The Healthy Body Meditation In my previous meditation,
Deciding to Change,
We focused on the mind and how to reprogram it.
It was a simple exercise using breathing and emptying out all the thoughts we do not need.
Please go back and listen to this and practice so you can master the thoughts of your own mind.
The next stage of a balanced life is taking care of the body.
The body needs good food and exercise so it can remain in a balanced state.
We become distracted in our minds sometimes and forget that our bodies need to be taken care of.
Just like you would do with a newborn child,
It needs nourishment,
Exercise and loving words to be happy and we are no different.
We ignore our needs and find ourselves malnourished and our bodies become weak.
It is not easy to start over or make sudden changes in our lives.
Some overdo it and some may try for a while,
Give up and go back to the old way of living.
This is why I have begun my program with mastering the mind first so it becomes easier for changes to take place.
Please practice my mind meditation regularly as you progress through my meditations.
As you become stronger,
The following meditations will become easier and you will begin to experience many changes.
My meditations are designed specifically for those who want change and want to lead a more balanced life.
You don't have to be a guru or meditate endlessly every day but be mindful of what you have learnt and experienced through these meditations.
In time you will have picked up your own unique thought patterns that works for you and your life will be your meditation.
So let's begin to put some positive thoughts around your body image and begin to discover how having a healthy body helped you in many ways towards a fulfilling life.
I want you to close your eyes and take three deep breaths and as you breathe in concentrate on any discomforts or stresses you are feeling at this time.
As you breathe out I want you to imagine that you are exhaling those discomforts out into the air.
See it in front of you as a possible colour or shape or maybe some smoke coming out of a chimney or fire.
You decide what that substance will be coming out of your mouth and nose and being exhaled into the air.
So let's give it a go now.
Breathe in one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Hold and breathe out one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Now see that stress as a colour or maybe a shape or a puff of smoke leave you and float away.
Watch it move out further and further until it is out of sight and then disappears into the atmosphere.
And again breathe in one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Hold and breathe out one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Now see that stress as a colour or maybe a shape or a puff of smoke leave you and float away.
Watch it move out further and further and watch it move out of sight and disappear into nothingness.
And once more breathe in one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Hold and breathe out one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Now see that stress as a colour or simply a shape or a puff of smoke leave you and float away.
Watch it move out further and further until it is out of sight and disappears into nothingness.
I want you now to focus on your knees and down to your feet and into your toes.
Feel any tension as you breathe in and just notice that tension a little.
As you breathe out relax any tension by letting that tension leave through your exhaled breath.
Do this a couple of times now.
Nice slow breaths and just letting go of any stress you are feeling in your feet and the bottoms of your legs.
I want you to move up a little now and focus on the tops of your legs,
Above the knees and right up into the hip area.
Notice any tension in that area and again use your breathing to relax any areas that may have a little stress.
Breathe in slowly and naturally and allow the stresses in all areas leave you and relax you.
Do this a couple of times now.
You are now getting good at this.
You are learning how to relax and remove any stresses in any part of the body by breathing in naturally and breathing out any stresses that you may have.
It is a very pleasant experience and easy to do with a little practice.
You can do this anywhere and whenever you feel those little stresses and strains of life.
Now focus on the midsection of the body just above the hips and move up slowly and feel your tummy rise and fall as you breathe and begin to notice any tensions in that area.
Breathe in naturally and just allow the tension to leave you as you breathe out.
You can do this easily now as you are learning how to relax the entire body.
With practice you can relax the entire body by simply closing your eyes,
Focusing on any tensions and relaxing those areas with your breathing.
You slowly move up to the upper part of the body and right up to the shoulders and move down your arms and into your hands and fingers.
With each breath you take you can instantly relax any area by simply breathing in and allowing that tension to leave you.
That's it.
You are really getting good at this and will continue to get better with more practice.
Try a couple of times now and focus on all areas that may have a little tension and just breathe slowly and naturally.
You move slowly up the neck area and move right up to the very top of your head.
You are so much relaxed now and feel confident that you can now relax the entire body whenever you need.
Focus now on any areas that need attention and simply breathe.
You relax the neck muscles on the back of your head.
You move to the face and jaw and slowly begin to relax those areas by simply breathing in slowly and exhaling out in stresses easily as you breathe out.
You move up to the eyes and forehead and you can feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed as you breathe.
You reach the very top of your head and reach total relaxation throughout your entire body.
Your mind may wander with thoughts and allow them now to simply pop up as you breathe in.
Whatever they are just allow them to come up and as you breathe out exhale them out and into the sky and in front of you.
Put a shape or colour or simply see them as a puff of smoke leaving and moving further and further out until you cannot see them any longer.
They have been absorbed into the atmosphere and that energy no matter what it is will be recycled to energy needed elsewhere in the universe.
Remember all energy can be manipulated and changed into anything you desire.
You are the creator of energy and you decide where it can go if you wish or simply allow the universe to put this energy where it belongs.
Just sit with that for a while now and gently breathe in and out as you scan the entire body again so you are fully relaxed or relaxed as much as you possibly can.
Allow this relaxation to flow everywhere and with every breath you take and any tension to be exhaled and out into the atmosphere.
I want you to use your imagination and picture yourself performing an activity you enjoy.
Picture yourself there.
It could be walking,
Running,
Swimming,
Climbing,
Going to the gym perhaps.
Whatever it is you love to do just imagine that now.
See yourself happy and in peak fitness.
You are doing this exercising regularly.
It is simply part of your day.
You love doing it and it makes you feel great.
It relaxes your mind.
This is a special time,
Time when you can exercise and release the stresses and strains of the day.
A time when you can assess the day and allow the mind to release all the energy you do not need.
Your body is sweating out any toxins as you move and exercise.
You feel refreshed and energized throughout the day as your body feels fish and healthy.
You wear the clothes that you love and adorn the body in the best way possible.
It is your body and you love the way it looks and moves and performs when you need.
You feed it with wholesome foods and drinks.
Foods and drinks that make your body feel good and allow your body to stay healthy.
You eat the food and drinks that are full of all the vitamins a body needs.
You know that the combination of good food and drink,
A long exercise is the way the body works best.
When the body is working at its best the mind is working at its best and both mind and body are in balance.
When mind and body are in balance things begin to change.
Your whole self starts to emerge.
You are more confident.
You are not afraid of the future or the past.
You live in the now and know that everything and anything is possible.
You have learnt to balance your entire body and mind and all you have to do is apply the same balance in everyday life.
You simply do the things you love to do as it makes you happy and feel good about yourself.
You realise that loving yourself more and doing the things you love to do is the way to happiness.
Your happiness spreads out to all around you and the people you love.
By being in this natural state many beautiful things start happening in your life.
You feel that life is flowing the way you have always wanted it to flow and things seem much easier.
So let's look at you in this balanced state again for a while.
You are doing the activities you love and feeding the body with natural food and drinks.
You look fantastic.
You feel fantastic.
Your relationships seem better than ever before.
You plan better and seem to have a handle on your life.
Your finances and the way you carry yourself are much better.
You feel confident.
Your dreams are alive and you are working on all of them.
You are beginning to see the purpose to you and what you really want to become.
You like this version of you.
You realise it's not difficult to be this person.
All that is required is good exercise and healthy food and drink.
All that is required is a healthy mind that can take control over its own thoughts and empty the ones that are not required.
It takes a little practice.
It takes a little time and it's small steps to begin with.
A day at a time as we live in time.
A simple ritual is all that is required each day.
A time for good food and drink.
A time for exercise.
A time for good thoughts.
All that remains is how you use that time or rearrange that time that creates this life and balance for you.
Build slowly and plant a seed each day.
Start with one thought for an old one.
Start with a minutes exercise,
An apple to eat,
A glass of water to drink.
Build from there each day and watch as your world around you transforms into the new you.
The unique you.
Your true self and a step closer to realizing how special you really are.
