Slowing down can often feel impossible in today's busy world. A world where we have normalised everything from hyper-connectivity and being "always-on", to constant brain stimulation and never being bored ever to burnout and workaholism being the status quo. Join me to tune in and witness the alchemy of each breath you take. Notice how your breath soothes, calms and enables you to slow down. An especially useful practice if you're feeling overwhelmed by life.

Hello and welcome.

Thank you so much for choosing to practice today.

My name is Nicky and I'm going to guide you through today's meditation.

I'm the founder of Slow Coaching Co and it's my mission to help you slow right down.

So congratulations for finding yourself here today and for committing to a couple of minutes of slow.

You've taken the first step for yourself today and a marathon or a mountain,

They're all climbed or completed by just taking one step at a time.

Once you've found yourself in a comfortable position here,

I want you to notice any part of your body that is grounded down on the earth and just notice how you're held here and how Mother Earth is always holding us.

And if you haven't already,

Close down your eyes and drop your shoulders away from your ears,

Smooth out any lines on your forehead,

Unclench your jaw.

Imagine that your arms and your legs were filled with concrete or cement and that they were really heavy and drawing any kind of stress and tension away from your body.

Tune into this very moment that we have right now.

Each moment as it passes will never be again.

All you have is this very moment right now and this moment right now and this moment right now.

Notice and bring your awareness to the movement of your body as she breathes or he breathes.

And draw your attention to the fact that this is happening,

This is happening and you don't need to tell your body to breathe,

It just happens.

Breath comes in and goes out naturally,

Automatically and it keeps us alive and it fills our body and nourishes our body with everything that we require to be alive in this moment.

And if you think about your breath it has the ability to diffuse a stressful situation.

It is the only thing that actually can physically calm you down,

Relieve stress and bring about a sense of calm.

And it is a beautiful,

A magical tool to help you truly slow right down.

Just tune into your breath.

You can tune into your breath at any moment in any day at any given time.

So right now come back to that beautiful breath,

Inhaling,

Filling up,

Nourishing,

Being alive in this very moment.

Emptying out and releasing any feelings of uptightness or stuckness.

Being witness to the magical transformative properties that our breath holds.

Knowing that we and our breath are alchemists.

What a beautiful miracle to be witnessing in each moment of each day.

Each moment of each day.

Coming back to that breath.

Being here in this moment with each breath.

Settling in,

Being still.

Allowing yourself to come out of this meditation when it feels right for you.
