This guided practice will help you achieve heart coherence.
Heart coherence is a state in which we experience harmony and a deeper felt sense of connectedness.
When we are in this state,
Our body systems are synchronized and performing optimally.
This brings us calmness and an overall sense of well-being.
To generate heart coherence,
We need to set the intention of creating and experiencing positive feelings.
Some of these feelings include gratitude,
Love and appreciation.
Bring your awareness and attention to the center of your chest,
Where your heart is.
You can place your right or left hand over that area so that you can keep your attention grounded in your heart space.
Now take a couple of deep breaths.
Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Notice what happens in your heart area.
When you breathe in,
It's like the air flows through your heart.
When you breathe out,
It feels like the air is leaving it.
Keep breathing slowly and naturally.
Go deeper with each breath and find a rhythm that feels comfortable to you.
While paying attention to your heart space and breath,
Recall a past positive experience,
A moment in which you felt compassion,
Love or gratitude.
This can bring you to a special place,
Person or moment.
Hold that vision and feeling for a couple of deep breaths.
Let yourself cherish every single detail of that positive memory.
Now,
Slowly bring your attention back to your heart space and into your body.
Notice how it expands and contracts at each breath.
As this practice comes to an end,
Bring your awareness back to the place you are in.
Notice the sounds and the smells around you.
Slowly rock your body from side to side.
Move your fingers and feet.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes and come back fully alert and awake.
Please remember to come back to this practice whenever you need it.
The breath and your heart are always with you.
You can refocus on them at any given moment.
Just set your intention to practice heart coherence and go within.
