Welcome to GG mindful living.
Today's meditation is aiming to help you get to that very deep meditative state.
And in that deep state of subconsciousness,
We will let go of all that no longer serves us.
It's been officially one year since the pandemic has started,
Depending on where you are.
And it's been a tough year.
Let's take this time to celebrate you,
To celebrate what you have overcome and grown during the crisis.
We are going to start with a grounding meditation and then we will be moving to the active breathing meditation.
For the active breathing,
I want you to be really comfortable.
You are going to be lying down if that's available to you.
Or if you can't lay down,
Just sit back.
Let yourself be held by your couch or chair.
You are going to be closing your eyes and we will take two inhales.
The first inhale will be from your belly.
Your belly is going to expand as you take a deep breath in.
A second inhale from your chest and then you are going to exhale.
So it's belly,
Heart,
Exhale.
Belly,
Heart,
Exhale.
You can either breathe with your open mouth or through your nose,
Whatever feels best for you.
And it's very common to feel sensations,
Tingling,
Vibration and it's very common to have your body temperature change.
And it's also normal to have a lot of thoughts.
Whatever comes up to you,
Let yourself feel it,
Express it,
Release it,
Move it.
This is a safe place.
No judgement.
Now let's begin.
If you haven't done so,
Gently close your eyes.
Let's take a deep breath of gratitude.
Exhaling love to yourself.
Deep breath in and exhale.
As you breathe in,
Starting to notice what emotions come up for you.
Remembering where you were a year ago and where you are now.
Started to feel proud of yourself.
Feeling compassion for yourself and a lot of love.
Remembering yes,
It's a journey and it's nothing wrong with how I feel and where I am right now in my life.
As we are still breathing in through our nose,
Out of our mouth,
Noticing sensations in your body.
Noticing emotions for those of you can feel them.
Observe those emotions.
What emotions your body is holding onto and where.
And again,
Remind your body and mind that you are safe.
No one is going to hurt you.
No one is going to criticize you,
Telling you are doing it wrong.
You are going to be held here,
Supported,
Guided and loved.
Let's ground our bodies from the base of our spine,
Resting ourselves to Mother Earth.
However you want to imagine this connection,
It can be a rope,
It can be a root,
It can be a tree trunk,
It can be light or anchor.
Feel the support from your body down to the center of the planet.
And tell your body that it's safe to start to release anything or anyone in your space that you no longer need.
Imagine if there is any heaviness,
Any pressure,
Any fear,
Nervousness or distractions.
Imagine they are allowed to be pulled out of your body.
And take a deep breath in,
Starting to feel there is more space in your body and more ease.
Now connecting with your heart,
Set an intention for your practice.
Where do you want to move today?
To release.
Maybe you need help with something or maybe you want to feel a certain way.
Whatever your intention is,
Call it into your heart.
Now we are going to move into active breathing.
Belly,
Heart,
Exhale.
And now start to play music.
You can do it with whatever tempo you feel comfortable for you.
You might get a little bit emotional but just keep breathing.
Belly,
Heart,
Exhale.
Belly,
Heart,
Exhale.
When the light is gone and you're on your own,
You've been trying but the fight never goes away.
And you don't know when the sun will shine again.
All you gotta do is look my way.
If you got a problem,

If you're standing at the bottom,

We are breathing from our belly,
Breathing from our hearts and exhaling.
Remember when you felt so scared last year,
Maybe feeling helpless,
You got through it and you're here right now.
So keep breathing,
Celebrating yourself.

It's important to really recognize what you have overcome and that it wasn't easy.
But you still did it.
So celebrating you,
It's important for your soul.

And now let's go to the transition to resting breath.
Simply breathe into the nose and out of your nose.
Feel the softness in your body with an open heart,
With your light shining bright.
So imagine this pink light of love and hope out to the world,
Out to anyone who feels alone,
Who is feeling lost,
Who is in pain,
Who is scared.
And send the love,
Comfort,
Compassion and understanding to everyone.
Everything I've gone through has prepared me what is here in my life.
Slowly starting to become aware of your body,
Wiggling fingers and toes.
Making deep breath in,
Slow exhale out.
Deep breath in and exhale.
One more.
Exhale.
Slowly and gently making your way back up.
Today's biggest message was to celebrate yourself,
Acknowledge everything you've gone through and survived.
And also to acknowledge what part of you have outgrown over the last year that deep down inside you know can't move forward.
And of course celebrate you,
Celebrate everything you have achieved in the challenging year.
You did great.
