Welcome to Nurturing Your Inner Sanctuary,

A meditation for the new moon phase.

Before we go into the meditation,

Just a reminder that this meditation is part of the course Moon Aligned Productivity,

Overcoming Overwhelm and Enhancing Focus.

If you'd like to learn more about how to harness the cycles of the moon,

Then please check that out.

Right onto the meditation.

Please find yourself a comfortable,

Quiet space to relax.

You can be seated or lying down,

It's completely up to you.

If you feel the need to rest,

Perhaps this is a time to allow that to happen.

So maybe you are lying down comfortably in your bed,

But if you're seated,

That's fine too.

All of this is about you finding what's right for you.

I'd like you to begin by taking some deep breaths in your own time,

Noticing the air going into your body and leaving your body slightly warmer.

Just enjoy feeling your body resting against the surface that it's on.

Perhaps feeling it's sinking a little bit into that surface.

Take a few more of those deep,

Deep breaths,

Connecting to that place within you that is the connecting to that place within you that is the place of deep relaxation,

Of rest,

Your inner sanctuary.

And now I'd like you to visualize that space.

A space within,

A space within where you can retreat and recharge.

A space within where you allow rest to happen.

A letting go of that fight to keep going,

That fight to keep hustling,

That fight to keep pushing through.

Just connect right now to that which is always inside you and that can never be taken away.

Your essence,

Your true energy,

Your connection to universal source.

And with each breath that you take,

Just focus on releasing any tension in your body.

You might wish to start at the top of your body and work your way down.

Or maybe for you it makes sense to start at the very tips of your toes and gently scan through your body from top to bottom or bottom to top,

Letting go of all the tension.

Inviting calm with each breath,

Releasing everything that's held in your physical body.

Releasing all the tensions in your mind,

Letting go of them with every single breath.

And now take a moment to think about what you want to cultivate during this new cycle.

Visualize your fallow land resting,

Getting ready to receive the new abundance that's coming your way.

Perhaps feel a sense of roots grounding you down into the soil.

Seeing that this is a place from where things are going to grow.

This is a space of rest and relaxation that everything in nature needs.

You are part of that nature,

Don't forget.

Nature needs a time to rest.

And you are a natural,

Organic being who needs to rest.

Organic being who needs to rest.

Can you let go of all those rules in your head about pushing through and hustling and keeping going and just allow yourself to rest?

This is what your body is asking for now.

It's asking for rest.

It's asking you to connect with your inner wisdom,

Your intuition,

To connect to your body,

To listen to what it is asking you to do.

Listen as your body asks you to rest.

Be grateful for your body inviting this rest into your life.

You know it's needed.

You know it makes sense.

You know that your body requires this space and time right now.

And this is what this invitation is.

Feel yourself sinking into whatever is supporting your body.

Feel yourself resting and relaxing.

Notice how good that feels.

Noticing yourself allowing that to happen.

Taking this time for you.

Allowing your body to rest.

Maybe you can see these other ways that you're going to allow your body to rest.

Maybe you visualize deleting some of those things you don't really need to do from your list,

From your calendar.

Maybe you see yourself resting,

Reading,

Journaling.

Enjoying that long hot bath if that's for you.

Perhaps writing a list of intentions for the forthcoming phases of the moon.

But right now the most important thing is to rest,

To relax,

To allow yourself to just be.

In a moment I'm going to bring you out of the meditation.

But I want you to know that you don't have to.

If you feel yourself drifting into a nap,

Then that's okay too.

So there'll be no loud finish to this meditation.

You just be gently guided out of it with a choice to stay,

To relax,

To sleep.

Or to become back into the world,

Back into life.

And allow yourself to move through this day with a focus on rest,

With a focus on slow,

With a focus on that pause of the new moon energy.

So perhaps you feel ready to move,

And if so,

Perhaps wiggle your fingers and your toes,

And whenever you're ready,

It's up to you.

Stay there,

Close your eyes and sleep,

Or open your eyes and move on with your day.
