This is Julie Skon and together we are going into a practice to release and let go of any stress and anxiety you are feeling right now.
To begin,
Find your optimal comfort zone.
Sitting up,
Walking around,
Lying down,
Whatever feels right for you is the best place to be.
Start to connect to your inhales and exhales,
Following this breathing rhythm with me.
Listen to my voice,
Count along in your mind as we go.
In this practice,
You'll be connecting to and aligning your nervous system to embody feelings of calm.
So let's go in.
Inhaling through your nose.

Pause and hold.

Exhale through your mouth.

Inhaling through your nose.

On your next inhale,
Imagine you're breathing light into your body.

Release and letting go of any energy not serving you.

Inhaling light in through your nose.

Release and let it go.

Continue on this rhythm for another minute or so.
Inhaling deeply light.
Exhaling,
Releasing and letting go.
Continue to count in your mind,
Allowing your breath to flow.
Sometimes the thoughts whirling in our minds,
The feelings,
The emotions we carry in our bodies feel so big because they are asking for a bit of space.
A gentle acknowledgement.
I will guide you through a few questions.
Try and maintain a natural flow of a breathing rhythm.
Between each question,
I will leave space for your answers to surface to your mind.
Try and allow your thoughts to flow,
Releasing them as we go.
Let's take a deep breath together and say out loud or in your mind,
What are the thoughts you are having that are causing stress,
Overwhelm,
Or anxiety?
After each thought comes to the surface,
Gently acknowledge it and exhale.
Let the energy of that thought out.
Shifting your awareness into your body.
What are the feelings your body is experiencing and holding onto in this moment?
Again,
No judgement.
Just acknowledge what your body is feeling right now.
As your answers come to mind,
Breathe a light into these spaces,
These sensations.
Exhaling,
Releasing any tension.
And one more question.
What is your heart feeling,
Experiencing in this moment?
Allow each breath you take to open your heart and each exhale to release any pain or hurt.
Now that you have acknowledged the thoughts,
The sensations,
And feelings,
Let's try and embody a reframe,
A reset.
Today in this moment,
What new mindset can you embody to ease your thoughts?
Today in this moment,
How can you nurture your body to embrace more feelings of peace and calm?
Today in this moment,
What can open your heart even more?
Let's take another deep breath together and repeat these affirmations after me.
Just for today,
I will release any thoughts not serving me.
Just for today,
I will breathe a light into my body.
Just for today,
I will listen to my heart.
Just for today,
I will be gentle on myself.
Just for today,
I will let go of anything not serving and supporting me.
Let's start to come back into this present moment.
Acknowledge that you took this time for you to connect to your breath,
Calm your nervous system,
To give yourself space,
To acknowledge the thoughts and feelings stirred within you,
To release and let go,
And to once again align with this present moment.
Let's take a deep breath together,
Inhaling,
Drawing in light,
Exhale,
Releasing and letting it go.
