By contacting experiences of deep connection and love, the caring moment meditation helps train us in receiving love, care, respect, and kindness, in order to build a foundation of security, ease, and relaxation within us. To learn more about this receptivity mode practice, part of the Three Modes of Practice, listen to the "Finding Our Fields of Love: The Three Modes of Practice" talk. Guided by Lama Elizabeth Monson, Spiritual Co-Director of Natural Dharma Fellowship.

So we're going to begin with some settling.

So allowing the body to come to a comfortable position.

And you'll want to have your spine upright but relaxed.

And we're going to begin with some deep abdominal breaths as a way to just settle more deeply into the feeling of the body.

So breathing in a slow,

Deep breath.

Inhaling down into the abdomen so that it expands.

And then exhaling,

Long,

Slow exhale.

Letting go of all worries,

Thoughts,

Tension.

Relaxing for a moment at the end of the exhale.

And another long,

Deep inhale.

Followed by an exhale.

Feeling the body relax.

Feeling your attention drop down into the feeling body.

Pausing at the end of the exhale.

And another long,

Deep in breath.

Belly expanding and releasing.

Relaxing.

Becoming present to this feeling body.

You can take a few more of these breaths in your own time.

And when you feel ready,

You can allow the breath to return to its own natural rhythm.

And just relaxing for a few moments.

Present body awareness.

This body.

This moment.

Just as it is.

Noticing the body's natural groundedness.

And allowing yourself to relax into the arms of this Mother Earth.

Supporting us from below.

And becoming aware also of the feeling of the breath.

The feeling of the breath as it flows into the body.

And as it flows out of the body.

Coming into union with the breathing body.

And just letting be with breathing body.

Almost as if you are being rocked in the cradle of your body.

By the flowing arms of your breath.

Just relaxing.

The body breathing.

And just relaxing.

The feeling of the breath.

And just relaxing.

The feeling of the breath.

And just relaxing.

The feeling of the breath.

And just relaxing.

The feeling of the breath.

And just relaxing.

The feeling of the breath.

And just relaxing.

The feeling of the breath.

And just relaxing.

The feeling of the breath.

And just relaxing.

The feeling of the breath.

And just relaxing.

The feeling of the breath.

And just relaxing.

The feeling of the breath.

Heard.

Appreciated.

Cared for just as you are.

See how much you can re-inhabit this moment.

Relaxing into the felt sense of being seen,

Being held,

Being cared for just as you are.

Let that feeling of receiving care,

Appreciation,

Respect,

Love.

Let that feeling infuse your whole being.

And if it helps,

You can visualize that there is a warm,

Radiant energy that is coming towards you from the person or the non-human being or the place.

And that is dissolving into all the pores of your body.

A warm radiance of care,

Love,

And appreciation.

Steeping in the feeling of being cared for.

Seeing held in your deepest dignity.

And just relaxing.

And just relaxing.

Accepting it,

Receiving it into your entire body and mind.

Into every part of your being.

Every layer of thought and emotion.

A flow of radiant care,

Warmth,

Respect,

Love.

What does it feel like to receive this energy into your whole being?

Let that feeling of being seen,

Being held,

Being held,

Being cared for.

Let that feeling of being seen,

Being held,

Being cared for.

Let that feeling of being seen,

Being held,

Being held,

Being cared for.

Let that feeling of being seen,

Being held,

Being held,

Being held,

Beinginateed.

Whenever you become distracted,

Taken away by thoughts,

Thoughts about the person or the feeling,

Other emotions,

Allow that sense of feeling held and cared for to draw you back into unity with it,

Dropping the storyline,

Dropping the concepts,

Returning to this field of loving energy flowing towards you,

Dissolving into you.

Every part of you loved in its very being.

Every part of you loved in its very being.

Every part of you loved in its very being.

Every part of you loved in its very being.

Remember that the focal point of this practice is the feeling of being held in care.

In love,

In warmth,

In appreciation.

Not the person,

Place,

Non-human being that may have provided that moment of care,

But what does it feel like inside to be held,

To be seen,

To be loved?

When you connect to that feeling,

Rest right with that feeling.

When the feeling changes,

Simply freshly recall the caring moment and let its loving power draw you back into unity with it,

The feeling.

Remember that goodness may Band JPMorgan no longer Bleier.
