This is a short mindfulness meditation to help you become present in 5 minutes. You can practice on the go while you're commuting, or when you are at work, or whenever you feel that you need to stop for a moment and create a bit of space in your mind. If you're busy all day, this can be something for you. There is a bell at the beginning and at the end. Close your eyes if possible.

Start with observing your thoughts.

Just observe those thoughts as they are,

Without judging them.

Notice how do you feel right now?

Are there any pleasant or unpleasant feelings?

Whatever you feel,

That's okay.

Notice what body sensations are present by gently scanning the body from your feet to your head.

Now focus on your breath,

The physical sensations of breathing.

Perhaps in your belly and chest.

Just observe the flow of your breathing.

Now slowly expand your awareness for the whole body while maintaining contact with the breath.

If you notice any tension in any area of your body,

Bring your focus there and breathe into that area.

In your own time,

Open your eyes slowly and try to stay for a while with the sensation you've experienced during this short mindfulness practice.

Now close your eyes.
