This is a wellness meditation.
Allow yourself to sit in a comfortable position.
Take a nice deep breath inward,
Allowing the breath to be released slowly outward.
Breathe in from the nose if that is most comfortable for you.
Allow yourself to breathe deeply inward and gently releasing that breath outward.
Release the spine and allow it to rest in a straight posture or as straight as is comfortable for you and your body type.
You might consider pillows,
A chair,
Or some other device to allow yourself to maintain a posture that is comfortably erect where your spine is aligned as comfortably as possible for you and your body type.
You might soften the gaze or close the eyes completely if that is comfortable for you.
Allow yourself to take a deep breath inward and then release that breath outward,
Allowing the divine to move through you,
Allowing the earth to come forward and nourish you,
Allowing the space of the air,
The sunlight,
The animal species all around to support you in their own special way.
You might take another nice deep breath inward and then release that breath at a pace that is comfortable for you.
If you notice yourself making to-do lists,
Getting distracted,
Processing other thoughts,
Simply allow yourself to return to the constant sound of my voice.
You might also allow yourself to simply return to the sound of the breath as you breathe inward and breathe outward.
You might notice the shoulders,
Allow them to drape gently away from the ears in a comfortable and relaxed position,
Allowing the spine to support you,
Allowing the sit bones to also support you.
You might notice the surface of the floor or the ground around you rising to support you through the sit bones.
Notice the feel of the earth or the ground upon the sit bones,
Upon the lower thighs,
Upon the feet and any other body parts that are resting comfortably on the ground.
You might notice the earth,
The ground,
The floor rising to support you as you take a nice wonderful breath inward and then releasing that breath outward at a pace comfortable for you.
Thoughts can be like clouds,
Clouds in the sky that are simply passing us by.
If you find yourself engaged with your thoughts,
Just notice them like you might notice a big cottony ball of cloud in the sky and simply allow it to pass from you.
You also might notice the thoughts like a program on a television channel or a program on a radio or a program on the internet and you might just notice that program and simply allow it to pass as you might do when you allow yourself to switch gears and to switch channels using the remote or simply clicking away.
Allow yourself to notice non-judgmentally,
Be compassionate with yourself.
It's okay to notice when we notice we're becoming engaged with our thoughts and kindly,
Gently with yourself,
Simply allow it to pass like the cloud moving slowly forward and away from us onto its next journey.
If you're outside,
You might notice the bountiful earth around the fields of golden green grass,
Brilliant blue sky meeting the ground,
Verdant fields,
Hills and mountains.
You might notice the smell of the earth,
The texture of warmth upon the skin.
You might notice the sensation of breeze like breath gently tapping upon the skin.
If indoors,
You might notice the sound of the breath.
You might notice the sounds of the room around you.
You might notice a gentle breeze slipping past you and brushing along your cheek.
And in these moments,
Simply allow your thoughts and your center to return to the sound of my voice,
The sound of the breath.
We are all wellness.
We are all,
We are each cultivating wellness.
We have wellness within us.
We have powerful tools for healing within the body.
We have tools to support us so that we engage less physically with others and that we might engage more with ourselves internally,
Or we might engage more with others emotionally or socially through distance.
We are all connected and we remain connected through these times,
Through our energy fields,
Through the spirit that contains us,
Through the warm,
Positive feelings we have for one another.
We are all able and cultivate wellness.
We are here right now in this moment together on this planet,
In this beautiful verdant space,
Enjoying the dollop of sky nature has blessed us with.
Enjoying the nice smooth fields of green and brown mud and grass that also nourishes and supports us and all beings.
We are here right now with each other.
I guide you to offer yourself loving kindness and care and support for yourself and the ways that you need to be supported during these times and all times.
I invite you to place a hand gently upon the heart,
Upon the chest in an area that's comfortable for you and imagine and allow yourself to receive the energy of loving kindness within the body,
Within the heart space,
The tool allowing us to support ourselves and each other in positive,
Inclusive ways.
I invite you to take a nice breath inward and release that breath outward at a pace comfortable for you,
Noticing the breath,
Noticing the rise and fall of the torso beneath your hand,
Noticing the way the earth continues to support us.
We are here right now in this moment together.
I invite you to open your eyes slowly.
You might blink your eyes a few times as you become readjusted to the light space around you.
You might continue to have your hand upon your heart or you might remove the hand and simply place it gently in your lap or next to you as we continue to allow our shoulders to drape gently from the ears and to have our spine resting in a nice,
Comfortable,
Straight position,
A position that is comfortable for your body type.
I offer you each the gift of loving kindness.
We receive this gift on behalf of the earth,
On behalf of nature,
On behalf of ourselves.
We allow ourselves to be nourished thoroughly.
We are well.
We are at peace.
We are blessed.
We are at ease.
We are provided with the many tools,
Scientific and otherwise,
To support ourselves through these times and all times.
We are at ease.
