Hello and welcome to this guided meditation about the power of acceptance.
Find a comfortable seat or a place where you can be relatively free from distractions.
Find between sitting up tall but remaining relaxed.
Feel the width of your chest as you soften your shoulders down and back.
Rest your palms face up on your thighs or in a manner that is most comfortable for you.
Close your eyes and just take a moment to breathe in and out through your nose.
Choose a breath that reflects all the qualities you desire in your mind.
Gentle,
Quiet,
Patient,
Steady,
Spacious and at ease.
We are going to balance our awareness between the three spheres of mindfulness.
Your body,
Your breath and the mind itself.
Just stay present right here with all three of them,
Perhaps 20% of your minds attention on each and the remaining 40%.
Just let this part of the mind stay with a spaciousness,
An ease,
Comfort.
Don't get caught up in the numbers.
The idea is just to be mindful and at the same time free.
Just be breathing,
Present with body,
Breath and mind,
Presently aware with an open spaciousness,
An unconditional mind,
One without fear,
One without judgement.
And in this moment just notice what is present here with you.
Notice if there is any sensations arising in the body,
An energy that you can sense through the breath or a movement,
An emotion or even a habitual thought in the mind.
Whatever it is that you notice,
Welcome it with a spaciousness,
Allow it to be.
Don't try to change it,
Don't chase it and don't try to push it away.
Just remain still and spacious in your awareness as you accept what is that's arising.
This is how things are right here,
Right now.
Notice how it is and just accept it.
And recall that acceptance is spacious,
Non-judgmental and attached.
To accept things is not an endorsement.
To accept is not an opinion.
To accept is simply to recognise,
To notice.
Acceptance is mindfulness and awareness of the reality as it is.
And what do you sense about you now?
What's present here with you now?
What's arising in the body?
What can you sense through the breath?
Is there stillness or movement in the mind?
And this is how things are right here,
Right now.
Notice how it is and accept it.
What we know is true and what we can recall that like all things,
Everything will change.
And in your acceptance,
You give what is that is that you notice,
The freedom to change.
This is when you and reality are no longer battling,
No longer duelling.
Reality has no longer,
Has to defend itself.
When we have acceptance,
When we give thanks to your acceptance,
There can be a softening,
There can be movement,
There can be change.
And sense and feel how when we mention the words movement and change,
That we let go and accept things without fear,
Without judgement,
With love,
Compassion and acceptance.
So what about now?
What's present with you right here and right now?
And accept all sensations that are arising in the body.
Welcome it.
Give it space,
Give it freedom.
And what type of energy do you sense through the breath?
Welcome it all in,
Watch it.
And just notice the sensations around you with curiosity.
Again,
Is there stillness or is there movement in the mind?
Welcome it and accept it without attaching,
Without unpacking,
Without trying to push it away.
This is how things are,
Right here,
Right now.
Just notice,
Welcome and accept.
You will sense the whole of your body,
The breath,
The mind itself opening into the freedom of acceptance.
Nothing needs to be different right now.
This is how it is.
This is the spaciousness of acceptance.
We can tap into the wisdom that acceptance provides from the spaciousness of acceptance,
From this awareness of things as they are.
Just connect into for a few moments the wisdom in your body through your breath and through your mind.
And just ask the question,
What should I do now?
And just be equally accepting of the answer.
Give it the spaciousness of acceptance.
Understand the wisdom that acceptance provides.
Sense your whole body,
Your breath,
The mind itself.
And with your question,
Feel the opening into the freedom of acceptance.
Being equally accepting of the answer.
Learning to accept doesn't mean endorse.
Learning to accept doesn't mean you share the opinion.
Happiness gives us the space.
It provides wisdom,
Joy and happiness.
When you are ready,
Just take a nice deep breath in.
Let it go with your fingers,
Come back into the room.
And today have more gratitude and acceptance.
Have a wonderful day.
Be in love and give love.
Goodbye.
