What does living a healthy lifestyle look like and actually mean to you?

Maybe it's trying new things,

Staying flexible,

Saying yes to joyful moments and events,

Finding feel-good fitness,

Building strong relationships,

Finding routines that work best for you,

Keeping up with your mental health,

Enjoying home cooking,

Finding time for rest and good quality sleep,

Having financial freedom,

Enjoying the love of learning,

Having self-compassion,

Enjoying plant-rich meals,

And having a fulfilling career.

Do any of these resonate with you?

There's so many ways to find that happiness and to find the balance.

Looking at the social,

Mental,

And physical aspects in the mind,

The mental,

How do you find the tools to manage stress?

And do you find time to spend alone to really get to know yourself and tapping into the time to have to allow the space for creativity?

And what about making the time for self-care?

The mind will affect the body,

The physical.

And when the body is in balance,

Then our blood sugar is even,

Which means we're not craving sweets.

Our immune system is stronger.

And how are you moving your body?

Do you love to exercise?

All of this affects your hormone balance.

When the hormones are in balance,

The mood is better.

And then there's the social,

The spirit.

What is your community like?

What is mealtime like for you?

How do you feel about being vulnerable?

And what are your hobbies?

When we find the balance and we all have our own system and our own rhythm and technique to get to that balance,

To tap within.

When the body,

The mind,

And the spirit are in balance and working together,

We find fulfillment in cooking happy,

Delicious,

Yummy meals.

We find time to rest and sleep.

We enjoy hydrating the body.

We make family a priority.

We have the coping skills so that we can take and enjoy the ride of the wave of life.

Mindfulness becomes the way of living,

Which then enhances our emotional health.

We find more joy,

More laughter,

And we feel more purposeful.

We were all born with the right to have a happy,

Healthy,

Fulfilled life,

Purposeful.

Sometimes we need to take a break.

There's so many benefits for taking a break on the physical,

The mental,

The emotional,

And the spiritual.

When we take a break physically,

Our energy increases.

When we take a break for the mind,

The mental,

It naturally reduces stress.

And by taking a break,

We're supporting our emotions.

And by stabilizing our emotions,

We're also uplifting our mood.

And by taking a break,

We're also tapping into our spirit.

We get a deeper understanding of what we want to connect to.

And our relationships also enhance and deepen,

Not just with others,

But with ourselves.

So what can taking a break or even maybe looking at it like self-love,

What can that look like?

Trying new healthy foods,

Making a plan by putting in your schedule the time for self-care,

Self-love,

Time alone to tap into your creativity,

Which may bring you back to healthy eating and enjoying organic whole foods.

It's all connected,

The mind,

The body,

And the spirit.

When the spirit feels fulfilled,

We naturally and organically will go towards healthy eating.

When we start our day by planning it in with prayer,

Mindfulness,

And meditation,

And moving in the form of stretching or yoga,

We're tapping into the body,

The mind,

And the spirit.

This is all self-love.

And it helps us to know when we need to reach out to others asking for support.

We get the gift of staying in the present moment and finding gratitude in what is.

We begin to trust ourselves and our intuition and our instincts.

Our self-confidence lifts and we no longer compare ourselves to others.

We validate our emotions.

So again,

By starting the day with prayer,

Mindfulness,

Meditation,

Stretching the body,

And then also planning in moving the body,

Exercise minimum 30 minutes a day,

Sometimes moving things around and trying different ways to move the body,

Different times a day,

Trying new colorful foods,

And then listening to the body,

The mind,

And the spirit so that you can respect your bio-individuality.

We're all different,

But we all can find the system that will work for us.

And what do you do when you are on overload?

How do you calm your nervous system?

There's many holistic ways to approach that.

Organizing your space will organize the mind,

Making the mind feel lighter,

And also releasing,

Releasing the stress,

Calming the nervous system.

Taking a walk will definitely calm the nervous system.

And so will deep belly breathing.

Low impact exercise,

Again,

Trying different ways to move your body is also a way to calm the nervous system.

Taking action to plan ahead for the week and being purposeful about it is also a way to keep your nervous system calm.

And of course,

Decreasing caffeine,

Listening to music,

Taking the time to be mindful to cook a nourishing meal,

And of course,

Meditation.

And not just starting your day with meditation,

But adding in meditation midday as a rest and reset,

Or at the end of the day to ease your way into a peaceful night's sleep.

We become what we consume.

So the people we're connected to and the relationships we have can affect our mind,

Our body and our spirit.

The social media accounts we follow can also affect us.

And so can the food we eat,

The conversations we have,

Not just with others,

But with ourselves.

Even the TV shows that we binge can affect our body,

Mind and spirit.

So what are you seeking?

Physically,

Are you seeking more exercise?

Mentally,

For your mind?

Are you seeking peace?

Emotionally,

Are you seeking connection?

And spiritually,

Are you seeking to connect to the purpose within?

It can take time to find the balance with the body,

The mind and the spirit,

And it will ebb and flow over time.

Be gentle with yourself.

Our mind is very resilient,

And we can use the breath to de-stress the mind.

Our emotions can guide us in a healthy way,

And we can use self-talk to help us through anything that is strong or powerful.

And also going to a friend,

A friend we trust and feel safe with.

Our bodies are meant to move,

And the more that we make that a priority and take time to move each day,

We actually will sleep better.

When we have the good quality sleep,

The mind works better,

And so do the emotions.

And even with deep sleep and rest,

We tap into the spiritual,

Which brings us to staying in gratitude,

Connecting to our purpose and finding happiness.

Where will you begin today?

What inspired you about what I shared in these moments together?

What action steps will you take?

I have courses here on Insight Timer that will support you.

The answers are within.

Start with taking the time to meditate,

To tap into your spirit so that you can be guided to the next action step,

So that you will feel happy and healthy in body,

Mind,

And spirit.
