Welcome to this guided practice using affirmations to help you on your journey to become pain-free.
Affirmations are a powerful tool that can help expand our perspective,
Unlock new possibilities,
And get us back to our own internal wisdom.
A good affirmation is one you feel in your body.
It feels empowering,
And it feels relevant to you.
Using affirmations,
We can learn to change the automatic and often negative messages that our minds can generate,
Leaving us feeling more optimistic,
Easeful,
And confident.
Let's get started.
Begin by finding a comfortable position.
Upright and alert,
Yet relaxed.
And gently let the eyes close.
Taking a series of three slow,
Deep,
Nourishing breaths in your own time.
Breathing in deeply,
And exhaling completely.
On each exhalation,
Just letting go of any tension,
Any stress the body doesn't need to hold on to.
And shifting your focus from your outer world to your inner world.
Feel the body being supported by the surface beneath it.
Feeling the clothes on your skin.
And I invite you to put a hand over your heart,
If that feels comfortable.
And just for a moment,
With this hand gently resting on your heart,
Feel the warmth that it generates.
This soothing touch.
And say these phrases inwardly to yourself.
I am safe.
I am enough.
I am allowed to be authentic.
It is safe to be me.
Really feeling how these words land in your body.
How does it feel to share these words,
These wishes,
With yourself?
And continuing to keep your hand over your heart,
Or gently resting your hand.
Say these following phrases inwardly to yourself.
I deserve to be pain-free.
I am becoming pain-free.
My body is Herculean and my mind is limitless.
I am letting go and trusting the process.
We'll repeat those one more time.
I deserve to be pain-free.
I am becoming pain-free.
My body is Herculean and my mind is limitless.
I am letting go and trusting the process.
And if there are any other affirmations or words you wish to share with yourself,
You can do so now.
And we'll do a final series of affirmations together.
Just repeat inwardly,
All roads lead to my success.
I am a commitment to my future self.
I am authentic.
I feel peaceful.
Just letting the impact of those affirmations be felt within the body.
Letting these wishes envelop you,
Be in service to you.
If there are any final wishes that you have for yourself,
Let those arise and let them be felt in your body.
Then letting those words go,
But letting the impact,
The benefit of them linger.
Taking a nice,
Deep breath in through the nose and letting go.
Letting a smile curl to your lips.
Gently wiggling your fingers and toes.
And when you're ready,
In your own time,
You can gently open the eyes.
And as you open your eyes,
Just take note of how the body feels in this moment.
What feels different compared to before we began?
This practice can really help us come back to wisdom,
To optimism,
Cut through the doubt that we might have as we're experiencing chronic pain.
It can help remind us that we are not alone and that we have the tools and the wisdom within us to be pain-free.
I wish you well on your journey.
And have a wonderful rest of your day or evening.
