Welcome.
This is Explore Your Worlds,
A guided meditation for Area 1 of Love Thyself First and Always.
Set yourself up in a comfortable seat or lie back.
Close your eyes.
Find stillness.
Tune into the breath.
Breathe deeply and slowly.
Allow the breath to feel elastic,
Expansive,
And smooth.
Absolutely effortless.
Flutter your eyes open and take in your surroundings.
Observe the textures,
The colors,
The sounds,
The movement,
The shapes,
The smells.
Everything around you.
What is one small detail you notice today that you might typically gloss over?
Let the image go and close your eyes again.
Bring your awareness to your thoughts,
To the mind.
Pay attention to how this space feels today.
What word or phrase of words might you use to describe the mind?
Consider swirly,
Cluttered,
Still,
Organized,
Or a different word that suits you better.
Notice the type of thoughts moving through the mind space.
What's the topic being discussed or reviewed today?
What's the tone or quality of them?
Who or what are they directed at?
Have you heard them before?
Don't get attached,
Just notice.
Now shift your focus to feeling the sensations in your body.
Without opening your eyes,
Feel the surface you are resting on.
Feel the weight of your body pressing in to that surface.
Notice the amount of space you take up.
Place your hands on top of your thighs and notice the weight of your hands on your body.
Notice the texture of your clothing or your skin.
Notice the warmth of your body.
How does the body feel today?
What word might you use to describe it?
What color or images come to mind?
Now let that go.
Place your hands over the heart space and bring your attention here.
Feel the weight of the hands over the heart as you breathe deeply.
What lives in the heart space today?
How does it feel?
Consider these words.
Weighted.
Heavy.
Light.
Spacious.
Near.
Distant.
Abundant.
Limited.
Shallow.
Overflowing.
Explore the origin or the source of what you are feeling.
Is it yours to keep close to your heart?
Or is it someone else's?
Now let that go.
Bring your awareness back to the breath.
Deepen your connection to the breath.
When you feel connected to the breath,
Tethered by the breath,
And you're ready to come out of stillness,
Slowly flutter the eyes open again.
