And as your jaw muscles relax,

Notice your upper and lower teeth separating slightly,

Relaxation flowing through the muscles of your neck,

And shoulders relaxing,

Soothing down through your arms and your hands.

That's it.

And as that feeling of relaxation reaches the tips of your fingers,

Perhaps you can feel a sense of warmth,

Or tingling,

Or a heaviness in your fingers.

And as you do,

Take a deep breath in,

And draw that relaxation from your fingertips up into the center of your chest.

And as you let this breath out,

Let it be a feeling of letting go completely.

And again,

Just let the air do the breathing for you,

Just as it does when you're deeply asleep at night,

Doing nothing,

Your chest and abdomen gently rising and falling with each breath.

And with each breath out,

Think to yourself,

It breathes me.

It breathes me,

The rising and falling,

A gentle massage of relaxation to all your internal organs.

Now let that relaxation flow through all the muscles of your back,

Down through your pelvis,

Thighs,

Knees,

Ankles,

And feet,

All the way down to the very tips of your toes.

Good.

And any time you wish to relax a little bit more,

Remember the relaxation in your eyelids.

Picture your symbol of relaxation,

And as you test your eyelids,

Send another wave of relaxation flowing throughout every cell of your body.

Now give your mind permission to become just as relaxed as your body.

And any time any unnecessary thoughts come along,

Just let them float away,

Unheeded.

Evaluations,

Criticisms,

Questions,

Doubts,

Thoughts about the past or about the future,

Just let them pass by.

Like a bus that's going somewhere that you don't want to go,

Don't engage.

Instead,

Imagine that any unnecessary thought that comes along is like a puff of smoke or a little cloud in the middle of your head.

And with your next breath out,

Imagine you're letting that unnecessary thought be breathed out through your nose,

Emptying your mind.

And let your next breath in,

Breathe in pure white light relaxation.

That's it.

This is your mind,

And you have the right and the power to ignore distractions,

To allow yourself to completely into this present moment,

The only moment that exists.

And decide what you want to focus your mind upon.

Good.

Imagine now that you're on a magic carpet,

Floating effortlessly through space and time,

Gently traveling,

Floating to a very peaceful place,

A place that is special to you,

A place that you find very pleasant,

Perhaps a beautiful,

Healing place in nature,

Someplace you have enjoyed deeply or can imagine enjoying deeply.

Let your imagination take you to a place that evokes from within you a pleasant feeling of warmth,

Of comfort,

Of happiness,

Peace,

Of health and wellness,

Doing something that is pleasurable to you.

You might find yourself walking along the seashore,

Enjoying the white crests atop the sparkling blue waves and the endless sands stretching into the distance.

Or you might go into the mountains or to a multicolored garden or the piece of a silent retreat cabin or chapel,

Wherever you'd like to go.

Travel there now.

Picture the scene around you.

Picture the colors and the movements.

Allow yourself to be completely in this scene.

And imagine there that your body is completely healthy,

As healthy and as well,

As strong and as vigorous as you have ever been in your life,

Or even more so.

And if you wish,

You might like to take a walk or swim or do something else that feels really good to you in this special place.

Do it.

Allow your awareness to be concentrated on the feeling of health,

Of joy,

Of energy,

Of vitality and strength inside your body.

Really feel it.

And enjoy it with all your senses,

The pleasant aromas,

The sounds around you,

The movements of your body as you absorb the magic.

Letting each breath in,

Breathe in peace.

And let each breath out empty your mind of unnecessary thoughts.

It breathes me.

And let yourself sink into the pause after each breath out,

The quietest time of all,

For all your mind and body.

And let yourself experience that little spark of energy that starts each new breath.

And allow yourself to feel a sense of deep gratitude for this spark of energy,

This spark of life,

The life force that has been there since the beginning.

Drawing life,

Giving oxygen into your body,

Breathing out CO2 and toxic gases,

Protecting and sustaining your health.

Feel or sense the source of this little burst of energy,

Perhaps there in the center of your chest,

Starting each new breath.

And imagine it is like a little valve opening,

Allowing a river of energy and life and wisdom and healing and protection to flow into your body.

Imagine you can feel and see it flow into your heart and then throughout your body,

Bringing physical and spiritual nourishment to every cell of your body.

Feel your body expand with peace and life with each breath in.

Good.

This healing energy not only creates wholeness within,

It also protects that wholeness.

Imagine that river of light and life growing larger,

Filling you full,

So full that you begin to radiate light from your body.

Feel it radiating from your body,

Surrounding your body like a golden aura,

A protective sphere,

A shield,

An energy bubble protecting you.

And imagine any negative energy of any kind simply bounces off the outside of your energy shield.

Viruses,

Bacteria,

Negative thoughts all bounce off.

And within you are kept healthy and safe from negative energy of all kinds.

As you now guide your awareness back to that river of light and life flowing into your heart.

And visualize your thymus gland,

The master gland,

The brain of your immune system,

Where it sits like a crown just above your heart.

And see or feel that river of light and life and power flowing directly into that master gland.

Good.

Now imagine that you can travel down that river into the thymus within your body,

Within the thymus,

The brain of your immune system,

And you find yourself in a huge room.

And the room is filled with hundreds of thousands of your immune cells,

Cells of your body that are designed to protect it from infection,

Just as they have every day of your life.

You are standing on a platform looking down at all these defenders of your body.

And you may see them as if you're a general looking over a huge army of troops.

And as you see this army of cells,

Imagine that you're speaking to them,

Sharing with them this feeling of health and power and confidence,

As though this feeling of health is flowing out from you and being absorbed by this army of your protectors.

Feel that river of light and life energy flowing.

And picture them being energized by this feeling.

Picture them growing stronger and stronger,

More and more eager and ready,

Empowered to do battle and preserve your health.

Envision them gearing up their internal factories to produce antibodies whenever they discover bacteria or viruses anywhere within your body.

Picture them churning out antibody particles,

Antivirus chemicals,

Like artillery.

And picture these flowing swiftly through your bloodstream to the lining of your throat,

The lining of your nose and sinuses,

To your eyelids,

To anywhere else in your body they may be called.

Imagine them coming into contact with a viral particle,

Fusing with it,

Completely inactivating it,

And raising a little red flag,

Which then attracts the killer T cells of your body that swiftly arrive.

Picture an army of these killer cells,

Growing more and more eager to swarm around through any foreign bodies,

Gobbling up viruses,

Engulfing them,

Dissolving them,

And eliminating them from your body.

Good.

And as this process goes on inside you,

Picture yourself doing the things that you know it is wise to do in your life.

Picture yourself carrying out those behaviors on a day-to-day basis,

Just as you have been advised to do by medical personnel that you trust.

Feel your hands and arms feeling very relaxed and still.

And any time that your hands would move up to touch your face in any way,

Instead,

Imagine they begin to feel really heavy,

As if they're heavy handbags sitting on the tops of your arms and hands.

Feel it now,

As if you try to move your hands and arms,

And they just won't budge.

And you remember,

Ah,

Yes,

I need to avoid touching my face with my hands.

And envision yourself keeping the required distance between yourself and others whose infectious condition you may be unsure of.

Visualize yourself scrubbing your hands thoroughly,

Often,

And at exactly the right times,

Using hand sanitizer,

Sanitizing surfaces in your home,

Car,

Office,

Wherever it's needed.

And in general,

Picture yourself carrying out the best practices in your life that will support your staying well.

Picture it now.

Good.

And because you are staying well,

You are also protecting others,

Since you will not become a carrier of the illness.

Great.

Now picture yourself in the future,

Maybe many months or years in the future,

As far as you want to go.

And picture yourself looking and feeling really happy and healthy,

Full of energy,

Full of life.

Step into this image and become this person,

And know that as long as you are true to yourself,

And as long as you continue to guide yourself from that place of wisdom within your mind,

You are creating this person,

The person you really want to be,

The person you really are,

Already deep inside.

And each time you listen to this imagery and picture yourself the way you want to be,

You become more and more this person.

And if you wish to continue to meditate,

You may do so now,

Or if you wish,

Just take three deep cleansing breaths and bring yourself back into being completely wide awake,

Feeling alert,

And comfortable,

And clear.
