An amazing thing happens when we simply slow down.
When we pause.
When we allow the moment to catch up.
So that we can truly drop in to the here and now.
The only place where life is really happening.
Breathing steadies.
Heart rate slows.
Anxiety dissipates.
And soon,
Everything that seemed cloudy or unclear begins to make perfect sense.
We start to move fluidly,
Calmly,
Steadily,
And with grace.
In the direction of all that serves us better.
In the direction that we've always been intended to move.
Please come to find seated position.
Either crossing legs and allowing sit bones to meet mattress or pillow or earth.
Or maybe drawing hips back to heels in a kneeling position.
Or perhaps sitting on a chair for more support.
Feet resting flat and firmly on the floor,
On the earth below you.
And when you find this comfortable seated position,
Let the eyelids close down.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and feel as though somebody is drawing you upright.
Pulling you up from the crown of your head.
And as you breathe out through your nose,
Feel and notice your sit bones.
Making contact with the earth or the chair or the surface below you.
Every in-breath you feel this lengthening,
Growing taller.
And every out-breath,
You notice the parts of you that are connected to a foundation.
You ground deep and slow and smooth breaths in length.
Reaching intentional breaths out and settling.
Just continuing to breathe with this awareness.
This newfound understanding and feeling of the north and south axis of your body.
Continue to breathe slowly and intentionally.
Keep breathing smoothly.
And now shifting your awareness from your back body and the length,
The grounding.
Drawing your attention to your face.
Relaxing the forehead.
Any lines of worry or concern dissipate.
Keep breathing.
Relaxing the jaw.
Decompressing the muscles in and around the eyes.
Continue to breathe slowly.
Breathe deeply.
Feel your shoulders drop down and away from your ears.
Feel the space in and around your heart.
Relax.
Keep breathing.
Smooth,
Slow,
Steady breaths.
Let your belly be soft.
Let the belly be free and liberated.
There is no holding on,
No tightness.
Slow,
Smooth breaths.
Body is relaxed.
Is intentional.
Slowly,
Slowly begin to draw your awareness back into this body.
And as this practice comes to a close,
Take a moment before fidgeting,
Before moving,
Before opening your eyes.
To simply check in.
To notice how you feel.
Noticing if there is any more space that's been created with these long,
Slow breaths.
If there is any firmness or hardness that has dissipated.
Any peace that prevails.
And just allowing yourself to savor and remember that this,
This place of lightness,
This place of ease and bliss,
Is always available to you.
And if there is some newfound space,
If there is some bliss or ease that prevails,
Take comfort in knowing that this,
You created.
And sweetly remind yourself that you can come back here at any time.
This is always available to you.
A beautiful day.
Namaste.
