Namaste beautiful souls and welcome to this equinox meditation where we will seek to align ourselves with the vibrancy of the autumn season.
Exploring what the trees can teach us in the benefits of letting go,
Discovering a childlike joy and how now is the perfect time to journey within and honor ourselves,
Mind,
Body and soul through self-care routines.
Find a quiet and comfortable place where distractions are limited.
Gently close your eyes if you wish and take a deep breath in through your nose,
Fill in your belly and slowly fully exhale emptying,
Emptying,
Emptying.
Continue with this deeper breath and as you exhale feel any tensions,
Worries or anxieties flowing away from you.
Let them go and feel a wave of deep peaceful relaxation wash over you.
Relax your forehead,
Relax the muscles around your eyes,
Relax your nose,
Relax your tongue,
Relax your jaw,
Relax your throat.
Let go and feel a wave of relaxation wash over you and letting go of your deep breath now allow it to fall into its natural rhythm.
As daylight wanes and the nights grow longer you are invited to journey inward.
This is an opportune moment to nurture your soul,
To practice meditation allowing your mind to settle and your spirit to flourish.
Imagine yourself in a serene and ancient deciduous forest on a crisp autumn day.
The air is fresh and cool and carries with it the essence of transformation.
The earth beneath you feels solid and grounding,
Connecting you to the wisdom of nature.
Now turn your attention to the magnificent trees that surround you.
Their branches adorned with leaves painted in the most vibrant and enchanting hues of fiery reds,
Golden yellows and earthy bronzes reach upward to the sky in splendor.
Observe how the leaves rustle softly in the autumn breeze and take notice of how the tree lets go of some leaves,
Willingly and gracefully allowing them to fall to the forest floor below.
The tree lets go now because if it doesn't it might break later.
These wise trees are teaching you the art of letting go,
The importance of releasing what no longer serves your higher purpose.
Consider something in your life that you feel the need to release.
Maybe a fear that holds you back,
A grudge that is weighing heavily on your heart or a habit that no longer aligns with your true self.
Imagine that you are placing this burden onto a colorful autumn leaf,
Holding it in your hand.
As you release the leaf,
Watch it fall and gently drift away,
Carried by the wind.
And as you let go,
Feel a profound sense of relief and lightness as you let go of what no longer serves you.
Now shift your focus to the fallen leaves covering the forest floor.
They create a stunning mosaic of colors and the tree knows in its wisdom that these fallen leaves will be absorbed and provide the tree with nourishment and rejuvenation over its winter resting period.
The letting go is beneficial on multiple levels.
Remember now the joy of kicking through a beautiful carpet of fallen leaves when you were a child.
Hear the crunching beneath your feet.
Feel the pure delight of being fully present in this joyful moment.
A moment of beautiful simple pleasure.
And as we enter this autumn season,
Embrace that inner child within you.
Feel the wonder and excitement of autumn's beauty.
Revel in that special autumnal scent,
The earthiness,
The crisp fresh air and the hint of wood smoke.
Letting the ancient forest imagery dim a little,
Let's travel within.
As the days grow shorter and the nights draw in,
We can look forward to cozy evenings.
These cozy evenings encourage you to snuggle down and journey within yourself,
To kindle and stoke your inner light,
To reflect on your dreams and nurture yourself,
Mind,
Body and soul,
Connecting with your higher self.
Imagine a warm and inviting hearth within your soul,
Radiating a gentle golden light.
This light represents your inner wisdom and your spiritual essence.
Take a moment now to connect with it,
Feeling its warmth and guidance.
With each breath,
See your inner light becoming stronger,
Illuminating the darkness.
This inner light is always present within you.
Sit now and simply be.
Listen for the quiet inner voice of guidance and truth.
Let go.
Let go and simply be.
And now bring yourself back to the ancient forest imagery,
The vibrant transforming forest.
The trees have so much to teach us season by season and this season's lesson of letting go can be hugely transformational.
I encourage you to honor your body as the season shifts.
Release unhealthy habits,
Stagnant routines or tensions held within.
Nourish yourself with warming nutritious food that balance with the cooler days.
Take leisurely walks through the falling leaves,
Letting the Earth's energy ground and rejuvenate you and surround yourself in cozy layers like a protective cocoon,
Snuggling into the wisdom of listening to what your body needs at this time.
And in your spiritual nurturing,
Be at peace and aligned with the natural rhythms of the season and find a deep sense of peace and balance within.
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly and fully.
Feel the peace and stillness of the ancient autumn forest around you and in your own time,
Open your eyes and return to your surroundings,
Carrying with you the lessons of the trees in letting go,
The joy of embracing your inner child and the wisdom of seeking your inner light during the darker days.
Embrace the beauty of autumn and carry its lessons with you as you travel forward on your journey of self-discovery and growth.
Shine brightly beautiful soul.
Thank you for meditating with me.
My love and appreciation flow to you.
