Let me just hit record.
I'll talk about why did I recall this session,
How to quickly go from feeling hopeless to being enthused.
Actually,
There's a clue in what we just did,
Which I'll go into a bit more.
So,
How I run these sessions is,
Whenever you want,
You can put something in the comments.
Whenever you want,
You can ask a question.
I'll try and keep in touch with the comments.
Usually,
There's a little buzz going on in that comment section.
We'll just go with the flow.
I don't have any plans for when I run a session.
I don't know what I'm going to say.
I just write the title and then I just turn up.
I'm trying to go with my intuition all the time.
I want to also go with the comments section.
What is happening for you guys?
What are your questions around this?
How can this be an experience rather than a I teach you this logically or theoretically?
How can we make this an experience?
Use the comments,
Ask me questions,
Whatever.
Here's how I'd invite you to listen to these things.
Listen for those little playful moments where you're like,
Hmmm,
Hmmm.
You know,
Those moments where you're like,
Look out for that.
Because so often,
And I've caught myself doing this a lot,
So often we go into a conversation or training and we're looking for information which is agreeable with us to confirm what we already know,
To confirm things.
What I'm trying to invite you to hear is to drop everything you know.
To almost go into that curious state of beginner's mind,
As they call it in Zen.
Hmm,
I wonder if,
Ah,
I wonder if it's actually like this.
Ah,
Hmm,
Dropping everything.
Because from that place,
You know,
Even neuroscientists will tell you this,
We open the possibility for development and new learnings to come in.
You know,
When it's like,
Hey,
I'm just trying to listen to confirm everything I already know.
It's almost like we're blocking the learning pathways and the development pathways.
So,
When I learned how to listen like that,
It changed everything for me.
So I want to share that with you first.
And,
Um,
Yeah,
Appreciate the comments.
Sense of expectation.
Okay,
Cool.
So,
How to go from feeling hopeless to being enthused.
I have a real life example from this,
From today,
About me,
Which I'll share in a moment.
Feeling hopeless and then being enthused.
So,
You know,
What is hopeless?
How do you guys define hopeless?
I want to know from you guys,
Like,
How do you,
What do you define hopeless as?
Because I'll tell you what it means to me.
And I want to also hear some things from you as well.
For me,
It's like this low vibration when I'm pessimistic about anything,
Everything,
And I'm just like,
That won't work.
Or I'm just,
I'm just not in the mood for anything.
It doesn't matter what it is.
I just don't want to do anything.
And it's like,
I see no path forward.
I'm judging myself.
That's what hopeless means to me.
I'm judging myself.
I'm judging others.
I'm judging what is even true anymore.
I'm judging,
Is there any point of life?
You know,
It could be linked to depression at that point as well.
There's just no confidence.
There's no faith.
That's what comes up for me.
What do you guys,
How do you guys see hopeless?
Because people see this in different ways,
Right?
Because it's like the body is involved,
The mind is involved,
Everything starts looking different.
Thanks for sharing guys.
I'm going to read some of them out.
Actually I'll read all of them out because at this point I can keep track.
There's not that much.
Okay.
No sense of value in my life.
Yeah,
Definitely can relate to that one.
When you feel you have tried everything and nothing works or changes.
Yeah.
Overwhelmed and frustrated that I'm not where I know I should be.
Ooh,
The should word.
Should word.
I'm going to talk on that one in a moment.
Upless has despaired and no path forward or hope of change.
Yes.
No path forward.
Yeah,
That's a big one.
Afraid.
Hmm.
But,
Shoulding all over myself.
Yes.
Hopeless.
Feeling stuck.
Difficulty shifting away from negative habits.
Oh,
Okay.
Yeah,
Thanks for sharing everyone.
Anyone else wants to share,
Feel free.
But what I got from that is this low vibe.
There's nothing to look forward to.
And there's this feeling of I can't do anything about this now.
There's nowhere to go from here.
Nowhere.
And I can relate to all of this stuff.
And you know the should thing.
It's funny,
When I was taking my coach training,
I went to coach training school and they made this whole big thing of like,
Don't use the word should.
And I was like,
Why?
And they were like,
They explained the whole science behind it of like,
Where does should come from?
What are you trying to imply when you say should?
And it's just stuck with me ever since,
Because it's like should is,
You're in no man's land at that point.
It's like a judgment against yourself.
It's like I should or a need.
You know,
I need to do this.
I need.
You're not quite doing it.
But you're still here.
But then you're judging yourself because you're not doing it.
You know,
And I get it.
Like it is.
It's what happens to all of us.
We we feel this thing is not happening.
We know it would be helpful.
Right.
So the should comes in.
Hey,
You should be doing this,
Raj.
So.
That's what hopeless is.
And now being enthused.
Enthusiastic.
What does that bring up for you?
How do you describe that?
And it's funny,
I'm going to actually grab the dictionary meaning in a moment.
I'll tell you what it says is quite interesting when I read it off like,
Whoa.
So I'll read the dictionary thing and I'll tell you how it feels like for me as well.
It's a dictionary.
Actually,
You guys share as well.
Tell me what you guys think of when you think enthused.
The dictionary says.
Is from Greek.
It's coming from the Greek language originally,
And it says to be possessed by a God.
To be possessed by a God.
Which I translate as you've got just some powerful,
Some powerful force running through you.
Enthused,
Enthusiastic.
And the way it shows up for me is like I'm I'm excited for things.
I'm excited for small things when I'm enthusiastic.
I'm excited to just go for a walk.
I'm excited because there's some.
I'm so enthusiastic about getting outside.
I'm so enthusiastic about I'm going to work on this thing right now.
Because this makes me feel good.
It's like I want to go and do some running right now.
Because I'm centered on what am I doing this for?
What is the reason and the purpose for this activity I'm going to engage in?
Enthusiastic.
It feels good.
Even saying the word feels fun to me.
I can feel the the syllables moving through me.
I wonder if you can feel that as well.
Try it.
Just say it.
Just say it in your head.
Enthusiastic.
It's just something about the tone.
So feel free to share if you want.
And what is how does it feel for you when you feel enthusiastic?
What's going on inside you when you're like that?
Excited,
Positive,
Energetic.
Energetic.
Yes.
Like that.
Lift the vibes.
Positive.
Engaged.
Filled with spirit.
Love that.
Inspired.
And I think the word inspired actually means to be full of spirit as well.
So I love that.
Live uplifted inflow.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So now we've kind of defined,
You know,
The talk was called How to Quickly Go From Feeling Hopeless to Feeling Enthused.
So we've defined the criteria of what we're playing with right now.
I do this sometimes when I'm working with people.
They say,
Raj,
I want to.
I want to create a version of myself that can be peaceful.
Say,
What does that mean?
Let's define that.
What does it mean?
What would you be doing?
What would peaceful you be doing?
John,
Let's imagine the person's name is John.
What peaceful John look like?
And then John,
If he was my client,
Might say,
Well,
I'd be.
Be going to work and not so stressed about it and not taking it home with me.
I'd be.
Karma with with my friends.
Just I just won't be so anxious.
You know,
We'll define it.
What does that mean?
I say,
OK,
So we're stopping you.
What's in the way right now?
I might say,
Where are you at right now?
Compared to this you that we want to create.
And John might say,
Ah,
Well,
Hmm,
These kind of things.
Bring up so much anxiety.
These,
For example,
These thoughts that I'm not good enough.
Or.
I know there's more inside me,
But I'm not able to.
Express that I can't use my voice clearly,
So that just makes me judge myself.
So now John is not in peace.
We know why.
And then he says,
Well,
And also I'm not sleeping too well.
So we look at all of that.
We look at all of the stuff stopping you from getting to where you want to be.
That's the that's the big transformation that can occur,
Right?
You're here and you want to go there.
So I'd encourage you with all of your areas of your life right now.
Write down a list of what you want to be,
Who you want to be.
I want to be a person who can take the lead.
I want to be able to express myself.
Write it all down.
Just write a list down.
And against all of those criteria,
Say,
This is where I'm at now.
This is what's in my way.
So now you have like a you know what's what's going on inside you.
And the next part is just figuring out the path.
To get there.
So there's a little side.
Insight into how I see things,
How I see this game of transformation.
What did I write quickly in the subject?
And I write quickly in the subject.
Because.
Being enthused.
Could happen very quickly.
For example.
Say you're having a really rough day,
You're in the place of hopeless.
I'm so hopeless.
Judging yourself.
This is not so good.
This is this is bad.
I'm in my room alone.
All this stuff's going on.
And then.
You call one of your friends and they make you laugh.
They say something really funny.
And you're like,
And all that,
All of the stuff's gone.
Or they say,
Hey,
How about we do this?
Or you just you just find a way.
You find something that gives you that that forward movement that fills you with that energy that,
You know,
They call God in the definition fills you with that.
You've shifted.
You shifted quickly.
You shifted quickly.
Let me tell you the real life example that I was mentioning earlier.
Today,
Literally today.
I woke up and I said,
It's my day off.
It's my day off.
Sunday is a very sacred day for me.
What am I going to do with my day?
I woke up feeling exhausted,
Been lifting a lot of weights and doing a lot of running recently.
I'm playing this game of reconnecting to my.
What should I even call this?
I used elite health with one of my clients,
Reconnecting to that elite level of health.
So I've been putting in some work,
Right?
So I woke up exhausted.
Body's tired,
Did some yoga and then I felt good again.
Right.
So I shifted that state.
And then I say,
What am I going to do with my day today?
The whole day ahead of me.
I don't want to sit here.
No,
That's that's what I don't want.
And I got stuck in this cycle of like random stuff for a while.
And then I started judging myself.
I said,
Raj,
Like,
What are you doing?
Like,
You're you're on your computer.
You're you're just sitting here.
What are you going to do?
But you wanted to enjoy your day,
Raj.
So then.
I said,
I'm going to go to this beautiful part that I've not been to.
Actually,
Let me slow down.
Up until that point,
I was feeling tense.
I was judging myself.
I was wasting time looking at random nonsense that didn't do anything for my life.
I was seeing tension in my body as well,
Really seeing it and feeling it.
I was in this world of,
What should I call it,
Like,
No man's land.
I was like in between being here and action.
You ever felt that when you're in between worlds,
You're not allowing yourself to just be.
You're not you're not just being and you're not doing you're in no man's land.
It's like the mental world of in between things.
So I'm looking for places to go.
I'm like,
Where do I go?
I've been to that place before.
It's not going to be as fun.
What about that place?
What about that place?
The other thing I started realizing was how much.
Thoughts were whizzing around in my head,
Thoughts from just general stuff like collected conversations I've had.
Things I've seen,
It all just started hitting me all at once.
And I was like,
Whoa,
I'm full right now.
I really need to get out and go to that park.
So anyway,
I go to the park and then what ends up happening?
The most beautiful park,
The most beautiful day,
Listening to an audio book about love,
Really good audio book about love.
And then I realize I'm still taking this.
This tension with me,
The park,
It doesn't matter if I'm in a park,
It's still here.
I've taken it with me.
I've just taken the suitcase of tension and thoughts and overthinking with me.
You know,
Like wherever you go,
There you are,
Really.
That's what was coming up for me.
Wherever you go,
There you are.
So then I get to the top of this hill.
And I say,
I am just going to sit there.
Just going to sit.
I'm not going to listen to this audio book.
No,
I'm not listening to the audio book.
I'm not going to do anything.
Why?
Because my body needs something right now.
My body needs something.
It needs to lie down,
Needs to rest.
My mind needs to rest.
It doesn't need to take in anything right now.
I'm full.
I need to release something before I put more things in.
So I go and lie down and I do a yoga nidra.
You guys ever done yoga nidra?
Do a yoga nidra for 20 minutes.
And by the way,
I've got a yoga nidra on my page.
Quickly throw that in there.
It's meant to be quite popular.
Do a yoga nidra for 20 minutes.
And I lie there and,
You know,
I don't know if this happens to you guys,
But when I'm really tired,
Tears come out of my eyes.
Like my eyes.
What's the word for it?
Just release water heavily.
Right.
When I'm really tired,
My eyes heavily is releasing water.
So I'm feeling all this water coming down from tiredness,
From yawning and stuff.
And I went into a trance basically through that yoga nidra.
My body went into the deepest rest like a rock.
I was like a rock.
20 minutes.
It's finished.
And then I just I just lie there a little bit longer.
I'm fully awake.
I'm not asleep.
Fully awake.
But my body's rested.
My body is completely rested.
My mind is rested.
Clarity.
Complete clarity.
Complete space.
Complete space.
For 20 minutes.
And I wake up feeling like I've slept for a whole day.
I feel like I've slept for like a whole night or something.
Because I allowed myself to completely let go during that experience.
Fully,
Fully,
Fully let go.
Like it was like my body was in the ground.
Like I sunk into the ground almost.
And then the sun is beaming down on me.
I get up and I just start writing.
Start writing anything.
There's no thought coming in.
I started writing.
Then a poem came out of that writing.
Just rhyming and all these all these words.
Beautiful words.
I'm just looking around,
Looking at people like.
These people are just.
Here.
We're all just here right now.
We're all just connected.
I was enjoying like hearing people's conversations.
And just hearing little birds.
A little pigeon came next to me and I was like,
Ah.
What a nice pigeon.
And the point I'm trying to make is.
20 minutes sometimes.
All it takes.
Quickly.
That's the quickly from the topic today.
Quickly.
And it's like I don't need to change my psychological thinking.
I don't need to go and see a psychotherapist.
To figure out why.
What's going on with me.
I don't need to know the story of all of this.
Sometimes the body and the mind just need rest.
They need to rest in being.
No,
Not sleeping.
Just to be there.
So that's the first one of the first things I want to explain or guide you towards is.
To go from feeling hopeless to being enthused.
Sometimes you have to just let everything go.
When it's this game of figuring out analysis.
And just constant think,
Think,
Think.
The body starts working with the mind and there is tensions getting made everywhere now.
Digestions probably not working well.
The same time,
You know,
The whole body's involved.
It thinks there's a danger now.
So it's almost like we have to command ourselves.
We have to come take the lead and say,
Hey.
You mind and you body.
You've got to have a nap.
Like being a parent to ourselves.
It'll be a parent and say,
Hey,
Kids,
It's time for your nap.
You're making too much noise out here.
You're making too much noise and throwing stuff everywhere.
You need a nap because you're cranky.
You know,
Just like my nephews,
When they haven't when they're tired,
They go they turn into like little troublemakers.
It's like they they were so cute and they turned these terrors.
It's the same with us.
Our body and our mind turn into terrors when they've been overworked.
So it's like you,
The parent,
Have to be like,
Hey,
Body,
Mind,
Time for your nap.
Time for your nap.
You're talking too much.
So that's what can occur when you allow yourself to fully rest.
I want to see what comes up in the comments,
Guys.
I'll take you through a practice at some point,
Too.
What comes up for you as I'm saying all this?
Have you tried letting go and doing things like this?
Just being.
You take yourself wherever you go.
Exactly.
You know,
Like you can.
It's funny because I was on,
I was in India once in the Taj Mahal.
One of the most beautiful places ever.
It really was.
It surprised me.
I didn't expect that.
I was like,
I've seen the photo,
Whatever.
I was there.
I was like,
Whoa,
There's some alien technology here.
It's like,
Yeah,
Alien architecture.
Amazing.
But before I was able to see it like that,
I was in this like moody state,
Let's call it.
I was hot.
I was tired from all the traveling from the previous weeks.
And there was a massive queue.
There's people trying to sell me things all day long.
I became this like miserable person in this beautiful place.
And the girl I was with at the time,
You know,
I ruined the experience for her.
I literally ruined her experience.
She was like,
This is the only time I'm ever going to come here.
And you're just a miserable mess complaining about everything.
You know,
Like.
It doesn't matter where you are.
It's how we're seeing things inside.
It's not the outside.
Never is.
The park doesn't matter if I was in a beautiful park.
Doesn't matter if I'm in a beach in Bali.
It does not matter.
If all of that stuff is coming up.
You know,
I could be at home in a dark room.
But if I'm at home in a dark room and in a peaceful place,
I'm having way more fun than being at a beach and miserable,
You know.
So,
Yeah,
Wherever you go there,
You are a big one.
It impacted me a lot.
So.
That was my real life example.
And afterwards.
It's like every time this happens.
Every single time this happens,
I come out of it smiling and saying.
Oh,
It's.
OK,
As easy as that.
I can still get caught up in the.
The drama sometimes,
You know,
We all can.
We're humans.
We get caught up in the drama.
Something's wrong with me.
I need this.
I'm missing this.
All of that drama can come up.
And that's when we feel hopeless,
When we feel like something is missing or something is wrong fundamentally inside.
It's just a pattern of its program occurring.
And sometimes it is as easy as I take some space.
For myself.
My body's tired.
You know,
We sometimes push through things.
My body needs some rest.
Sometimes when I'm teaching someone a meditation,
They start yawning heavily or some people even fall asleep because we don't even realize at times that our body's tired.
Our mind has overpowered it to keep us awake.
You know.
The mind is like.
Deluded the diluted our awareness of our body.
Sometimes people think,
Well,
If I if I just rest,
Then.
This.
It doesn't feel like a powerful move.
Feels like I don't have time to rest.
Raj,
I don't know,
20 minutes in the day to just randomly do this.
I see it as an investment,
As a as like strategic.
Strategic moves sometimes.
I say to people like what was the.
Pay off.
What will you get if you do this?
And they try it and then they say.
I'm full of energy again.
Says the first thing,
I'm looking at your body and your mind,
And I'll take you through a practice just in a moment for that.
The next thing is.
So,
You know,
That brings you into being that brings you into presence.
But the next thing is.
Knowing your power.
To create.
Knowing your power to create.
Whether that's create change.
Whether that is creating.
Something that you want.
You know,
It could be I want to create a new job.
Or I want to create a new relationship.
Well,
I want to transform.
Like my energy states.
Whatever.
Knowing it first.
I'm not talking about doing it right now.
Doing it is a different part of this.
But knowing that you have.
The ability to make a change.
Knowing that's possible,
You know.
Because hopelessness is.
I give up.
You know,
It's that I give up.
This just this doesn't work.
I'm going to be like this forever.
It's just this like doom that might occur.
Knowing there's something possible is.
Excites you then,
Because it's like,
Well,
This is where I'm at,
But it's what I'm moving towards.
It's feeling empowered.
For example.
In my clients,
She talks about.
She's talking about how she wants to be the leader.
She wants to step into more leadership skills and opportunities and stuff like that.
And she says,
Well,
She started off saying,
I don't think that's not that type of person.
I just like to just do my thing and then leave.
I'd like to be that.
And I was like,
Ah,
OK,
Here we go.
Here we go.
You'd like to be there.
But you think you're fixed in a way of being.
You've convinced yourself that I'm not that type of person.
I said to her again,
Like,
Well,
If you were.
If you were stepping into leadership,
What would that mean?
What would you be doing?
And she said,
Well,
I'll be speaking more in meetings.
And then she said,
Not even just that,
Just with my personal life,
I'd be able to express myself to my friends or I'd be able to express myself to family.
I'd be able to put something into writing,
Maybe.
So then.
I started giving her little ways to start doing the challenges.
OK,
How about you do this small thing?
Why you ask your work if you can do this?
What would that be like?
She said,
Yeah,
That'd be cool,
Because that would mean I'd have a bit of experience speaking.
Then she started doing it.
Now it's almost like the path has been created.
Through tiny actions.
Confidence has been gained from I've done it once now.
OK,
I can do a bit more of that now.
Cool.
And that creates that enthusiasm again.
You know,
Our brain,
All the hormones inside it,
We get reward hormones.
Dopamine.
When we complete something.
Ah,
Look,
I did it.
Feels good.
Proved ourselves wrong,
You know.
So that's the other part of this is.
Creating enthusiasm by taking actions on the things that we think are not possible,
We're not confident in.
Doing it in a tiny way.
Knowing we can do it as well.
So.
Let me know what comes up for you guys in the comments,
If anything,
No pressure.
Any questions?
Any insights,
Anything you've got from these first 47 minutes so far on,
I take this moment to take a pause.
It allows me to hydrate in the heat.
OK,
Nothing in the comments.
So I want to guide us through a practice then.
OK,
I've got something come through now.
Let me just read that out first.
Yeah,
You know,
The whole sleep topic is a huge one.
I might actually do an event on sleep next time because I used to have massive,
Massive problems sleeping.
I used to be in my bed overthinking.
I used to be worried about if I didn't sleep,
This might happen.
All sorts of stuff.
I tried all sorts of sleep routines,
Supplements,
Teas.
It didn't really help.
But things like meditation definitely did.
It's like there's a snow globe being shaken throughout the day with our thoughts.
We're using this thing so much.
We're shaking it so much.
So much.
And if you go dive into bed like that without any like thing of like,
Oh,
Let's just let the snow globe stop first.
And it's like some of the time in bed is spent slowing down and then getting annoyed because you're not tired.
So even more tension occurs because of that.
So it's even harder to sleep.
So for me,
It was a massive,
Massive game changer when I started having an evening routine.
Like huge.
I didn't even I didn't have an evening routine for years,
Actually,
Because I was like,
No,
No,
I do I do a morning practice.
I do all this stuff.
I'm good.
But when I did the evening routine,
Just like it was simple and I still do it now actually.
Shower.
Before bed,
Put my device away.
And then sit,
Meditate for 10 minutes.
I'll do some breathing.
I'll do certain nostril breathing because that links to the system as well.
So I'll do I'll do a little bit of breathing for a few minutes and just to slow me down.
Let go of the day.
Meditate.
I'll think about what happened today.
This happened.
What was nice about today?
Oh,
This was nice.
What are my what are my intentions for life?
What keeps me enthused?
Like today's topic.
What keeps me enthused?
What makes me feel alive?
What am I excited for?
OK,
Cool.
This.
Yeah,
That's nice.
It's nice feeling that nice little glow before I go bed in a massage.
And then I'll just settle down and go to bed.
Even things like compassion and gratitude for a minute,
Even like a quick,
Quick check in for 10 seconds would be useful.
And wow,
I've slept so much better.
I don't even need much sleep because of that now.
I can I can run off like five hours sleep and wake up shining.
Because.
You know,
Like the the state of restfulness is not dependent on the hours slept at night.
It depends on how restful you are in general.
If you're able to do things that slow you down in the day,
Then the brain and the body doesn't need to work as hard when you're sleeping.
It's my thoughts anyway,
That's been my experience.
Anyway,
That was my little comment on your comment.
What if.
Oh,
Wait,
Hold on,
Let me come back to let me come back to that.
So it's also the phone.
Sometimes I read about I read something that's upsetting and I see it.
Ah,
Yes,
Phones.
Wow.
Yeah,
I can talk about phones for a long time.
And especially scrolling.
Yeah.
Being bombarded with things,
You know,
Bombarded with things.
And it's like in the old days,
We would have to.
Call someone to hear about their lives,
And now it's like this random people's lives are all over the place.
All this all this stuff comes up like comparison and.
You know,
Comparing ourselves and and looking at what people are doing and.
And just the energy spent looking at the phone,
You know,
Just all of that energy spent holding it even my hand.
And even just using the hand actions and having my brains having to think.
Yeah,
Yeah,
There's a lot of stuff that can occur,
Especially at night,
Because it's like before you go to bed.
You take that with you,
Then whatever you've just scrolled,
It absorbs now is absorbed into you.
I'm glad that was useful.
Yeah,
I might do it.
I might actually do it next session on sleep.
Let me think about that.
I've got a whole bunch of ideas,
But I'll keep that in mind.
So the question above.
What if you're comfortable with taking action,
But then it still feels like nothing is changing,
Despite your efforts?
Hmm.
Interesting.
Yeah,
So depending on how long your actions are taken,
If this was me,
By the way,
And I'm not saying you are me.
This was me or someone I was coaching.
I'd say.
OK,
Maybe we've got to look at this again,
Like if you're doing the things that.
You think are going to work.
But they're not doing anything to help you.
They're not moving forward.
Then let's look at this again.
Maybe these aren't the right type of things for you.
You know,
For example.
When people come to me,
Sometimes they've they've looked on the Internet,
Their friends have told them this.
This person said this.
There's all these theories everywhere.
Right.
Theories are everywhere.
So we're trying to do everything based on the theory.
I've learned is.
I have to I have to listen to my inner guidance,
My intuition to know,
Like this is the right action for me.
This works with me and the way I live my life.
So that's usually what I do if I'm checking in on someone or myself.
Like I've taken tons of actions,
Which scientifically or based on someone else's success strategy has worked for them or many people even.
It just it just doesn't align for me.
It doesn't work.
And there's usually a few reasons for that.
And one of them sometimes is.
It's just not my thing,
Just it's just not working for me.
So what would work for me?
It's the first thing that comes up when I see that the part is.
If I was if I talk in like the business perspective now,
If I'm working with someone on that side.
I'd say.
Collecting knows.
Collecting failures is such an important part of first learning about yourself.
Just being comfortable with facing the things that aren't working,
Facing it,
Hearing a no from someone or messing things up.
Doing something and you get nothing from it,
But then taking the wisdom from it.
Oh,
What happened to you?
You know,
Not taking it personally,
Just really looking at it.
I took these actions.
Hmm.
This this is this didn't work.
What I get from it.
What I'd learn.
Oh,
Cool.
I got that.
I got something then I learned something.
That's what comes up.
I probably probably need to hear more about your specific situation to.
Talk more on this.
So if you want,
We can have a conversation.
And I can speak to you specifically.
That's just some generic stuff that comes up for me.
OK.
Any other questions,
Just put them in the chat whenever and I'll come back to them because I usually see the question mark.
Somehow I see it.
So if you want to ask anything,
Just ask any time,
Even if it's not related to what we're talking about today.
Feel free to ask.
And what a lot of people do is they will send me a private message either on here or on my social media.
They'll just ask me a question or some people just say hello.
You know,
I'd like you to just say hello.
They say,
I liked your session,
Raj.
That was so cool.
Yeah.
This,
This,
This,
This,
Whatever.
So if you want,
Just drop me a message,
Drop me an email,
Whatever.
And if you specifically want some help with something or you're going through some of these things we're talking about,
These challenges,
Then we can have a conversation on that as well.
See if I can help you.
So that got some hearts.
Maybe I'll get 100 messages today,
Which is fine.
Cool.
All right.
So I'm going to lead a short practice now.
Everyone get into your space,
Whatever your space is,
Maybe you get into this formal position of practice or meditation.
There's loads of hearts coming in right now.
What's going on?
I love it.
Get into your space,
Get into your position or whatever that is.
And.
Or just you can just stay how you are.
You know,
There's no like,
Hey,
You must do this or that.
Stay,
Stay however you want.
You can keep your eyes open or eyes closed.
Eyes open is,
You know,
In Zen practice,
They keep the eyes open.
There's other practices where they keep the eyes open.
If you prefer,
Close your eyes.
Then become aware of your body.
Yeah,
The thing that you're living in.
Then you're living in this flesh you're carrying around,
You know,
You have to carry this flesh around everywhere.
Be with it,
Look at it,
Look at it right now.
Look at your hands.
Just look at them like it's the first time you've ever looked at it.
Oh,
Look,
It feels like this.
Ah,
These are my hands.
I'm the one seeing this.
And then bring your awareness to your feet.
And if you sense any like you're taking this too seriously,
Let's just make this a little fun practice,
Little playful.
Maybe smile.
Little half smile,
Maybe.
It's like when my nephew has a little smile.
Everyone's so excited about it.
Because it's infectious.
It's nice.
You have that too.
And then come to your feet again.
When do you bring your awareness to your feet?
You know,
We put these socks over these feet and we walk on them.
They're doing a lot of work.
Bring your awareness to them.
Feel them in this moment.
And then notice if there's any thoughts bubbling around.
Maybe there's this thought of when is he going to really start this thing?
Why does he keep talking?
Maybe there's some thoughts about yourself.
Maybe you're judging the way you meditate.
Sometimes that comes up.
All of these thoughts are okay.
Actually,
They're beautiful.
It's just life expressing itself through you.
It's all good.
It's all natural.
Start becoming aware of your breath and your stomach.
Notice how the belly rises and falls.
All on its own.
And if you sense yourself trying to breathe,
Sing it to slow down.
How about you just drop that for now?
There's times for that.
I invite you to just let it all go.
Let your belly breathe itself.
Bring your awareness to the ground beneath you.
And to my voice.
See if you can allow me to guide you for a short moment.
See if you can allow yourself to surrender.
Just for now.
Imagine there were roots in the ground.
They started wrapping themselves around your feet.
Sending you charges of energy.
Into your feet.
With every in-breath.
How the energy you live up through your body.
And with every out-breath.
Feel it leaving back down into the ground.
Breathing in.
I'm alive.
Breathing out.
Let go.
Breathing in.
I am alive.
Breathing out.
I let go.
Now follow your own wisdom.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Bring your awareness to the area of your hips.
And feel the aliveness right there.
Bringing awareness to your stomach.
You feel the force of energy.
Spinning around in the stomach.
Feel the heat in your body.
Life inside you.
Notice your left hand and your right hand.
In your left side of the chest and the right side of the chest.
Feel the heart by thinking of someone you love.
See them.
Feel them.
And notice any sensations in your heart.
Let your breath move through the heart.
Let there be space inside your heart.
Through your breath.
And bring your awareness to your throat.
Your left eye and right eye.
And to the space between your eyebrows.
Space.
And then bring your awareness to the top of the head.
The space above and outside of you.
The limited space.
Be aware of the whole body.
Whole body.
And be aware of everything outside of the body.
Allow yourself to stay here for a few more moments.
Let your breath move through the heart.
And then bring your awareness to the top of the head.
So start to notice your breath and body.
Start moving parts of your body.
Fingers.
Toes.
And then open your eyes.
And come back to the group.
So that's all I have guys.
Let me know if that shifted any energy for you.
If you like,
You might still be in a daze.
That's okay too.
Now like I said during the session.
Coming back to this place of wholeness.
It's always available.
We just have to remind ourselves of it.
We are actually whole.
We just get caught up in our thinking.
We are caught up in the doing.
I have to do this.
I have to go on this healing journey.
I have to do this.
I have to do this and this and this.
So much of it.
So much.
Turns into an illusion of its own.
We get out of the illusion and we add more illusion.
I have done this.
I am not pointing my finger at anyone.
I am just saying what usually occurs for most people.
Including me.
So I would like to bring it back to the real basics.
The true wisdom.
And one of those is coming back to wholeness.
To presence.
To our bodies feeling calm.
No matter what I am doing with someone.
It doesn't matter what they want to work on.
There is always,
Always this requirement to be calm.
To be here.
Before you go and do stuff.
Right?
Because you know working from that space of I am full.
I am whole.
I am joyful.
I am good.
I am okay with it myself.
Working from that place is so powerful.
And the other part of this is having something to be enthused about.
Right?
So it is not just this inner feeling.
It is also having something to be excited about.
To be working towards.
This is where the worlds collide for me of being and doing.
Even the doing is done from a being state.
But what I am really talking about is having something to move towards.
I want to write a book.
Or I want to have a career in this.
I want to start this kind of thing.
A lot of people that come to me are people who want to create something.
Sometimes it is a business or they want to accomplish something.
Transitioning into a new type of career.
And then a lot of people that come to me just want to be okay with what is happening right now.
And then what I find is usually the combination of the two.
Of being so good and joyful right now.
And then having something to work towards.
Something that you are looking forward to.
Having things to look forward to is really just nice.
It is just nice.
If we didn't have anything to look forward to.
I am not trying to guide people towards a life of being in a monastery.
There is no disrespect there but that is just not my thing.
I want you to be able to live fully whilst also being in the monk mindset.
So that is all I have for today guys.
How to go from feeling hopeless to being enthused.
Well there is a few things I mentioned today.
Hopefully you got something from this.
So I am going to leave it there.
I think there is a few questions.
Let me quickly come to them.
And if anyone has any other questions.
Like I said a lot of people just directly find me somewhere.
Either my website is withraj.
Com Withraj.
Com you will find all my ways to contact me.
Social media.
You will see all these free resources on there.
Old talks,
Yoga nidras,
Everything is there.
Or you can just find me on Instagram.
Or here even.
You can just direct message me here.
And just ask me whatever you want.
Or just feel free to connect right.
There has been some people who I have connected with.
And it has led to all sorts of things.
So yeah that is my invitation.
Let me just come to those questions real quick.
So.
Dealing with difficult people.
Hmm your thoughts on it.
I could say a lot of stuff on that.
But what is your specific question?
Because that is a I don't know what to say.
There is so much I could say.
The only thing I would say is.
Difficult people.
Yeah they are not very fun sometimes to be around.
But then I would also say look into yourself.
Like how are you dealing with it?
How can difficult be your practice of meditation almost?
They are being difficult.
Okay how can you show up in that place?
Because if it is like difficult person is making everything.
Is ruining my life.
Yeah I get that as well right.
But I am also trying to bring you back to what can you do about this?
Who can you be?
That is what comes up.
Do you still struggle with periods of worry or rumination?
Or can you get out of it quickly?
Yes.
To both of those parts.
Yes.
100%.
I tell my clients this as well.
I am like hey this is going on for me.
It got me stuck in my head.
But the thing I have been able to cultivate is.
Yeah I am able to get myself out of it quickly.
Way way quicker than I used to.
Because it is like I am aware of what is occurring inside of me.
And sometimes you know sometimes the things of like worry or repeated thoughts.
Sometimes it is trying to tell me something.
It is trying to encourage me in a very aggressive not nice way.
Aggressive not nice voice sometimes.
So I have to look at the wisdom within that.
What can I learn from this?
Oh this person is saying things that makes me feel uncomfortable.
What can I learn about myself from this?
What do I need to work on now?
Oh great now I got something from this.
I got something from this worrying and difficult situation.
Rather than it has just ruined everything and it is an annoying thing.
So yeah I 100% have many periods of that.
Like just today.
I was getting tense.
But then I have to look at all of the information.
Like oh my body is tense.
My body needs a bit of rest.
There is nothing I need to do here.
Nothing I need to do.
Nothing I need to figure out.
Nothing is wrong with me.
What is really happening?
So yeah to answer your question it happens a lot often.
Probably every day.
To some level right?
There is all sorts of thinking.
But it is just I am able to look at the wisdom behind it.
It is like you know you even think about people like the people that are talked about like Buddha and you know whoever an enlightened person.
They haven't gotten rid of the thinking.
You can't get rid of it.
It is an occurrence.
You know if someone came and if Buddha was in a car and someone was aggressively driving in front of him or doing something crazy.
I am sure he would hear thoughts of annoyance.
It is the reaction that is different right?
It is the having composure.
Knowing what is happening inside.
That is what comes up for me.
A lot of people say to me I want to stop my thoughts.
I say sorry I am not going to help you stop that.
Because I don't know how to do that.
Yeah if you get into very deep states of meditation.
I have experienced that sometimes.
I am not saying no.
I am saying you have to live with a thinking mind.
You have to be able to live with a mind that thinks you know.
I think that is the modern way to do it where a lot of people are not able to disappear from the world and live in isolation.
You know?
Especially people that I work with who have normal lives.
Anyway I am going to leave it as that.
Oh there is one more.
Quickly go on that one.
Alright.
How to balance between actions to correct wrong setting boundaries.
Confronting someone who is in the wrong.
Ahh.
Hmm.
That is a tricky one.
Because there is a lot of things in that question you had.
That is a loaded question.
It is a great one.
No judgement or anything but it is a loaded one.
So the only thing I will say and by the way if you have something specific that you want to talk about like I said we can talk about this privately.
But generalizing,
Generalized response is wisdom.
Like going deep within yourself.
Going deep within yourself you will find the answer for how to do this.
Because I don't know the person.
I don't know the situation.
Go really deep into a loving state where you can look with the eyes of love.
You can look with the eyes of love and see what that tells you.
Sometimes when I get a question from my clients and they are all up in this stuff.
I have said this to them before.
If love was a person what would it say?
Why are you asking me?
If love was a person ask love.
Ask love what would love say?
And that brings them to their own wisdom.
So I am sure I am going to leave this as an ending note.
Umm.
.
.
I hope you got something from this guys.
And whatever you take from this the best thing you can do is digest that after the session.
After.
Just the prime time.
So it doesn't disappear into nothing.
See what you can do with what you got from today.
See where you want to take this.
See what you can change in your life as a result of what you heard.
If you got anything from it anyway.
Because that's when your life will start to change.
Really.
So look into that.
Look into your next steps.
Not just you came here.
What's your next steps?
Cool.
I am going to leave it as that.
I am going to upload things.
I have still got a few things to upload from the past.
So yeah I don't know when this will be available.
Let's say end of the month.
Alright guys see you later.
Have a good one.
Have fun.
Enjoy and you know all this stuff it feels sometimes like serious stuff.
You could take this with a playful attitude and it becomes much more fun.
And that allows the change to happen inside of you when it's much more fun.
When it's a bit light hearted.
Instead of like oh Buddha Buddha said this I must do this because it says this thing.
Oh no I am not doing this.
All that tension.
Treat all this stuff with playfulness and you will see a massive change.
Because I know I got caught up in the seriousness of over doing certain things.
Anyways I will speak to you guys soon.
Have fun.
